Setting A Destination

Under constant reminder from the system, Ethan woke up in half sleep state. There are some people, if they disturbed you when you are in a deep sleep, then no matter who they are, be it friend or for, mother or father, brother or sister, wife or lover, you will have the urge to beat them to death.

Ethan comes under this category. But the System has no physical form. Alas, except for endless curses, he could do nothing to the system. And this is not the annoying part. The most annoying part is that the system doesn't have any feelings.

All it could do is to follow it's commands issued by the owner. It doesn't have any feelings to feel bad about its owner's curses.

Ethan wanted to cry. But no tears came out from his eyes. After sitting angrily for five minutes on his bed, his half sleep state was now gone and he came back to the reality.

We finally got out from his bed and entered the washroom. After finally wrapping up everything, he walked out and locked his dormitory. Then he went to the mission hall. He took a random mission. He intentionally chose a mission that will take around one year to complete. Later he left towards the library.

He opened the library and then stepped in. He particularly walked towards the spot where he actually found the memory Crystal. Since he had already seen the recording in the memory crystal, this crystal has no value for him anymore. So he decided to put the crystal back to the place where he actually got it.

Ethan still didn't understand why exactly the library was included in the administration list to begin with. The founder of the academy strictly ordered the current Dean, Will to never open the academy's library until the situation looks good for them.

And he was clever enough to know that the situation of the academy hasn't improved. In fact, over the time, since the past 200 years, the situation of the academy has declined to the very poor state. There is no way the Dean of the academy would issue such an order.

He didn't know why exactly the management of the library was put on the administration list. But he was sure that there is a big story behind it.

Never underestimate Ethan in this aspect. He might be a fool in other aspects. But his brain was sharpened in this kind of situations from reading too many cultivation novels. In major things related to earth, he will fail with high probability. But in the cultivation world, he is like a different person. He always felt that he is unfit on earth. This is the place he belonged. So he is doing exceptionally good.

Even on earth, he was mostly called a Fool. But when he played the game [Ascension], things became different. He was the top expert of the game since that game was all about the cultivation. So his intuition in this kind of situation was always close to accurate.

Whatever the reason is, he was sure that he had no power to defend himself if things goes wrong. One should remember that he is yet to start his practice in the cultivation techniques. So he hd no battle techniques to fight again anyone.

The only reason why he was able to reach the 5th Level of Elementary Stage was all because he depended on Attribute Points to level his stats. He didn't practice any breathing or combat techniques.

Ethan made up his mind. By the time he returns, he will become someone strong. He should surpass the dean of the academy at least. Or else, he will be doomed. He had read regarding such situations in the cultivation novels. So he knew how this works better than anyone else.

After taking care of all the necessary things, Ethan left the library. He showed his approval letter regarding the random mission he took up to the guards guarding the main entrance and finally left the academy.

Ethan left the academy and walked quite a distance away from the academy. He might have walked 20km away from the academy. And yet he was not tired even a slightest bit. He knew that all this was possible only because he became a cultivator and currently reached the 5th Level of Elementary Stage. Or else, walking 20km and not feeling even a little bit, well, it was not possible even for the Usain Bolt!

Since he left the academy, now there is a major question lingering through his mind. What exactly he should do now? This was a big mess. Because even though he had a plan in his mind, he doesn't know where to start it.

To have no destination and yet daring to leave the place where you get both food and shelter? That is something only a fool would do.

Even After wracking his head for some time, he finally thought of a place. He decided to go to a place called Phoenix Feather City. Phoenix Feather city is one of the biggest cities in the Royal God Sect. And this City was the base of Sacred Fire Academy!

Just like Sacred Wind Academy, Sacred Fire Academy is one of the academies which runs under the Royal God Sect. Every couple of years, they manages to recruit and nurture great experts and these experts would be sent to the Royal God Sect for further development.

Even though there are hundreds of academies, there were ten academies which were first to enrol under the Royal God Sect. These ten academies were given similar looking names.

Sacred Wind Academy, Sacred Earth Academy, Sacred Fire Academy, Sacred Water Academy, Sacred Metal Academy, Sacred Wood Academy, Sacred Light Academy, Sacred Darkness Academy, Sacred Time Academy and Sacred Space Academy.

These ten academies had special privileges compared to other academies under the Royal God Sect. The resources they get each year was three times more than any other academy. And this was one of the reason why Sacred Wind Academy stood without disbandment. Since the founder of the sect and the Sacred Wind Academy were friends, the treatment they received was not at all less.

Ethan's destination is Phoenix Feather City where Sacred Fire Academy was established. It's not that he found anything special at that place. But since the City is the nearest to his current location, he decided to go there.

He already saved the map of the entire Sect in his system. So navigation was not at all any issue for him. His intuition was telling him that the navigation system of the system is many times accurate than the Google Maps.

He is not disrespectful towards the Google Maps though. Google depends on the software coding to create Google Maps. So the possibility of bugs was very high.

But this is the cultivation world. Here the rate of accuracy will always be higher than what earth could afford. That's all he wants to say.
