Golden Immortal Mountain

Ethan calmed down. He thought that that thought itself is a foolish one. He was up agains the Spirit God. How easy it was for someone like Spirit God to kill him. Why would the Spirit God use cheap trick like using poison to kill a small Ant like existence like him? He felt that he was overthinking it.

But it still remained a mystery as for why he was still in the village. He was still unsure why the restrictions on this village is no longer working on him?

'Forget it! Thinking is useless. System! Go through the complete checkup and tell me whether I have any poison or any life taking substances present in my body. If there are any, please inform me." ,Ethan thought that thinking about all these things are useless. So he gave an order to the system and asked for it's assistance.

Ethan sighed. Even the mighty system would take a whole sum of three days. He was afraid that something unexpected might happen in these three days. But he calmed down. After all, all these poison stuff was just his theory. The possibility is less than 1%. So he was hoping for the best.

He then turned towards Assane and said, "Could you do me a favour? Please don't tell anyone that a cultivator entered the village successfully. It will freak them out."

"Sure. I won't tell anyone." ,Assane replied without any hesitation. He thought that Ethan's request was logical. He don't want to see people freaking out when they find out that a cultivator was able to enter the village without any restrictions.

"I am ashamed to ask… but could I have something to eat? I haven't eaten anything in a while." ,Ethan requested embarrassedly.

"Oh? I forgot. We already prepared food. After all, it is the noon time." ,Assane replied. He then added, "Please come with us. We will prepre lunch for you."

"Tilly! Bring big brother outside so that we can feed big brother some food." ,Assane said to his daughter.

"Yes, father!" ,Tilly who was silent all the time said cheerfully. She then turned towards Ethan and said, "Big brother! Please come with me."

"Yes madam!" ,Ethan replied jokingly. He was happy to see such a cute and lively little girl. Then he followed her outside the house.

When Ethan walked out, he was stunned. The hut was small. But there was a compound wall which was made of a bunch of wooden sticks which were tied in order. Ethan was not stunned. On earth, he had seen similar huts in India. After all, his family might not be poor. But the surrounding people were poor. So he had a rough idea about the lifestyle of people with poor family background.

"Big brother! Please sit here." ,Tilly guided Ethan and made him sit on a tattered and old chair. Ethan didn't mind and took the chair and sat on it.

Very soon, Tilly brought some food and gave it to Ethan. Ethan's eyes shone as he was excited. He was a vegetarian back on earth. But here in the cultivation world, all he get is meat. He had no choice but to eat the available food with force in order to fill his stomach.

And today for the first time in a while, he was about to eat a vegetarian food prepared through vegetables. This is something unexpected. So he decided to eat to his heart content despite it's taste.

But when Ethan took first bite of the vegetarian food, he was shocked. The taste was extraordinary. And what's more, he felt as if his Spirit power was increasing. Even though it was very thin and small amount of improvement, Ethan could feel that there was improvement.

"This…" ,Ethan was speechless. He looked at Assane and asked, "Mister! Where did you get the ingredients for this food?"

"Well, it was produced by everyone in the village." ,Assane replied after looking at change in Ethan's facial expression. He continued, "Then we will trade all the produced vegetables among ourselves in a fixed rate."

Ethan nodded his head. These mortals were completely safe within the village. If they set their foot outside of this village, then they are done for. So these people might not have the word "money" in their dictionary. So they will produce vegetables and then share it among themselves.

But what he didn't understand is how could this food improve his soul power? Even though it was a minor growth, it is something compared with nothing right? Moreover, increasing the power of the Soul is very tough compared with the body cultivation. And yet, this food is increasing the power of soul. How could he won't find it suspicious?

At that time, a thought came to his mind. He asked, "Where exactly you people cultivate the vegetables?"

"Near the Golden Immortal Mountain." ,Assane replied.

"Golden Immortal Mountain?" ,Ethan asked in a little stunned voice, "What is that?"

"Well, it is the mountain where the person with the Golden light left to in the story I told you just now. We cultivate the vegetables there." ,Assane replied.

Ethan took a deep breath. Earlier he had a little doubt. But now Assane's answer gave him the confirmation of his theory.

He believed that the reason why this food could increase Spirit power might have something to do with the Spirit God. After all, that person with the Golden light is the God of the Spirit. His speciality might have lied in the Spirit Power. Since he was resting in peace here, Ethan felt that the reason why this food improved his Spirit power has something to do with the Spirit God. And Assane's answer proved his theory right.

He then looked at the mountain not far from him. Ethan narrowed his eyes. And he was hesitating whether he should pay a visit to that mountain or not.

"Forget it. With my current strength, it will be equivalent to seeking death if I will go there. After all, reality and the novel characters are different." Ethan thought about the pros and cons of his earlier decision and decided not to do anything shabby.

He doesn't want to do bold things like with risk comes the greater reward or something similar a MC does in a novel. These MCs have nothing to fear. After all, their destinies were pre written by the authors. Even a clumsy person in the novel could become the dominator of the firmament.

He is not a MC designed by a novel author. He is him and he had to fight his destiny all by himself. He had no other choice. He is pretty vulnerable. So he don't want to take risk by entering that Golden Immoral Mountain.
