Spirit Power

Ethan took a deep breath. He felt helpless about exploring the Spirit God's resting place. After all, he just entered the world of cultivation. He don't want to take any risk without accumulating enough strength. So he temporarily gave up on the thought to explore the Golden Immortal Mountain.

He ate his food. Even though he didn't make any major improvements in the Spirit related attribute, he was still feeling a little improvement. So he asked Assane, "Can you give me the seeds to grow these vegetables? I don't want much. I just want to grow vegetables in my garden so that I can eat these vegetables everyday."

"Sure." ,Assane had no problem. So he immediately accepted. But he still asked, "Well, why would you bother to grow the vegetables? You can come here everyday and eat. We don't mind."

Ethan shook his head and said, "I don't think that is possible. I still don't know how could a cultivator like me still enter the village. And I don't know whether there will be a second time. So I want to make the most out of it."

Assane nodded his head. He understood Ethan's logic and felt that he made sense. He don't know anything about the cultivators as he and other villagers never set their foot outside from the village. But after learning that the ancient story which they felt was nothing but a myth turns out to be true, he felt that Ethan made sense.

Very soon, Tilly brought seeds for some of the vegetables and gave it to Ethan. Ethan thanked Tilly. Tilly gave a cheerful smile.

"Well, I don't know whether I should be asking this. But where is Tilly's mother?" ,Ethan was curious from the start. Since he didn't see any female person other than Tilly, he wanted to ask. But since he felt it is inappropriate to ask about the others' personal matters, he didn't ask.

At the beginning, he felt that she might have gone outside. But it has been a while and yet she hasn't returned. So he was still curious and couldn't help hut ask.

Assane became a little sad. But he still said, "Her mother passed away after she gave birth to Tilly. So I gave Tilly the name of her mother."

"Oh, I am sorry!" ,Ethan said out of curtesy.

"It's alright. It's been a long t. So the memories faded with time." ,Assane said.

Ethan remained silent. After a while, they discussed some casual things. Then Ethan said his goodbyes and then left the village.

Ethan was walking towards the exit of the Blissful Village. Even though he was walking towards the exit to the village, his mind was still near the Golden Immortal Mountain.

For many times, he wanted to go there to take a look. But when he thought about his safety, he gave up on that idea. But the thought of going to the Golden Immortal Mountain was still lingering in his mind.

"I am just seeking my own death!" ,Even though he knew that going to the Golden Immortal Mountain was dangerous, he still decided to go anyway. He wanted to take a look and see whether he could find anything interesting there.

The Spirit God was resting there. So he would naturally go there. He had a feeling that if he misses this opportunity, then he will regret it for his entire life. He wanted to go there after he became strong enough to handle such a pressure. But he doesn't know whether he could enter the village again or not. So he wanted to make the most out of this chance. So after making up his mind, Ethan walked towards the Golden Immortal Mountain.

As he was walking towards the Golden Immortal Mountain, he could finally see the true beauty of this mountain. From far away, he could see that the mountain was Golden in colour. But as he walked towards the mountain, he found that this mountain is a treasure trove for doctors like him. There were many medicinal plants and fruits which has the age of over million years.

Ethan took a deep breath. The greed took over his head for a moment. These medicinal herbs aged over millions of years. They are very precious. In the Mortal World, especially in the Grace Continent, the rarest medical herbs were not more than 500 years. Even in other big continents, the rarest herb is not higher than 50000 years.

And now he is finding the herb rarity with over a million years! How could he not feel greed? He almost had the urge to go and snatch those herbs away. But he came back to his senses. He read many cultivation novels. His reading experience told him that greed always kills people. Moreover, he also understood from reading novels that, higher the rarity of the treasure, higher the higher the danger levels will be. And with his cultivation base, he highly doubts the chances of his survival. He is already taking risk by coming here with his current strength.

By suppressing his greed, he set his foot on the starting point of the Golden Immortal Mountain. But just as he set his foot on the edge of the mountain, a golden light came out from the mountain. This golden light didn't attack him physically. It attacked him mentally.

Ethan held his head in intense pain. His Spirit was very high. And yet he couldn't bear the pain. He immediately took his foot back. As soon as he took off his foot from the mountain, the mental attack wore off.

Cough! Cough!

Later he coughed out a mouthful of blood. But he wasn't seriously hurt. So he was alright. But after getting himself together, he looked at the mountain angrily. He just wanted to give it a try. But now after suffering for the second time, he was determined to solve the mystery of this damn mountain.

"You want to play with my mind? Then I will see how long you will stay this arrogant!" ,The continuous mental attack pissed him off completely.

"System! Add all the Golden Points on my Spirit Attribute!" ,Ethan commanded the System.
