An Unknown Injury

Ethan felt fortunate. If it was someone else in his place, then it was guaranteed that that person will perish. Even he with upgraded strength Attribute suffered some damage. If it wasn't for the upgraded strength attribute, he was a goner for sure. He was once again thankful towards the System for its help.

Ethan composed himself quickly and got up. Even with his upgraded Strength Attribute, he was no match for that monster. Its strength is a little higher than Ethan's current Strength Attribute.

But Ethan was not discouraged. He stood up and wiped the blood he lost from his mouth. He looked at the monster with a serious gaze. He was surprised by the monster's speed. That's all. That monster's speed was a little higher than his own. And he was inexperienced against that kind of speed. That's all.

Ethan felt that this kind of speed is manageable. The only thing he should do is to understand that monster's speed and build the ability to counter it. If he can do that, then things will be good.

The monster crouched and jumped on Ethan in rage. Ethan learned his lesson with its last attack. He immediately evaded and moved backward as quickly as he can. Meanwhile, the monster punched him only to hit the empty air. Ethan managed to evade this time successfully.

But the aftermath of that missed attack still released quite a pressure. Ethan was sure that if that attack landed on his body, then he would have suffered serious damage.

The monster was surprised for a moment. In its view, it knew that Ethan was not that strong. He was in fact weaker than it. And yet, he managed to evade that attack. It kind of understood that Ethan's physical body strength and agility are extremely high for his current cultivation base.

Ethan always remained patient even against Kurt and Umang back on earth. He endured patiently against their harassments. He knew better than anyone else how to be patient during this kind of helpless situation.

He depended on his superior physical body attributes and disappeared from its sight. The next moment he appeared, he was behind that monster. The giant monster was surprised. But it was not like those made 26 monsters. Its intuition was a little bit higher than those naive monsters.

But since it is living only on that mountain since its birth, it doesn't have any battle experience. So before even it could decide its next action, Ethan reappeared behind it. He was well prepared. He used his sword and chopped its neck cleanly.

Ethan was inexperienced in the battle for sure. But he still has very little insight thanks to the movies and anime he used to watch. So he could show at least some alertness.

But that giant monster was different. It might have transcended a major realm. But this was its first ever battle. After all, this Golden Immortal Mountain was still its world. It never left this mountain.

So it never fought against anyone before. Whatever fight it put up with Ethan was all thanks to the advantage it had with its cultivation base.

So when Ethan chopped that monster's head, it was not alert. Its head was separated from its neck. That monster died in Ethan's hands finally.

Ethan was happy. Killing other living creatures stronger than him will award him with experience points saving the trouble to use the Skill Points and Attribute Points. But it doesn't matter. As long as he could become strong, any method is okay for him.

After calming down from the excitement of breakthrough, Ethan looked at his situation. Right now he was in a complete mess. He might be looking fine. But he knew that the internal injuries were severe.

He sighed. He used the System Currency and purchased a basic healing potion from his System Marketplace. He consumed that potion without any delay. Very soon he felt some relief as he managed to heal his injuries.

But he still felt uneasy deep down. Even though his injuries were healed, he felt some indescribable part of his body was still under injured state. He doesn't know what exactly that is.

"System! I feel that I am not completely recovered. Is it just my imagination? Or am I injured somewhere that I don't know?",Ethan decided to ask System instead of scratching his head for answers on his own. After all, he is not some scholar who could make sense regarding the cultivation world.
