A Terrifying Giant Monster

Even though the System notification popped up in his vision, Ethan didn't have time to care about any of it. The loud roar was not only terrifying, but it gave Ethan a bad feeling.

Ethan immediately tried a hiding spot to keep himself safe. He always gives top priority to his own safety first. Only then he will bother about the mess he is in.

Then he found a dense bush. This bush is much denser and was covered by a bunch of trees. Ethan immediately rushed towards those bushes. He was not sure whether his decision is good or bad. But he was in a rush. And he was making a quick decision based on the urgency of the situation.

ROOAAARRR!!!

But just as he was close to hiding, he heard a loud roar. Ethan was baffled. He knew that the monster was far from him judging from the intensity of it's previous roar. He had time to hide in the bushes.

So it should take some time for that monster to reach his location. But it somehow reached his spot in no time. He wanted to take a look at this monster with high agility.

But when he turned back and took a look at the monster, he opened his mouth widely in shock. The earlier monsters he faced were around his height. But this monster was simply too huge. Ethan could tell that this monster easily have height around 15 feet!

But the thing that confused him the most is that, this monster has a height of 15m. And it might have moved very quickly to reach his location in a flash. Then how could he didn't hear that monster's movement speed.

Ethan didn't take long to come to a conclusion though. With the height this monster possessed, it would naturally attract the attention from the surrounding people if existed. But Ethan didn't even feel it's movement speed at all. Unless this monster had high stealth like ability, it was not possible for it not to alert his senses.

Ethan became even more cautious this time. He was scared shit when he was facing those 26 weak monsters. Even with the sneak attacks, he was nervous to the extreme. Even when he faced those 6 final monsters, he was still cautious. All he did was use the psychological warfare to fight them.

But most importantly, Ethan depended mostly on his high speed and agility thanks to his System upgrade. The fact of his upgraded agility was his source of confidence against those 26 monsters.

He planned every single action he took before facing those 26 monsters. He even planned the psychological gameplay he put up now. Despite all this, his victory was not easy. And most of his plan worked because of his high speed and agility.

But now this 15 feet monster came out of nowhere. Judging from the pressure it is releasing, it was not only strong, but it was also fast. It can also conceal it's presence which is troublesome for an amateur combat master like him.

Ethan tightened his grip on the sword in his hand. He focused his attention completely on this giant monster. He didn't know when this monster will attack him. So it's better to be cautious than sorry.

But the pressure coming from this monster is really terrifying. He had never sensed such pressure from anyone since his arrival in the Mortal World. He asked, "System! What is the cultivation base of this monster?"

Ethan was cursing in his heart. But he was looking at the monster cautiously at the same time. He doesn't want to take his eyes off the monster named Modigere even for a split second.

But the monster's attention was entirely somewhere else. It was looking at some other place. Ethan subconsciously looked at the direction that giant monster was looking at.

"Shit! I am screwed this time." ,Ethan cursed within his mind. Because the direction where the monster was looking at was in the direction where the last six monsters had fallen.

Suddenly Ethan felt as if he was under some pressure. Thanks to his strong and upgraded spirit, he could still stand with minimised monster's pressure. If it was an ordinary cultivator with similar cultivation base as his own, then that person's legs might give up j on the spot.

Phew!

On earth he read in the cultivation novels that if a person had to face an opponent whose cultivation base is wide in terms of cultivation realms, then the one with the weak cultivation base will be easily dealt with. Of course, it is a different case if that weak cultivator is the MC of the novel.

But Ethan himself is different. He might be like an MC in the novels who was transported in the cultivation world somehow, but he was sure that he doesn't have the same courage as those MCs in the cultivation novels. The monster once again gave a loud roar which jolted Ethan. He immediately came to a conclusion that this giant monster might be parent of all those 26 monsters. And seeing it's children death bodies, it became enraged. Since Ethan was near to it's children dead bodies, it came to a conclusion that Ethan was the one who killed them. And now it has decided to avenge it's children death.

As Ethan looked at the giant monster, that monster suddenly disappeared. Before Ethan could even make sense of what exactly is happening, it reappeared right in front of him.

Ethan was shocked. Before he could prepare himself for the battle, the giant monster attacked him with it's claw on his chest.

Ethan flew back and clashed against a giant bamboo tree. Blood gushed out from his mouth and spread across the land near him.

Ethan was shocked. This was the first injury he had suffered. Back on earth, he was a civilian. So his lifestyle was different. He would never involve in any of this kind of things where he had to suffer physical injuries.

Even when his classmates harassed him, he would sustain minor pain where blood never come out of his body.

But now blood rushed out of his body. This was the biggest injury he suffered. This battle is very tough.
