Spiritual Key Talisman

Ethan was wandering on the Golden Immortal Mountain. It's been another two days since he resumed his search after exiting the Spirit Pool. But he couldn't find any traces about the Spirit God's inheritance.

After two days of search, he still couldn't find any clues and was wandering aimlessly. He lost his sense of direction. Even back on earth, his navigation and direction skills were a complete mess. This was one of the reasons why Shirley called him a Fool. And she would always tease him that way.

"Where the hell is the Spirit God's inheritance?", Ethan started to doubt the existence of any inheritance to begin with. Spirit God protected the blissful Village and never wanted any cultivator to set their foot on the village soil. So why would he prepare any legacy to be passed on? It is ridiculous.

He started to doubt the existence of the Spirit God's inheritance. But he cast that idea aside. After all, the existence of the Spirit God's inheritance was personally verified by the System. Even though he doesn't know how could his System could tell for certain that there exists the Spirit God's inheritance, he is sure that the inheritance does exist. He trusts his System too much.

Just like that, he came to a familiar location. When Ethan looked at the location, he wanted to wrack his brain. Because the place where he is right now was the one where he killed that giant monster.

As he was cursing that giant monster, Ethan noticed something. He saw that there is something in that monster's hands.

"Why didn't I notice anything in its hands when I was taking its Monster Core?",Ethan asked himself. Previously when he was extracting the Monster Core, he searched for any valuable things which he could find. But he didn't find anything in that monster's hands. He was pretty sure about it. Then how come he found something in that monster's hands?

With the doubt in his mind, Ethan walked slowly and first made sure that there were no traps. He double confirmed it with the System's help as well.

After making sure that there were no traps, Ethan felt confident and picked up the thing which was in the giant monster's hands.

That item was an ancient-looking piece of paper. There was nothing peculiar about it. He didn't know why this monster had this piece of paper in its hands while dying. But he was sure that he didn't see it back when he killed it. And he suddenly found it in its hands.

"System! Please inspect it.",Ethan couldn't identify what that paper is. So he asked the System to inspect it.

"So that's how it is.", Ethan smiled. He understood why he couldn't find the Spirit God's Inheritance even after searching for it throughout the entire mountain. It is stored in an array. And the key to opening this array is this Talisman.

"No wonder why it held this Talisman in its hands even when it was dying.", Ethan concluded.

What's there to wait? He immediately crunched the Talisman in his hands. As soon as his grip was tightened, he saw Talisman in his hands start to glow with silver color radiance.

BOOM!!!

Ethan heard a loud explosion. Very soon the ground started to shake which baffled him. And the next scene stunned him. Because everything in his vision started to glow with silver radiance. It almost blinded him. He subconsciously placed his hands in front of his eyes trying to block the rays of blinding silver light.

And then after around 10 seconds, Ethan sensed with his closed eyes that the blinding effect from the silver light started to dim down. He slowly opened his eyes in both fear and anxiety.

And what he found stunned him a lot. He saw that the silver light started to fade away. And the spots where the silver light faded, he saw a giant majestic spot of a building.

But when the silver light faded completely, he realized that he was wrong. The image in his eyes was not a building. But it was a giant palace. This palace was huge and majestic. And he couldn't even see any end to it.

"What a waste?",Ethan shook his head and thought, "Is there any need to create such a giant building for his graveyard? Who would live here? What a waste of resources."

Ethan was from earth. And he psychologically believed that a person needs to have a small house for living. There is no need for a giant mansion for just a single person. He believed that if a person has one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen, and one bathroom was enough. There is no need to create such a ruckus.

All this is for the person who lives alone. And this Spirit God is someone who actually died. Is there a need to create such a giant mansion?

Ethan shook his head. With this biased thought, he slowly walked towards the entrance to the mansion.
