Inquiring About The Temporal Spirit World

"Yes. Someone saved you. Or else, I wouldn't have held back from killing you.", Spirit God replied.

Ethan's mind was a complete mess. Did someone help me? But who? I don't have any friends here. And even if it has, none of them would be as strong as the Spirit God himself.

So who could be strong enough to save him from the Spirit God's attacks?

That's not the problem. The problem is that whoever protected him should at least be as strong as the Spirit God. Or else, it would be impossible for them to save him from the attacks of as strong as Spirit God.

"May I know who saved me?", Ethan chose his words carefully and asked.

Spirit God smiled and replied, "It was actually Mother Nature!"

"Eh?", Ethan was stunned at the beginning. But then he remembered that he had the Nature's Blessing. So the Mother Nature could also protect him if it wants to.

But the question is, why would Mother Nature protect an insignificant person like me? I am just an Elementary Stage cultivator. So why would she save me?

Is she keeping an eye on me? If that is the case, then why? In the beginning, she gave me the Nature's Blessing. And now she is keeping an eye on me?

Ethan clenched his fists in anger. Anybody will hate when someone is stalking them. Ethan was not any different to it. Privacy is something Ethan always respects. And just now he learned that the Mother Nature is always keeping an eye on him. He hated this feeling.

At the same time, he started to wonder why would Mother Nature put an insignificant Elementary Stage Expert in her eyes? What would she gain from any of it?

Could it be, my transportation to this world has something to do with the Mother Nature?

When this thought came to his mind, Ethan couldn't help but feel nervous. If his transportation has something to do with the Mother Nature, then he had to do something for her in return. While putting her status and power in mind, Ethan could understand that this so-called "work" which he needs to do for her will not be a child's game.

Spirit God looked at Ethan's worried face and seemed to understand what was going through his mind. He shook his head in amusement and said, "Don't be nervous. She means no harm to you. Nobody cares about nature these days. And she is upset over it. If you have Nature's Blessing, then you might have done some meritorious deed towards nature that attracted her attention. So you have received her blessing. Whenever you are in danger, some part of her blessing will be used to protect you. And once all her blessing power wears off, you will no longer be protected by her."

Ethan heard it and felt a sense of relief. If what Spirit God said is true, then his transportation has nothing to do with Mother Nature. And he owes her nothing in the future. This means he can concentrate on his cultivation without worry.

After taking a huge breath of relief, he looked at Spirit God and asked"Senior, did I pass the test"

"Yes. You have passed the test.", Spirit God replied with a smile, "But honestly, you were the first person who dared to attempt to win my treasure. And I never thought that you would be the last one as well. I am very happy for you."

Ethan was relaxed a bit. His journey this far was not easy. He knew that he was attempting a System issued V-Rank mission. And in the process, he almost lost his life multiple times. And his risk has finally paid off. He is one step away from completing the mission. And he was eagerly waiting for the rewards he will get from the System.

Then something came to his mind. He looked at the Spirit God and asked, "Then… will I get your cultivation technique as well?"

Even though he asked it, he was nervous. Cultivation techniques have always been a secret for either a person or their organization. Only core and trusted people will receive their core cultivation techniques. And Ethan asked directly in the face of someone like the Spirit God. So he was nervous and was wondering whether his request made the Spirit God angry.

But against his worries, Spirit God simply smiled and said, "My cultivation technique is also part of the treasure. So there is no need for you to worry."

Ethan calmed down. Since the Spirit God himself said it, he was no longer nervous. Since he could train in a Spirit Cultivation Technique which Spirit God trained since all his life, he had no doubt in its quality.

But to complete the mission, he need another thing which the System informed him. He asked the Spirit God with a nervous tone again, "Then, can I also get the Temporal Spirit World?"

As soon as he hears it, Spirit God's face becomes serious. Ethan became nervous again. He was nervous to think whether the Spirit God will change his decision and won't give him his inheritance to Ethan.

While he was in his thoughts, Spirit God asked, "How do you know about the Temporal Spirit World?"

Ethan long prepared a story for this question. He replied unhurriedly, "I accidentally came across ancient ruins. There I found an old diary of some senior. In that diary, I read about you, senior. And I read that you have something called the Temporal Spirit World which was desired by many powerful masters. But I was in doubt and asked you. But I never thought that senior truly has the Temporal Spirit World."

He then asked with hope and fear, "I hope that senior would give me the Temporal Spirit World."

"I refuse.", Spirit God said without even considering anything. He said, "Temporal Spirit World is not something you have to worry about. You are not strong enough to handle that heavenly artifact. Too many people are after it. If they find it in your hands, you will die."

Ethan was not ready to give up. He said, "I apologize in advance, Senior. I may sound rude. But we should speak some facts. You have already passed away. What is in front of me might be some kind of your projection or will or remnant spirit. So the value of the Temporal Spirit World has no value for you. I think it's time for the future generations to take care of everything."

He continued, "This might sound rude. But this is the fact. You can kill me now and silence me. But what I have said is the fact. And I think deep down you know it as well. So I hope you understand me without getting angered and pass the Temporal Spirit World to me."
