Adrianne took a deep sigh, hearing the noise coming from the first floor of the house. Her eyes quickly looked around and saw that only a few were sleeping in their room.
She stood up from lying down on the mattress. Wearing her black slippers, Adrianne peeked down from the stairs. Finding out about two people talking.
"When will Ms. Olivia pick us up here?" A man's voice echeod near the stairs.
"She didn't say when would she return."
"We don't have any more food here. The rice in the container has run out." Adrianne heard what the man was saying.
Hmm, it looks like if they will not find another way then the childrens would all starve from the lack of food that they were currently facing on.
"We'll go out again to look for food. It's up to you to take care of the children."
"Be careful." A woman's voice said.
Ardrianne saw the group of men led by Patrick coming out of the house. They have been in the forest for three days already, but they were still not being picked up to be returned to Quirenne.
The stored foods ran out yesterday so they had trouble figuring out how to fill those up. They do not know where to get the rice substitute. If they only had the ingredients to make bread then it would be easier.
"Abigail?"
Adrianne's body turned behind. She was quite surprised as she saw Mady standing and looking at her direction with a blank face.
"Do you think we can still go home?" Mady unexpectedly asked her.
Going home? In the world of people and modernization? She wasn't sure what the vampires are up against them. She wasn't sure what's their purpose, coming here.
Those Vampires wanted to train the children, but then, they did not even hesitate to throw them into the forest despite knowing how dangerous it can be.They were not afraid even if the kids will be reduced.
Mady noticed that she was hesitant to answer. But Adrianne can't answer the question. She doesn't want to give false hope.
"Abigail, you know magic, don't you? Can you teach me how?" Adrianne's face went blank after hearing what the girl had uttered. She stared at the child intently.
"I feel like you know a lot about this world, Abigail. Maybe... your parents taught you about vampires and magic too."
"Give me your hand."
Mady followed what she had said. The girl laid her hand on top of Adrianne's.
Adrianne felt the energy insife the child's body. "The magic energy flowing through you was too weak. Even if I teach you more, nothing will happen. You need to strengthen it first." She said, looking deeply at Mady's eyes.
"In that case, teach me how to be strong." Mady shouted caughting the attention of other kids near them.
"Me too!!!"
Ariadne was surprised at the appearance of the children. She did not notice them. They looked at her as if begging. Their eyes filled with joy and excitment. "Please, Abigail! Pleaaaase?"
Adrianne watched the children as they continously begged at her. She sighed. Nothing will be lost if she agrees, right?

When Patrick's group returned from collecting their food, they were surprised at the scene they saw right before their eyes.
The children left in the house were now sitting on the lawn with their eyes closed. Because they were carrying a lot, they decided to first enter the of the house to unload the food for later.
In the kitchen were three women dedicated to cooking— Loree, Elisha and Florence. They gave them something to drink and then examined the ingredients if it was already enough and if it was safe for the kids.
"Patrick, you're back," Florence greeted with a smile lingering on her face.
"What were they doing outside?" Patrick curiously asked as he went to grab the glass of blood on the table.
"Ohh, Abigail was teaching them how to get energy." Shrugging her shoulders, Florence answered.
"Energy?"
"Yes, energy to use magic. Abigail was really a weird kid." The woman stated as she looked over the window, seeing Abigail together with the other kids.
"When did Abigail learn that?"
"She said she read the books placed on the shelves. I'm reading it as well, here you can read it too." Florence handed Patrick an old looking book.
Patrick looked at the book and opened it. He couldn't help but to think about Abigail's actions that were strange. Her knowledge about the world of Quirenne was too vast and wide. And tbe kid's eyes seem to have many hidden secrets.
"Hmm, can the kids like that even without spices?" The woman whose hair was brown asked. She was standing near the table, preparing some ingredients.
"It was really a problem because we've run out of salt." Loreen added in.
"But we have to eat even without too much flavor. We don't know when we'll be able to go back to school." Florence answered as she walked over to go near the other two woman.
"If the childrens do not eat, they will become weak and probably be sick." Patrick stated, hearing the three woman's problem.
"Do you need spices? I know where to get them," a soft voice suddenly whispered.
