"Abigail… wake up. You said that we should wake you up when the food was already here." Mady nervously moistened her dry lips. Her expression stretched into a mask of terror while trying to wake up the sleeping girl.
Adrianne felt a hand, gently tapping on her right arm as if it was scared to do anything further. Waking up, her brows formed in one straight line. She ignored the voice calling her as she rolled over.
She wants to go back to her dreams. Adrianne's mind was filled with questions. With how can the girl possibly look like her. The woman's voice, her situation, and especially the name the man had stated.
"Abigail, please wake up," Mady's voice pleaded. She ran her fingers through her hair with shaking hands. With her heart racing, Mady took a deep breath. She placed both of her hands on Abigail's shoulder.
Adrianne felt a hand, shaking her body. Groaning in annoyance, she opened her eyes abruptly. Her hands went to her shoulders to stop the person in front, from shaking her.
"What was your problem, Mady?" Her tone filled with irritation scared the young woman.
Mady couldn't look closely at Adrianne. The kid's eyes were reflecting fiery in them. The darkness that it holds would make her dread. It was one of the scariest things she had seen in her entire life.
Adrianne noticed how Mady got uneasy at her question. Rolling her eyes, "I'm sorry, I was just really sleepy." She uttered in a calm manner. She didn't want to cause any distance between her and her roommates. Adrianne still has something up her sleeves, and they're included in that plan.
Nodding her head, Mady silently walked away. It was such a great relief to her that Abigail was not mad or something. She was scared for nothing!!!
Shrugging her shoulders, Adrianne stood up from the bed. Both of her feet raced their way towards the dining table where their food was neatly stored in a steel tray. Her mouth watered when she saw a lot of food on top.
'What's the celebration for today?' She asked through herself when she noticed that the foods were suspiciously greater in size today. It was unusual for the school to give them this much food.
Opening the cover, Adrianne went on closer to the food on the table. Drawing in air through her nose to detect if there were any weird smell. Nodding her head, the food was safe to eat.
Aella noticed what the woman did. "What were you doing, Abigail?" She asked with curiosity lingering in her voice.
Adrianne shook her head to the side, chuckling loudly. "The food smelled delicious, so I took a sniff at it. Let's eat! I'm hungry already." Pouting her lip,s she uttered, making the two kids laugh in unison.
On the other hand, on the other side of the forest. Numerous Vampires gathered in front of the secret warehouse. They were the four guards who were tasked to guard the outside of the place where the children were being kept.
It was already the right time to move their captives to a new location. The ritual performance was near and it will be done for tomorrow's event.
"Pedro, wake up!"
The man grabbed someone by his shoulder when he noticed that Petro, the man he was calling to, was not breathing already. A long needle was buried in the man's neck, causing his senses to guarded up.
The unknown man's eyes widened as it alertly looked around the area. But before he could even possibly announced what happened to the other guard, an arrow struck his chest and it resulted to his death as well.
Two of the remaining guards heard the noise coming from the side of the warehouse. One of them prepared up the torches in both of his hands and was ready to attack the upcoming enemies.
"Show yourselves!" The man shouted while looking around the area, "You cowards!"
The ground vibrated. A sudden force from the floor pierced through the two men. The wind blew coldly as both of the men found themselves being swallowed by a huge tower of soil. After a few seconds, the ground stopped shaking. The hole that was created was closed as if nothing had happened. Four bodies were quickly buried underneath in less than no time.
Inside the warehouse, children ranging from five to ten years old gathered in the middle. Their bodies were weak and were full of bruises. The guards from earlier did not bother to seize them up.
Although their hands and feet were both free, and they could walk freely. They neither can escape nor shout, due to fear the four ruthless men had inflicted.
A sudden sound echoed through the whole place. One of the windows above the warehouse scattered into tiny glass pieces. It had caused the children inside to cry and panic.
But then someone from the outside threw a bottle containing a green liquid, inside. When the glass bottle shattered on the floor. The green liquid suddenly turned into smoke. And as the white smoke filled up the whole place, the kids, one by one, fainted.
