RUNNING AWAY

Without any choice, the children followed Adrianne. They quickly jumped out of the window and avoided looking at those who were left behind. The kids don't know what will happen to them. Their heart was filled with fear.

As if the time slows as the weight of what was happening to them slowly sink in. Some of them who were still awake can't help but cry. They're trapped in a hopeless situation.

The children hurriedly ran into the forest. They were so focused on what they were doing that they did not notice the pair of red eyes watching from the palace.

"The children ran away," One of the teachers said calmly. A smile suddenly went up to his lips as he watches the kids rushing to get away from the place.

Mr. Olivares looked at the red moon standing proudly in the sky. He, Mrs. Belva, and the other teachers were waiting on the arrival of the exact time for the ritual that they will be doing.

"They're still Vampires even though some of them were half-bloods. Let's give them a chance to escape," Bueno Simon suggested as an unknown expression flashed through his eyes.

Davis chuckled after hearing the man's words. He knows exactly what Simon was thinking. He knew that Simon loves to enter the forest, especially to capture the Uldins.

"Will Bueno Hades go here?" Greg asked as he sat on one of the chairs in the room they were staying in.

"Looks like he can't catch up because of the Driners," Mrs. Belva replied.

"Should we start?" Headmaster Soryn asked after listening to all the vampires inside the room.

The Vampires looked at each other in unison. They nodded as a smile slowly rose upon their lips.

"Let's start" Bueno Simon announced.

"Abigail, just a moment," Mady uttered as her feet halted. "I can no longer run. I'm already tired." The girl said. Mady tightens her grip on the tree, slowly catching her breath.

Their group stopped running at what Mady had said. The kids, for a moment, lowered the children from their backs. Placing them on the ground to rest even for a while.

Adrianne disapprovingly looked at all of the children. Shaking her head, "We can't stop or else they'll catch up with us!" She said emphatically to her companions.

Adrianne's gaze went to Mady, who was now sitting beside a tree. "Leave the person on your back. Leave everything you have."

Mady was startled at what her friend said. She shook her head as a pool of tears starts to swell up her eyes. "It is not possible. We have left a lot... I-I don't want to leave my things behind… You know that this was important to me, Abigail." Her voice cracked, Unable to make eye contact with Abigail.

The kid's eyes were red as they prevented themselves to cry again. They were confused by what was happening. Yesterday everything was fine. They were happy… They were having fun. But look at them now.

They have not been in this world for too long and yet, here they are. In a situation where they didn't know the reason at all. They were in the middle of the forest. Away from the palace that they were staying in, earlier.

Adrianne does not know what the Quirans want from them. She doesn't know how to get back into her world. Adrianne doesn't have any single idea about the modern world at her time. So it was impossible for her to know where's the portal to go back to that place. ]

She doesn't know if they can still be able to return in there. Adrianne doesn't have any idea what happened to those kids that they left on the way. They have no choice but to do it if they want to save themselves.

Adrianne sighed. She had no other choice but to let the kids rest for a while. "5 minutes of resting before we continue."

The children breathe a sigh of relief after hearing what Abigail announced. They all tiredly sat on the grass. Not bothering even if their clothes will be dirty. They took this opportunity to breathe.

Earlier they were running away from the mansion so quickly that their chest almost ran out of air.

"Abigail, where are we going?" asked a boy amongst the children.

"Right now we need to get away from them, first. After that, we have to ask for help." Adrianne stated the plan going in her head. They don't have a choice but to seek help as their bodies were already tired, same with her.

"But to whom are we going to ask for help?"

"Intasia have three kingdoms. We are not safe in Quirrene so maybe we can ask from the kingdom of Phira or Leonore." Adrianne answered with eagerness in her voice.

She won't let something bad happen to her and to the other kids.
