With Adrianne's blurry vision, she looked at the man who was saying something to her. Yet, Adrianne couldn't hear anything. All she could hear was a shrill sound echoing in her ears. She couldn't understand it at all. As if her senses seem to be not working anymore.
Behind the Old man that was still holding unto her tightly, she could see that there were two Vampires, going in Aella and Mady's direction. Adrianne saw how merciless those two were, gripping each of the girls by their clothes.
Just like Adrianne, the two other kids drifted into the air. They were forced to be afloat because of the Vampires carrying them as if they were something useless.
She chuckled silently, so this was the reason for their coming back to Quirenne. If she only knows that they will be up to no good, she could have stayed in the modern world until she's at the right age.
What can she do? She was only a ten-year-old girl. A body of hers can't do a lot more than those Vampire surrounding her. Yes, she was powerful, but with the lack of maturity the body of Abigail has, it's impossible for her to gather a lot more energy to regain her former abilities back.
Adrianne, even though tired, wiggled her own body. She leaned over on one side, repeating the said actions. But the one holding her didn't even flinch at what she was doing.
The old man didn't release her. Rather, he turned over to the two Vampires and to Adrianne what the two other men were doing with the other two children.
The man grabbed Aella by her neck as he lifted the girl to the ground. The Vampires opened their mouths, revealing the two pointed teeth on each side, called fangs.
Moving towards the girl, Adrianne saw how Aella's body glowed up. A blinding light came out of the girl, forcing Adrianne to turn away as her eyes couldn't take the brightness anymore.
Though her body was weak and fragile, Adrianne forcefully moved against the person who was holding her. She struck and trampled the old man, expecting that he would let go of his grip but it didn't happen.
Adrianne opened her mouth to scream. But her throat couldn't produce any sound at all. All she could hear was the loudness of joy between the peals of laughter of the three men. Burning her with so much anger.
The Vampires made her watch as the light gradually disappeared from the body of Aella. Aella's hair suddenly turned white. It was different from the silky black hair, the girl used to have.
Aella's former young body suddenly turned pale. Adrianne can see how the body turned old, wrinkled, and dry. The girl's body fell to the ground, lifeless.
The two Vampires in front of her were full of joy and gratitude as they gazed at the red moon. The other man barked out of laughter as he did the same exact thing to Mady.
The Old man holding Adrianne took a step, walking closer to the two others who were now saying their gratitudes to the red moon. Adrianne was thankful as the man released her. She fell on the ground, creating a loud sound that made the three men happy.
Adrianne didn't notice the pain in her body. She could not take her eyes off from the two children she had spent her time with, in her whole stay in this place. In just a few seconds, they were already gone.
In front of her were the miserable bodies of both Aella and Mady, lying dead on the ground. Adrianne couldn't help but blame herself for what happened. She let the two girls die in front of her.
She didn't do anything to save her friends. Adrianne admits to herself that even in just a short period of time. Mady and Aella had filled up the loneliest part of her heart. She wanted to protect them, but this happened.
At the first time of her new life, she felt grief. Sadness welled up her heart. It was a new feeling, yet Adrianne drew in quickly.
The Vampire grabbed her by her hair, lifting her once again. The old gave him a wide smile as he looked carefully at Adrianne's face. As if the man was very happy to see her in this state. To see her suffering from what they were doing.
The man opened his mouth, leaning forward towards the girl. Adrianne can feel a pang of pain right on her neck. And as it became unbearable, her feet start to numb. Not allowing her to move even just for a little bit.
