Chapter 169

Diana's P. O. V

Before I could run away from him and call for help, he stood up to leave. Puzzling me, if he knew all about me now, then why didn't he just take me to the people he's involved with. He gave me a weak smile, and walked out of my house, muttering profanities under his breath.

Once he left, my hands quickly dialled West's number to call him over, the phone rang once. But I hesitated, and just hung up.

West did not need me to overly involve him in my crisis, so there was no point in doing that. The least I could do for him is just leave him alone.

After dinner, I stayed in my room, trying to study, but nothing was getting in. It was like I kept on reading the same page over and over again, and couldn't understand a line of what it meant.

My phone vibrated, I took it out from under my books to check who it was. A text from Makela popped up.
