Diana's P. O. V

West leaned in closer to give me a goodbye kiss, he had finally agreed to let me go home by myself tonight. I let him kiss my cheek instead of my lip, feeling guilty for wanting some space.

I hailed a cab, and disappeared into it, avoiding West's pricking gaze. He could really kill with the kind of looks he sent someone.

The cab driver was nice enough to drive quickly, going a bit over the speed limit once I told him that I needed to get home in a flash.

Mom was used to my late coming, we both seemed to not have enough time to spend together. She was always working during the day, and I worked in the evening into the night.

Makela had started packing her stuff, she would be leaving in three days already. Days just rolled by pretty fast recently.

"Goodnight you two." Mom said, as finally finished breakfast and washed up. Mom was intentionally stalling, she really did just want to talk to me a little bit.
