He at once became angry,

The man flew at her with his palm stretched out wide, blue-coloured qi covered his palm, she immediately slipped sideways as he zoomed past her, he turned sharply and began to dash towards her, this time she stretched her sword forward and began to block his palm with her sword.

His hands were engulfed in Qi which gave it the protection it needed. Qi was an essential form of energy different from the concept of neigong.

Neigong was the flow of internal energy, you needed neigong to be able to learn a martial art, neigong created awareness in the body, and this awareness was what accommodates the art itself, this was why there exist people who were not qualified to learn a martial art. Because didn't have enough neigong and maybe not enough to learn a particular type. Neigong can be trained to increase its quantity and can be increased by taking pills. Whereas they existed people that are naturally born with a massive amount of neigong.

Having training neigong to a certain amount makes it able to sharpen Qi, while some may use Qi as a defensive tool, some use it as an offensive tool, and few masters like the man standing before lady Hua knew how to balance in between the two; they were the hardest to deal with.

The sound that came out from a palm clashing with a sword was like two swords clashing together.

If the Emperor does end up rescuing her he would lose more than half of his power. Because he went out when he was supposed to be doing his imperial duties, he might even have to abdicate, but there was no heir. So he would lose his power and become a weaker Emperor, maybe even a scarecrow.

She pointed her sword to the sky.
