Pizza Monster

I nodded.  "I know, Simon.  Have they treated you well?"

"Oh sure!  I get as much pizza as I wanna eat, and I can stay up as late as I want, sleep as much as I like."  He threw out his hands with joy.  "Nobody cares!"

His eyes grew large.  "That's the weirdest thing.  Is this how adults are allowed to act?"

I laughed.  "Welcome to adulthood.  As a child, people care for you and make sure you are doing the right things at the right times."

I looked at him more seriously.  "Once you're an adult, you are expected to know what's right and wrong, and to act accordingly."

He frowned.  "Yeah, but what if you still don't know what's right and wrong, even if you're an adult, and you make a mistake and do the wrong things?  Then what?"

"Then you affect all the people around you, and you cause misery to yourself and others," I sighed.
