"Okay so let's talk about the Demon Book."  Simon talked and chewed on his pizza at the same time.

"First, I'll tell you what it's NOT."

He poked a finger into the pizza and pulled out a mushroom.  "Yuck I hate mushrooms."

He leveled a gaze at me.  "The Demon Book is NOT a cook book.  It doesn't give you directions and recipes on what to do to conjure up a demon and it doesn't tell you how to interact with a demon."

I grabbed the plate of finger sandwiches from the tray and ate a finger of cheese and roast beef.  It was dry and tasteless but I had to eat something to swallow down the pill.

"That's all good and dandy but we're trying to figure out how to handle a demon-assisted weapon.  What's the use of this book if it has nothing to do with demons?"

"I didn't say it doesn't have anything to do with demons."
