Now that he had stated it, I began to wonder where all the monitors were located.  It couldn't be magikally placed since magik didn't work here.

It didn't matter though.  The humans had their own sort of marvelous ingenuities.

Simon was agog at the sheer amount of information that he'd been able to ferret out of Papa.

He had said as much to me that there were some things that the mages had done the hard way or in overkill mode or just plain idiotic.

I had not pressed him about the details, but I was sure we had to learn each others' ways or we would all go up in flames together.

Gabriel took me up to the stage area towards a bevy of cushioned chairs which were on some type of circular dais set atop the stage.

"Stay here while I take care of some details.  I will be back as soon as I can."

He was about to leave but turned back to give me one last direction.
