Back to the Tunnel

We laughed with understanding and rose into the pure light of the morning, as a perfect and balanced team with me at the forefront and my jet-pack twins behind me on either side.

The flight from Andalusia to the train tunnel took only a few hours.  We flew through the lower stratosphere, staying within the low air density to increase our speed.

The twins kept their protection bubble around us the entire time, maintaining breathable air and warmth so that I would not freeze my nose off, as I was the fulcrum of the group, pushing forward like an arrow head.

Even at that height, I could see the ravages that several Scourge winds had wrought on the environment.  It was heartbreaking.

There was a war on the humans, and it was fought, not directly at humanity.  The attacks were directed at the environment in which they lived, where they grew their food and drank the water.
