The Lack of Physical Bonding

As our team moved farther into the tunnel, I wondered out loud.  "Would we move through this tunnel faster if we got on the hoverboards and hovered through?"

The twins looked at each other.  For a moment, there was silence—and then they both bent over, laughing with hilarity.

"What!"  I protested, not sure why they were laughing, but fully aware that they were laughing at me.

"Oh, she's so precious," Connor said, trying to catch his breath.  "We wouldn't move any faster than this, Sweetie." 

He reached out and rubbed my head.  "The only benefit would be that you'd get a lift and wouldn't have to move your little legs so much."

"Why not?"  I asked.

"Because to move faster, we'd need the aid of strong winds.  Otherwise, it's just our own bodies powering the locomotion.
