'Staff'

"Once I have adequate information on our guy, I will send you their information, If you need anything like weapons, just text me and I will get it to you"

Joey's eyes flashed with a sinister light but he never made it obvious. Then he replied saying "Yes, I need a combat suit and Cold steel Machete and some baseless acidic poisoning", Joey threw the poisoning in to not make it seem obvious he was trying to rob him.

Stephenson was no fool as he laughed "Hahaha, I'm not someone you can just con kid, Cold Steel is a precious metal you would be a fool to think I would buy anything you tell me to, when you get the information on our guy then I will consider anything you might need. Until then just wait."

"I fight using Machete's so I will need a machete anyway," Joey said, then he left the Hospital.

Cold steel was one of the hardest compound materials in the world The production of Cold steel was very delicate. Apart from metal and ores on 9 skies, this was the hardest material on earth, it was procured under sub-zero temperature for decades.

It started with a mixture of different kinds of material and then it would be locked under sub-zero temperatures for decades. The blade itself was a conductor for many superpowers like cold, heat, light not to mention it was dense.

The quality of it would be measured in decades so it would correspond with the constant cold air pressing on the metal and how many years it has been procuring under sub-zero cold. It was like fine wine.

A 1dc Cold steel weapon would be equal to 1 decade, which would mean it would have been procured for a decade under sub-zero temperatures. 10dc Cold steel weapons were rare for cold steel and were the strongest and you could easily tell the age of a Cold weapon by the density.

This was the most he could hope for a 1dc cold weapon because getting weapons from 9 skies without being in the Sky Military was a dream.

Joey was disappointed because he never got a weapon, a cold steel weapon would help him with his training.

The time was early about 6 in the morning, Joey had reached the shop but Sina wasn't there. Joey took this time to practice his Martial Arts from his book.

After 30 minutes into his training he had to stop, the Illustrations he drew were something that he had a hard time understanding, even though he drew them. He was never a great drawer.

He would need to draw better.

Mimicking his stick men and trying to think back on the fight and the moves were applied time time-consuming, but he still got used to it. As for the power moves, He opted to leave those for later.

He didn't have a weapon and he couldn't scam Dr. Stephenson out of one, he was supposed to go to the Martial Center to collect the handle of the Axe which he planned to make full use of.

30mins later Sina came.

"Kid, are you a ghost. Why do you come here so early" Sina asked as she looked to the side of the shop and saw him training.

Joey just gave a wry smile, as he panted on his knees.

"Why are you practising Martial Arts? Are you gonna kill someone?" Sina asked with a confused expression.

Joey explained that he decided to take part in the Sky Academy tournament.

Sina's expression fell, now she had to find a new apprentice. She doubted that she would ever be able to find someone that would butcher as good as him, but there was no point in getting worried about it now.

"You can stay here and practice until you're ready to come in, just know that you have to carve six 13ft beasts before 1 o'clock. We have somewhere we need to go", After she said that she left and went inside the shop.

It did not take Joey long to remember that they were going to meet up with some sky warriors, he completely forgot.

"Dammit, I need to get the Axe handle," Joey thought.

Joey used the time he got to train and made his way to the Martial Center, this time he took a cab because in this instance time meant money he could make back when he butchered the 6 beasts and he needed all the time he could get.

At the Martial Center Joey quickly got out his contract which stated he was supposed to get the handle today.

He had to wait a few minutes for the Martial Center to call Michael. When Michael arrived he was notified and he went out to collect the handle.

"Joey, over here!" Just as Joey went outside to collect the handle of the Axe, Michael called him over.

He saw the lackey's that were with him yesterday behind him with shaky knees, their heads turned into the sky with beads of sweat racing down their faces.

"Joey, I wanted to apologize for yesterday, I wasn't myself," Michael said apologetically.

Joey never took him too seriously because he wasn't his friend in the first place; they weren't even acquaintances, so he never cared for any of it. Friends were something Joey couldn't afford to have, there were just more weaknesses and liabilities for him and his sister.

He was sure he never needed friends for what he planned to do.

Joey disregarded his apology and went straight for his new 'staff'. The staff was red and had pink floral patterns running along its surface. Joey held the staff and felt the weight that it had. He took it into his hands and the faces of the lackey's regained colour.

Feeling the full weight of the staff made Joey's Arms bulge and his veins expanded, the staff was around 4 inches wide and 2 metres tall.

Joey stood there a while trying his best to get adjusted to the weight, his whole body tensed the longer he held it.

He couldn't help but have respect for the man that swung this like it was something from a toy store.

"Joey, are you ok?" Michael asked, seeing the expression on his face.

Joey had to rest the staff on the ground. He was too weak to hold something this heavy as yet, "I'm fine, I'm gonna be on my way now."

Joey hauled the staff on the ground, making his way to a taxi when Michael called out to him.

"Joey! I challenge you to a fight whoever wins gets to keep that handle."
