Bad Breath.

"You mean my staff?" Joey corrected

Michael's face turned black as he finally realized what he was going to use the handle as, "Y-yes the staff".

"Why do I have to fight for what is mine?" Joey asked with a confused expression, he quickly shook his head and started hauling the staff to find a taxi.

"Naturally, I'm not saying that you fight for nothing, I will give you my shortswords if you win" Michael quickly asked, Joey simply clicked his tongue and kept moving his way.

Joey would not be easily lured out, as long as he did not agree everything would be fine.

"Does this guy think I am a fool?"Joey thought as he got a taxi with his staff sticking out of the window.

"Boss, why didn't you beat him up!"

"We could've just stolen it from him"

"Oh please, you buffoons couldn't even hold it without trembling"Michael scoffed inwardly. He looked at the car driving off into the distance with a hint of regret in his eyes, ignoring the plea from his lackeys he sighed.

"I didn't want you to die because of me, you didn't do anything but that bitch won't care. I'm sorry you got dragged into my messed up family." He said as he watched the car drive away.

"Boss, why do you look so sad?" One of the lackeys asked.

"Nothing, Now get me some coffee this time I don't want any excuses", As Michael spoke the person didn't delay and went to fetch the coffee. In the next second, he disappeared into the crowd.

Joey finally reached the back at the butcher shop and hauled his staff out of the taxi, he could only drop it at the side of the butcher shop and come and pick it up later.

"So you finally came back, let me change your bandages before you start. I don't want you blood sullying my meat, these are for the people we are going to meet today".

Joey went over to her and sat and made her wrap his fingers again, the feel of new bandages was akin to taking a bath in cool water after a hot day.

She tightened the bandages on his hand that took the smile off his face. Joey went over to his station and started his day. He knew carving up 6 beasts before 1 o'clock was not possible and doubted she meant it.

But the last time he doubted an adult's word he got kicked out with nowhere to go.

Joey changed his clothes and went to his station and didn't try to play the superhero he used the sharpest knife he could find. Sometimes working harder was not always better, He would train himself; he wasn't going to take advice from someone who kicked him out and his sickly sister.

He would always struggle and managed to carve three beasts; it was getting closer to 12:00 when Sina told him to stop.

"Well you didn't do terribly, stop doing what you're doing and let us get a move on, I don't like being late".

Joey got up from his station and went to change from his butchers uniform into his good clothes, meeting sky warriors was the same as kids going to Disney World.

Sina saw him going straight for his clothes and asked "Kid, aren't you gonna take a bath?"

Joey looked at her with a slightly confused look "Do I need to if I don't smell?", He asked the question with innocence but that didn't stop Sina from getting mad.

She grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and stripped him naked, Joey could feel himself get thrown across the room. The next place he found himself in a shower.

"It doesn't matter if you don't smell that just nasty!" Sina's voice echoed along the walls.

Joey never saw himself getting out of the bath without taking a bath, he could tell that she was adamant about him having a bath but he never saw it as something that he had to do. He always saw it as optional.

He would always try to tell her he was finished, but she would keep in there and tell him to go and bathe again. She had no filter and explained where he should bathe properly and tell what to turnover.

Joey finally went back at least 6 times before she finally opened the door.

"Open your mouth" She ordered. Joey was basically at her mercy, he always had a sneaking suspicion that Sina wasn't as simple as she seemed but being stronger than was something he never thought was possible.

Joey covered himself with his hands and opened his mouth, then she asked "When was the last time you brushed your teeth."

"Maybe a week ago? Sometimes I wash it out it water"

Sina opened his mouth and smelled it and had a perplexed look, "It really doesn't smell" she thought.

"God, is this your breath?" she rhetorically asked not wanting to take the loss, she put her hand over her mouth and exaggeratedly coughed, Joey really felt like his breath was really that bad, he didn't know how he smelt it but Sina's acting was too good.

He felt like scum, he only thought of it as common sense for someone to brush their teeth when it smelled because that meant it needs cleaning right? And if it never smelled he didn't need to brush it.

Right?

When Sina finally stopped coughing as she finally said "Go brush your teeth! as she kicked him back into the bathroom."

He brushed his teeth 3 times before Sina said it was 'bearable' and allowed him to leave the bathroom.

Joey was finally glad he was able to leave the bathroom, he changed back into his clothes.

Sina hit the bathroom and changed while she was in there.

She came and changed into a new set of clothes that looked like she was going to business, she wore long pants and her hair was in a bun, she only wore lipstick and her hand a wrist watch that made her look like a business woman.

She walked over to Joey, lectured him about hygiene, and told him that he should bathe before he started working. She threw a bandage on him and said "you should train and let your wounds heal.

Joey took the bandages and stuffed them in his pockets.
