"We're not done." the figure said. It's voice still smooth, unaffected by Sam's tantrums.

"I have nothing to say to you. Get out."

The figure did not move an inch. "Should I drag you out? Rip that mask and shove your face in the sink? Do you want me to go that far humiliating you? Out. Now."

"You have no authority to do that." the figure said. "Please sit down." it urged.

"No. You need to get out." Sam countered. The figure shake his head. He can imagine the face beneath the mask. Clicking his tongue in disgust. Sam is used to be scorned. No need for masks to hide it from him.

"Why do you think I showed you the footage of your friend killing the people you left behind?"

Sam froze. Taken aback by the sudden question. "Isn't...Isn't it-it to show me? He's my friend. And you wish to inform me of what he'd done. You probably want me to go with him again. Befriend him. Stop him from killing other candidates."

The figure sat motionless.
