“Thank you.” he said to her as he wiped the blood from his lips. “You’ve saved my life, I am forever indebted to you.”
“You’re welcome, now, how did you end up in this situation?” Diya asked him.
“I … I am the last of my kind. The ancient dragons.” he said to them.
“Huh!” Amalie shouted, “but dragons are myths.” she said to him.
“Contrary,” Diya said, “they actually went extinct.”
“That’s right, most of us just flew around for years, and entered a deep sleep. While we slept our bodies formed the mountains and hills of the earth.” he said.
“What about you?” Amalie asked
“Me? Heh, I was a bit rebellious, when everyone else decided to rest, I stayed awake.” he said to them.
“Why?” Amalie asked him.
“I thought I would become the strongest of us dragons, I was foolish.” he hung his head, “I challenged the strongest of us all, got beaten up to a pulp and escaped with my life hahaha.”
“It seems like this dragon is an idiot.” Amalie uttered.
