MY FATHER, MY HERO

"I know you're hungry, and I am too. I made sure to wait until you woke up. So, we could do it together," Adam said.

Ella, on the other hand, was more than being hungry. She was also curious about what Adam would do. Ella didn't bother to think about it before. However, knowing who Adam's parents were and wondering if all that was on her mind was true, she had to observe Adam more.

She sat on the table across from Adam and stared at the food.  Vegetable stew with only tofu, sauteed spinach on noodle top and without meat, and a garden salad. Ella wondered why Adam was serving all vegetable dishes.

"No meat?" she asked, wondering.

Adam chortled and said, "I am a vegetarian."

Ella's brow furrowed. How could a vampire be a vegetarian? They drank blood even though it was not precisely meat, but it was still a carnivorous thing. A vampire should not consider himself a vegetarian. It would be ridiculous.
