Drunk 2

"Yes My Prince, that was what she said...!" Samuel didn't deny it and just admitted it.

Andrew just looked at him before turning his attention back to the girl.

"So?" He said.

Samuel looked at him with a confused expression, thinking maybe he was the whom Andrew night have been talking to.

Mariam looked as confused as Samuel.

Looking at Samuel, then at the dishes which she was holding, then at the Prince, she asked;

"W...w...where y...you...talking to me My Prince...?" She stuttered.

Before she could finish, Andrew yelled;

"THE DRINK!"

His yell had Mariam shake out of her bones and almost toss the dishes out of her hands but she was able to steady herself.

With her right hand on her chest while the other held the dishes, Mariam tried to calm her already racing heartbeat.

Seeing this, Andrew burst out laughing as he pointed at the maid.

"Hahahahaha!!!!" Andrew laughed loudly.

"Ahhhh, Mariam, you are so funny....!" He laughed.

Mariam frowned slightly.

"Sire...!"

Raising his hand up, Andrew stopped her do talking, while still laughing.

"You know, Mariam..." He turned serious after laughing for some time.

"I wonder how you would react if they shouted 'SURPRISE!' for you, on your wedding day...!" He said as he started laughing again.

Mariam gave him a stink eye as she twitched her nose as if she had perceived something foul.

'Oh, how naughty!' Mariam thought.

If it had not been that he was the Crown Prince and an arrogant one at that, she would have given him some beating and the scolding of his life that he wouldn't forget.

She was older than him, yet he didn't know how to talk to a lady as old as he was, even though he was still younger than her, he never had manners no matter how hard he was thought.

Just like Samuel, Mariam ga grown up with Andrew having been taking from her family to serve at the Palace.

Mariam is five (5) years older than Andrew, but three (3) years older than Samuel.

Although, she had been in the Castle long before Samuel came into the picture, she hadn't been noticed by Andrew in order to make friends.

They had accidentally known each other when...

"Mariam...Mariam...Mariam!" Andrew called as he waved his hand in front of Mariam's face in order to get her attention.

Blinking her eyes at a rapid pace, she came realize that Andrew had stood up and had been waving his hands and clicking his fingers right in front of her face in order for her to snap out of her 'dreamy' state.

After about ten (10) seconds, Mariam finally came to her senses.

"Mariam, you need to get back to your senses and stop acting all dreamy...you've grown past that age...!" Andrew said as he slumped down onto the chair he had been sitting on.

Mariam gave him a stern look which made Andrew chuckle.

"Oh, how you look cute when you .ake that face...!" Andrew complimented as he made a show of placing his hand beneath his chin, in order to rest it.

Mariam glared at him for a bit before saying;

"I'll go get your drink...!" She said gently before heading to the kitchen and retire with a glass filled with red wine, Andrew's favorite.

Immediately Andrew sighted it, his eyes brightened up a bit before cautioning himself.

When the wine was placed on the table in fro t of him, he stared intently at it.

Mariam saw this and turned to look at Samuel who was scrapping the remaining food on the plate, just to seize his own time.

After studying it for five (5) seconds, Andrew looked up at Mariam who was watching Andrew's expression with a confused look on her face.

Seeing this, Andrew chuckled a bit straightened himself in his seat properly before asking;

"What's with the funny expression, Mariam?"

"Is something wrong with the wine, Sire?" Mariam asked.

Turning serious, Andrew replied;

"Yeah, it looks like, there's some kind of drug in it...!" Andrew pointed.

Mariam's whole body stiffened.

"Drug...?" She asked.

"Yeah, drug..." Andrew replied.

Andrew looked at her sternly.

He wanted to know if his drink had been drugged and then good the blame onto the heads of these two (2) in front of him.

But it seems, they're innocent.

Picking up the wine from the table in front of him, Andrew brought the red liquid up to his face.

Looking into the cup, he sniffed the wine.

"Sire!" Mariam screeched.

Andrew jolted a little but he looked up at Mariam, who had almost gotten his wine spilled.

Even Samuel couldn't resist looking up to know what the problem was.

"What is it...?" Samuel asked.

"Yes what is it?" Andrew asked angrily.

"You don't just interrupt the King's dinner just to tutor him or get him to notice you, it's inappropriate... haven't you been taught manners?!" Andrew asked in irritation.

"It's called 'Etiquettes'!!!" Andrew shouted.

Mariam frowned.

'I think you're the one that needs to be taught manners...!' Mariam thought before answering.

"I'm sorry My Lord, but it's just that...as a Prince, you are not supposed to snuff your wine like that...It would be 'inappropriate' if you do so...especially when you have visitors...!" Mariam explained.

"It wouldn't be considered as 'Proper Manners' especially if it has something to do with the King...!" Mariam said.

"And yes it is called 'Etiquettes'...!" Mariam said as she placed emphasis on the 'Etiquettes'.

Andrew frowned and looked away.

Seeing that Andrew had gotten 'schooled' a little, Mariam wore an irresistible smile.

Placing the tray in front of her, Mariam asked;

"Is there anything else you would like to have Prince Andrew...?"

She asked in sweetest voice heare-able.

Andrew seemed to have guessed what she was doing as he just looked at her and waved her off and said nothing and said;

"Go!" As she turned and was about to go, Andrew called her back.

"Wait!"

Mariam turned, just in time to see that Andrew had looked at the wine one more time.

Mouth salivating, but had to control his thirst for this particular wine. But as his mouth kept on salivating, he looked at the cup with the content o side, he consumed everything in one gulp.

Mariam watched, stunned as he gulped down everything. Her eyes bulged.

'Had'nt the Prince eaten or drunken anything? Why was he that thirsty?' Mariam thought.

But her curiosity had her ask;

"Sire, haven't you eaten in a long while...!"

Licking the cup, Andrew waved her off.

Dropping the glass cup, Andrew was already a bit drink firm drinking that wine in excess and in one gulp.

"Yeah, well...it's been a while...!" Andrew said as he dropped the glass cup on the table about drunk.
