Drunk 3...

"Yeah, well...it's been a while...!" Andrew said as he dropped the glass cup on the table almost drunk.

He still had little control over hi body though.

Mariam and Samuel looked at each other.

"Sire, are, you Okay...?!" Samuel asked from where he sat.

With his head lagging forward, there was no reply.

For a moment, Mariam and Samuel thought they were in trouble.

Mariam began to shake.

"Prince Andrew...?" She asked as she used her hand to shake the Prince a bit.

As she shaked the Prince a bit,there still wasn't a reply from Andrew as his head slumped to the front.

"Prince...?" Mariam asked.

"Prince Andrew...are you there...? Are you alright...?" She asked as she continued to shake Andrew, this time much more vigorously.

After some time, Mariam left him, and her hands flew to her mouth as she gasped.

Turning to look at Samuel, she said;

"S...S...Samuel, h...he's out, he's out...the...the King mad, h...h...he's going to be mad, so mad...!" She stuttered deeply as she turned around.

When she turned, her turn was to confirm if the King was standing by the door.

And her guess had been correct.

As she turned, her body stiffened, she couldn't talk, nether could she scream as she had intended if she saw the King, but as she was about to let the scream out of her mouth, the King motioned for her to keep mute and act as if he wasn't there by placing a finger on his lips and demonstrated;

"Shhhhhhh!"

Getting the message, Mariam turned her head as if she hadn't seen anything.

"Mariam, are you okay?" Samuel asked as he got up to look at Mariam properly, to make sure, she was okay and hadn't seen a ghost.

"I hope you didn't see a ghost...!" Samuel asked teasingly with a smirk on his face.

Mariam that had been silent and staring at something behind him snapped and looked at him with a stink eye.

"Ha ha, very funny...!" Mariam said.

Samuel laughed.

Then he turned serious.

"No, but seriously, we you Okay?" Samuel asked again.

Mariam looked at him, she could see some kind of care in his eyes, then he said;

"Because you did look like you have seen a ghost...!" He said and smirked.

Mariam wanted to laugh.

"You know if I had seen a ghost, do you know the first person that'll flee the castle...?" She asked.

"Hmmmm, who!" Samuel asked.

Mariam was about to reply when he said;

"Oooo, let me guess...you!" He said as he pointed at Mariam.

"Hahaha, so very funny, you know, the person that'll flee the castle, without looking back to see if the ghost's still on his tail, and also without thinking about other fair maidens...!" She said as she pointed in the direction of the kitchen before continuing;

"Is you!" Mariam said as she pointed her finger really close at Samuel's face and pouted.

Samuel found it cute.

"Awwwwww, look at how cute you are, you must resemble a cat...!" Samuel teased.

Mariam was not going to back down neither was Samuel going to let her off easily.

"Aren't you going to pet me too...?" Samuel asked and then made a cute face.

"I gave you a nice compliment...didn't you like it...?" Samuel asked again as he acted a little bit childish.

Mariam couldn't help it and laughed.

"Do you know what you look like right now...?" Mariam asked.

Samuel smiled as he waited for Mariam's compliment.

"A pig...!" Marian exclaimed whilst laughing.

Samuel frowned.

"W...a what...?" He asked in disbelief as ge struggled to keep his smile on, but it faltered.

"Do I really look like a pig to you...?" Samuel asked in displeasure as he Mariam laughed on heartily.

Hearing that question and seeing Samuel's face all serious, she turned serious, but that was only a play serious face as she placed her hand beneath her chin to support it and make it look as if she was in deep thoughts.

"Hmmm, do you really look like a pig, do you really look like a pig, hmmm...!" She asked as she thought.

Samuel frowned, but it patiently waited for her answer.

Wanting to see him frown the the more, Mariam decided to play a little more.

Swaying herself side to side, Mariam said;

"Maybe!"

Samuel's jaw dropped.

'Did this woman mean what she just said...?' Samuel thought.

Samuel frowned deeper.

"Why are you this mean to me...!" Samuel pouted.

"You could have at least said 'no I was just joking...' yet you choose to say yes, that I do look like a pig...!"

Mariam cut him off.

"I should have said you looks like a goat even...!" Mariam said as she continued to sway.

Samuel looked at her in utter disbelief as his jaw dropped.

"I think that defines you better, that actually saying you are a pig...!" Mariam added, still swaying.

"Pigs are too dirty, and I hate dirt...and dirty people, you're a goat!" Mariam said.

"What's the difference between a goat and a pig, they both are dirt themselves...!" Samuel said

"Yes, but, pigs are the most of the dirt because they love to sleep in mud, eat garbage, play in the dirt, whirl goats don't, although they are sometimes dirty, theirs cannot be compared to that of the pigs!" Mariam said.

"So are you trying to say that you love goats? Samuel asked.Mariam smiled, she knew what he was getting at.

"No, I love rabbits...!" Mariam said as she smiled and closed her eyes but continued to sway.

Samuel could not have believed what he had just heard.

He was called a goat.

Mariam, of all people had called him a goat.

He was a goat.

Samuel's jaw fell, but he couldn't speak.

He was too stunned to speak.

For the moment that they had been arguing, Samuel and Mariam seemed to have forgotten the Prince that sat in front of them slumped.

Little did they know, The Prince had listened to their little conversation and was smiling.

When Mariam saw that she had gotten Samuel, she turned, subconsciously to look at the Prince, he was smiling.

Mariam stopped swaying and focused all her attention on Andrew.

"Uhhh, Samuel?" She called.

Samuel refused to answer her. After calling him a pig, why was she calling him again?

Was she trying to insult him again?

No way!

"Samuel...?" Mariam called again.

Samuel still refused to answer her.

"Don't call my name!" Samuel said.

"After calling me a pig and a goat, you now want to make fun of me the more righ? No way...!"

Samuel thought this would be a good opportunity to get back at her for what she had called him, so he joked.

"Samuel stop playing...!" Mariam said.

"Why...?" Samuel asked.

He was not ready to give up yet.

Pointing at Andrew, Mariam said;

"He's smiling...!" She whispered.

Samuel looked at Andrew.

"So?" He asked.

Looking at Samuel, Mariam couldn't believe the kind of dumb friend she had.

"Don't you think, he could have heard everything and think that we ignored him..."

Samuel looked at her and then at the drunk Prince lying in front of them on the table.

"No, I don't think so...!" Samuel said.

"What do you mean?" Mariam asked.

Looking closely at the drunk Prince, Samuel said;

"I think maybe it's the reaction from the wine..."

"Yeah well, I don't think so...!" Andrew said as he raised his head up.

Mariam gasped as she shook with fear...

Samuel also stayed stiff.

Andrew just looked at the two that stayed stiff as if they've been caught doing something wrong, and then smiled.

Standing up from the chair, Andrew said;

"You two need help...!"

Mariam began to blush without knowing it, while Samuel just smiled a little.

As Andrew walked farther from the table, Mariam hit Samuel's shoulder gently and said;

"I knew he wasn't unconscious, he's been listening to everything we've been saying...!" Mariam said.

"Did you say anything bad?" Samuel cut in to ask.

Mariam hesitated for a bit before answering;

"No...!"

"Then what are you afraid of...!"
