Silent Fight 2!

Once Lucas and the two (2) other soldiers were out of sight, and they were sure they weren't being followed, Mariam looked at Samuel as they walked.

His hand as did not let go of Mariam's, and they walked pretty fast.

Actually it was Samuel who walked pretty fast, Mariam's hand was still in his so with his hands locked around her wrist, she just had to follow his brisk movements.

And that caused her to walk briskly also.

Seeing that Samuel did not let go of her hand even when Lucas and the other two (2) soldiers were out of sight, Mariam got scared.

She thought maybe Samuel was angry with her.

"S...S...Samuel?" She stammered as she called out his name.

Neither stopping, nor turning even his head around, Samuel'd deep voice replied;

"What?"

His voice was sharp, and it caused mariam to shiver.

"M...M...My wrist please? It really hurts with your grip on it..." She said like a little lamb prepared for slaughter.

Loosening his grip around her wrist to the point where she felt relieved, Samuel did not stop not turn around but instead asked;

"How's this...?"

"Much better...!" She replied honestly.

Though she expected Samuel to let go of her wrist do she could also walk freely and at her own pace, Samuel never did so.

He held on firmly, but not tightly onto her wrist and also walked briskly.

And Mariam followed.

But with the length of her gown and it's wideness, it made it difficult for Mariam to walk properly, so she said;

"Samuel'd san you let go of my wrist please...?" She first asked.

"It really hurts because of your grip...!" She said.

Without turning his head not stopping, Samuel asked;

"Why...? So you can get lost again and make it difficult for me to find you...?"

Marian chuckled a bit.

"Uh, Samuel, you literally know every route, nok and 'cranny' of this castle so, it won't be difficult for you to find me if you want to...!" She said as she smiled.

"Or is it because you want to spend some more time with Lucas...?" He asked.

Mariam frowned.

'What has gotten into his head now...?' She thought.

'What brought about lucas into the scene...?' She thought.

Stopping and pulling her hand with all her might out of the grip of Samuel but still couldn't prevail because Samuel was obviously stronger and much more masculine that her, Mariam said angrily;

"Samuel, what is wrong with you...?!" She first asked.

With the force that Mariam used to try and get her hand out of Samuel's, Samuel stopped walking and turned to look at Mariam.

When she noticed that Samuel had stopped and was now looking at her, she asked again;

"What is wrong with you...?"

"What brought Lucas into this right now...?!" She yelled

Samuel looked at her as she shouted.

Her loud voice echoed throughout the hall, causing it to resound after her.

Although, they were the only ones that were in that hallway.

"What is wrong with me...?" Samuel asked as he let go of Mariam's wrist.

"What do mean, 'what's wrong with me!' " Samuel asked as he turned around to fully face Mariam fully.

"What, brought Lucas into this right now...!" Mariam asked irritated.

Samuel stared at her. Before he could say anything Mariam beat him to it.

"What are you acting all possessive...?" She asked angrily.

Samuel raised his brows and looked around before pointing at himself and asked;

"I'm being possessive...?"

"YES!!!" Mariam shouted.

"Why am I being all possessive...?" He asked again.

"Just...!" Mariam was about to say something, but was cut short.

"What about the time that you were bragging in the courtroom some minutes ago, that you could beat anyone, hm? How about that?" He asked.

Mariam sighed and was about to say something but was immediately cut short.

"You said, that you were better off that some of the soldiers in there...that you could take on ala whole army...!" Samuel shouted.

Holding the bridge of her nose, Mariam shouted;

"That is not what I said, stop lying and adding more seasoning to this already heated conversation already...!"

"I should stop lying...?" Samuel asked as he turned round to look behind him to make sure that Mariam was shouting at.

Turning back round again to face her, Samuel said;

"I should stop adding seasoning to the already heated conversation...?" He asked again.

Mariam sighed in frustration, and said;

"You know, I don't know what is wrong with you...!"

Samuel looked at her.

"Some minutes before meeting with Lucas, we were all jittery and chatting, now we're all angry and shouting at each other..!" She said.

"Just because he cornered me doesn't mean he can do anything to me, in order to hurt me...!" She added.

"But that doesn't mean you can trust him fully...!" Samuel muttered, almost inaudibly, but Mariam's ears picked it.

"You know I heard that, right?" Marian asked.

Samuel rolled his eyeballs.

"Whatever, you heard it or you don't...!" Then he sighed.

"I was just worried about your u alright...?" Samuel said.

"I care...!" He added.

Mariam raised one of her eyebrow.

"I never expected you to care...!" Mariam snorted.

"Besides, I can take care of myself, by myself...and for myself...!" Mariam said as she crossed her arms across her chest.

"Of course, yes, of course...says the fair maiden who had actually boasted just that in the courtroom, but no sooner had the opportunity came, she couldn't even talk back at the young respective handsome soldier...!" Samuel teased.

That had Mariam attention.

"Excuse me, you weren't there when I thrashed-talked him with my own mouth...!" Mariam snapped.

"Actually, I heard every single word...!" Samuel cut in.

Mariam's ears had turned attentive.

"You can't be serious...!" She said.

"Oh I am Mariam...I am...!" He said with a straight look on his face as he leaned on the wall.

"Or should I say, 'Darling'...?" He asked.
