What Made Him Look Down on Other People So Much?

"Teacher Kato, what are you looking at? Ah, a resort?"

Himari looked up from the screen of her laptop. She smiled at Teacher Ayase who had just returned from her class. The information about the strawberry farm resort was displayed on the screen.

"Yup! I'm confirming the booking for the resort. Golden Week is coming soon, right? I'll be going home then go to the resort next."

"Ha, I could finally breathe once the holiday is here," Teacher Ayase placed her books on the table before pulling out the chair, "My children want to go to the amusement park. I've to pick one day to bring them there."

"Amusement park is good too," Himari laughed.

Speaking of amusement park, she remembered that Kazuya said he would bring Izumi and Chiharu to one during Golden Week. The little dumpling Chiharu must be so happy to play with the entertaining rides there.

"Teacher Kato, how is your student?" Teacher Ayase asked suddenly. Her expression changed a bit.

"What do you mean?" Himari blinked in confusion at the question.

Teacher Ayase looked down at a file. She flipped the cover open, revealing the documents inside.

"President Kasai has finalized the transfer documents for his son. I didn't really believe that he would send his only son abroad but, it seems like Student Kasai would go to the boarding school next week."

"Eh? Really?"

Himari didn't pay much attention to the student named Kasai Yuuto after the fight that happened last week. Since the fight was settled with the interference of his father, she thought nothing would really happen next.

Who knew, the boy would really be sent to the boarding school abroad.

"Student Kasai would really be sent there?" Himari asked again.

"This week would be the last one he's here," Teacher Ayase affirmed with a nod.

Himari pursed her lips as she felt uncomfortable by the news.

It wasn't her place to say much but, she thought President Kasai and his wife would focus on re-educating their son before taking the measure of sending him abroad - by involving themselves more in their son's life as well as putting a sterner front to instill good values in him.

Kasai Yuuto was only nine years old. To send a child as young as him abroad alone, wasn't it too much?

Still, Himari had heard of children coming from high society who studied abroad as early as six years old.

The world of the wealthy was something that she couldn't really fathom by herself.

"Does he still come to the school?" Himari shook her head inwardly, trying to put a stop to what was circling in her mind.

"He came today. It seems like his father's words have frightened him since he behaved well in school since the day of the fight," Teacher Ayase put the file back on the desk. She began to tidy up her items.

"You're going home already, Teacher Ayase?" Himari clicked the Close icon of the browser, revealing the wallpaper of cherry blossoms park on the screen.

"Yes. My children want to have sukiyaki for dinner tonight. I have to go and buy the ingredients," Teacher Ayase glanced at Himari with a laugh, "Children. They really know to tire their mothers."

"Hehe, it's because they know you would pamper them," replied Himari who was also laughing.

After Teacher Ayase left, Himari tidied up her desk too. There was no need for her to stay in the school any longer. All of her jobs had been completed well.

Standing up, Himari's eyes fell on Teacher Masuda's desk that was placed quite far from her. The Mathematics teacher's bag wasn't there anymore. She must already be on her way home.

The news of Teacher Masuda playing a small role in the film was suppressed from being known to the students. The filming crew was still busy with their shootings. From what the principal had notified them, they would be here until late at night.

Himari left the teachers' room. Only a few other teachers left inside, all were busy with their jobs.

She planned to call her mother tonight. Her mother was so excited regarding their plan to go to the strawberry farm resort.

Since the resort allowed pets, Himari didn't have to leave Chobi in any pet hotel. Chobi must be happy to run around the farm.

Besides the renowned strawberry farm, the resort had a small grape farm and a ranch as well. It would be an exciting experience.

While Himari was walking down the hallway, a notification came from her phone.

Izumi's name was displayed as the one who sent the message.

[Izumi: Help]

[Izumi: Gym]

"What... is this?"

A bad feeling flashed in her heart. These messages screamed nasty news. Himari quickened her steps to run to the staircase while she tried calling Izumi.

Ring... Ring... Ring...

Next, the operator's voice sounded at the end of the line, "Sorry. The caller is unavailable. Please try again."

"Why doesn't he pick up the call?" Himari mumbled in panic. She tried again.

Ring... Ring... Ring...

"...Izumi! What happens? Where are you?"

Instead of listening to the boy's voice replying to him, what entered Himari's ears was the sound of people fighting and someone crying.

Her heart stopped beating for a moment once she realized it was Chiharu who was crying.

"Waaa! Big Brother!"

"...Give it back! It's my sister's!"

"Heh? This doll is so old. I would help you to throw it."

"No! No! It's Chiharu's! Don't throw it away!"

Besides Izumi and Chiharu, the other voice should belong to Kasai Yuuto.

Himari was drowned in fear. She dashed downstairs while calling the security post. In her panic, she asked the guards to go to the school gym. The students who saw her along the way all felt something was off but Himari didn't stop to explain to them.

The gym was located far from the educational and administrative buildings, separated by a large sports field. The students would rarely go there unless they were using it for practicing sports or during PE lessons.

The doors were closed. Himari banged it open. On one side of the gym, a small group of students was surrounding two other students - Izumi and Chiharu.

"Sto...Stop! What are you doing?"

Himari panted heavily by the time she reached the gym. Her appearance made the students startled except for one person, Kasai Yuuto.

"You dare calling the teacher here?" The boy's face was furious as he directed his hatred-filled eyes to Izumi.

"So what? Do you think I would just accept you bullying my sister?" Izumi retorted in a harsh voice.

"Teacher! Teacher Kato! Help Chiharu and Big Brother... Waaa..." Chiharu began crying for Himari.

The sound of her cries sounded so heartwrenching.

Himari ran to the little girl. Her small face flushed red due to her crying. She carried Chiharu, slowly stood up and swept her gaze across the students. She recognized that two of the students were also caught fighting together with Yuuto and Izumi before.

"What happened? Student Kasai, did you do something to them?" Himari frowned.

This time, it was so obvious that this boy was bullying Izumi and Chiharu compared to the time they fought last week. What made her disappointed was the fact that Chiharu got dragged away in this mess.

"Shut up. I'm not afraid of you," Yuuto glared at Himari, "Since Izumi got me punished by my father, I'm just paying it back!"

"Teacher... Teacher... Chiharu's bunny..." Chiharu pulled at Himari's shirt. Her teary eyes were looking at Himari with sadness and hope, "That bad brother took Chiharu's bunny... It's given by Mama... Chiharu's bunny..."

Chiharu pointed to the gym floor. A small bunny plush toy lied on the floor, its head was torn apart from the body.

This was the bunny that Chiharu tied to her school bag!

As his teacher was here, Izumi was in relief. He moved forward to get the bunny toy then, he carefully placed the body and the head in his bag.

He couldn't just leave the toy. It was the last gift from Mama to Chiharu.

"Everyone, follow me to the discipline room," Himari looked back at Yuuto and his little followers. Her forehead was creased in displeasure, "No one could make excuses. I'll call all of your parents here."

"Teacher, please don't!"

"We're threatened by Yuuto to come here!"

"We won't do it again!"

While the other students begged Himari to forgive them, Yuuto was still stubborn. He didn't even mask his anger toward Izumi and Himari. Both of his hands were clenched into fists.

Himari had never seen a child with such hatred like him.

What made him look down on other people so much?

"Student Kasai, let's..."

Pak!

It happened in an instant. By the time Himari could grasp the situation, she felt her forehead throbbed in pain with warm liquid trickling down her face.

What... happened?

"Tea... Teacher Kato! Blood! Blood!" Chiharu cried out loud.

"Yuuto!"

"What have you done?"

"That's a teacher!"

While the students exclaimed in fear, Yuuto was struck in horror at the sight of the red liquid on the teacher's face.

For the first time, the arrogance in his eyes was replaced with pure fear.

"Teacher Kato... I... I don't mean..."

For the first time, the conceited young boy spoke in tremors. His hands stiffly moved up and down, showing his fear.

Izumi gritted his teeth. He ran to Yuuto and knock him down. Yuuto fell on his bum. He blankly looked at Himari and Izumi.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" Izumi roared.

Yuuto began to whine in trepidation. Izumi stepped forward with both hands clenched into fists.

"Izumi, stop! Don't do anything!"

While Himari was panicking, a series of footsteps came from the outside of the gym. Three guards ran to them. All of them were shocked to see such a scene.

"Teacher Kato, what happened? We received your call for help. That... Blood? There's blood on your forehead!"

"Nothing, nothing... Please help me to gather them..."

Before the situation escalated, it was best to quickly bring the students involved out of the gym.

This time, it was more serious than the last fight.
