A criminal's anger and a broken promise

"You broke your promise, princess and now you must be punished." His voice came out husky and full of hate, almost unrecognizable. Marie wondered if the man in front of her was even Shadow Cat at all.

Tears dropped uncontrollably, Marie knew that the monster standing in front of her had lost control and would most likely end her life in a matter of minutes if not seconds.

Marie wanted to fight it, she wanted to do whatever it takes to be able to survive this but she was simply tired. Tired of being afraid, tired of having to run with little success, tired of the hell she called life, tired of having to fake happiness like she had been doing even before bumping into Shadow, she was tired. And that was the moment Marie accepted her fate. Marie would allow Shadow Cat to do what he wanted.

Shadow Cat picked Marie up bridal style as if she was as light as a feather and began to run and jump over things trying to make his way back home. Marie only shut her eyes tightly ignoring the world. She was tired and whatever was going to happen, where ever he would take her, whatever he would do she would accept it blindly without having knowledge of it. Before she knew it she heard the loud sound of the metal door unlocking signaling that they were back home, but even then Marie refused to open her eyes.

It wasn't till the moment Marie was thrown forcefully on a bed that she dared to open her eyes. A scared Marie opened her eyes to find herself in a king sized bed in a very nice and big room. His room! Her eyes immediately found him walking to his closet and saw as he pulled out a big red box from it. As he turned his black eyes met his and a wicked smirk formed from his lips making Marie gulped harshly.

Shadow Cats smirk faded as he once again showed a frown, thoughts of her lying angered him. "Why did you do it?" He asked her not breaking eye contact with her whatsoever. But a scared Marie couldn't keep her eyes on him. Instead pulled her knees up and hugged them as she laid her head on top of her thighs covering it.

This reaction from her only angered Shadow Cat even more. He needed to know why she had done it. What was so bad about him that she would want to leave him? "Why?" Shadow yelled in frustration. His scream startled Marie and now she was angry.

Marie was angry but how could she tell him that she was mad because he left her, because he keeps her locked up instead of trusting her to come back, because after she saved his life he just went to once again risk it not being fully healed not giving a fuck if she was worried. How could she tell him? He wouldn't understand because even she can't understand. She can't explain why she felt that way. Instead she decided to speak out of anger. "Because!"

"Because what? You lied to me, you broke your promise, and you ran from me. Answer me Damn it!" Shadow yelled even louder he was still not in control but even then the monster refrained from cutting her like it wanted to.

Instead Shadow threw everything he could find towards the door. There was glass shattering everywhere, book flying, décor being broken, and everything in his room being destroyed. Once again Marie found herself trembling in fear but she was determined to make this end. So she yelled again trying to force him to end her suffering. She yelled the words that in her head she believed were the truth, the words that she knew would hurt him greatly, and the words that every ounce of her but her heart believed.

"Because I wanted to, because I hate you, and because you are nothing but a monster! I regret the second I decided to save your live. I did it because I wanted to be free, free from you, and because you are nothing but a worthless deranged criminal!" She spat out, her voice full of disdain. Shadow first showed pain but it was quickly replaced by hate. This is what Marie wanted, she wanted it to end, and she was ready to accept her fate, her death.

As if it were possible Shadow Cat's eyes darkened even more as his jaw tightened; his teeth grinding together, his hands turned into fists, his knuckles turned white, his breath hitched and the evil within him was no longer able to calm his need for vengeance. "Worthless, deranged, criminal, monster." The words played inside his head like an echo. Hate radiating from his body. Marie could almost swear steam was coming from his body. "Well if that is what you think I am then that is what I will be" he relied spitefully.

"Get ready princess, tonight I'll make you mine"
