[Bomber-tick]

Bomber-tick is one of the multiple bug-like creatures which were born in the dungeon, yet compared to others they unlock ranged magic attacks as soon as they are born, this leads to them becoming one of the strongest stage 1 creatures because of their destructive capability.

Bomber-tick takes the appearance of a rock-like creature with a pointee crystal growing on its back. They have 8 legs and a few pairs of wings that they can use. They sometimes are even mistaken for crab monsters because of their size and colour. Even though they are deadly they have many disadvantages. One of them is that they are absolutely useless in close combat. In addition to that, to attack from the long-range they will have to open up their backs. Bomber-tick will have to move its plate armour and expose organs and its monster core, to cast a spell and effectively use it, if it doesn't want to kill itself.

After their little chat, Edgar went straight to training his skills. He knew that he doesn't have any attack skills, therefore he tried to gain some by doing some simple attacks like biting or rolling and crashing into the target which was the mantis body. He would have tried to experiment more if his body allowed him to do so.

He kept going and going for several hours, but he didn't get any skills and only improved some old skills despite his hard work. Because of his training, he felt hungry and ate some of the mantis parts during breaks.

Edgar: 'So, to gain fighting skills I need to fight and put my life on the line. However, to get non-fighting skills I just need to meet the requirement and said requirement can be anything like chop some wood to get lumberjack skill.'

Edgar: 'I should wait until Riku will be able to move and go hunting with him. I need to get strong to survive and get a new body when I evolve because currently, I rely on my skills more than my techniques and knowledge of fighting from the past. If I live it until the last moment, it might get me killed.'

Edgar: 'Hmmm'

Turning around Edgar stumbled to the hall and looked down and saw Riku sleeping in there.

Edgar: 'I could just kill him and get experience from him… '

Edgar: 'No, I will not lower myself to the point where I'll kill a child who doesn't even know how to fight. Why am I even trying to rush this so much? '

Turning around Edgar stumbled outside and went to the cave excite while trying to come up with some ways to find monsters quickly.

Edgar: 'I could try to find some monsters in this cave. I still have a lot of parts to explore… Wait a sec if I remember correctly Riku noticed me when I was underground and when I came into the cave. I can use his skills to find monsters.'

Edgar: 'Yet Riku is asleep and he is not healed yet.'

He kept going down the tunnels carefully expecting every corner trying not to miss anything.

Edgar: 'Not bad. But I need to keep going down these halls until I find something to fight.'

With that thought, Edgar stumbled down the endless corridors of the cave.

He kept walking for 20~30 minutes until he saw something move behind the crystals. Edgar quickly jumped to the wall and started to dig a tunnel. Though he's a skill, he knew roughly where the monster was. When he was just a few meters away, he thought of making a small hall just to see what that creature was.

Edgar: 'If I remember correctly, this creature is from those short stories I read in my past life. What was its name?'

Edgar kept scrutinizing this creature until he finally remembered what it was. The humanoid creature in front of him had red skin with a few small horns on its head and with a small tail and wings growing on its back.

Edgar: 'Imp!'

Edgar: 'If I remember correct they never live on their own so if I make him feel I might find their camp'

Edgar: 'Or should I wait and follow him so my skills can improve?'

Edgar: 'I currently need my skills more than anything else so I will just patiently wait'

Edgar ignored the notification and kept focusing on the imp. He had many questions to which he would love to get answers, yet he knew that nobody would answer.

The little imp didn't sit still and kept moving around the halls of the cave. It was beneficial for Edgar because he was constantly improving his skills.

Edgar: 'When will you start going to your horde? Maybe he doesn't have one… Compared to me and other creatures he doesn't look like he belongs in this crystal dungeon… He might have come from outside or a different floor.'

Edgar kept following little imp for an unknown period of time. It's hard how much time has passed in the dungeon. Edgar only knew that he spent just about 48 hours inside the dungeon because of his passive skill.

Edgar: 'I had enough! My patience isn't endless and all this imp did was walk in circles.'

Edgar swiftly moves his paw and destroys the wall. The little imp jumps back from the noise behind himself. Edgar walks out and starts to wait for the imp to turn around out.

Edgar: 'Come on, come on, come on just start running to your horde and ask them to help you.'

After his reincarnation, fate was never in his favour and the imp who was originally meant to run away just started running at him and preparing to strike him with its hooves.

Edgar stood still and patiently waited for the small creature to come close. He wasn't going to dodge and was only going to wound him a little bit.

On the other side, the imp was laughing in anticipation of easy prey. When he was only a few steps away he spun around, growing his momentum even more and aimed at Edgar's head.

Edgar: 'That it? And that was a hit to the head… A little disappointing.'

Edgar didn't even bother to think of a way to attack the imp in front of him, he just carelessly bit its wing and kept pulling it trying to rip it off.

The imp was stunned for a few seconds due to the shock and pain, but as soon as it understood its life is in danger imp started to try to push off Edgar. At first, Imp thought it would be easy, but after multiple failed attempts and growing pain in its wing, he simply used both his feet and slammed them at Edgar's face. It turned out to be quite effective because he escaped Edgar's jaws and made the distance between each other.

The imp quickly raised his eyes and began to drill Edgar with his gaze, on the other side Edgar was simply chewing imps wing.

Edgar: 'This is getting awkward. He is just staring at me and not doing anything else'

Edgar sighed wearily and walked slowly toward the imp. Each step echoed through the corridors. The imp in front of him started to shiver when he saw Edgar approach him. Little imp awkwardly turned and began to run stumbling at every second step. Edgar wasn't going to chase him away because he knew that the demon in front of him had more stamina. He slowly followed and smelled the blood marks on the floor while humping the melody from one of the games he played in his past life.

Edgar : 'La, la , la,la laLAla, laaalalala…'

Edgar: 'I knew that he would be scared and motivated to run faster but this… This went over the line… I kind of feel sorry for him now. After all, imps aren't that strong on their own.'

Edgar: 'I don't know if I should be happy or start cursing the way creatures get their skills down here'

Edgar slowly kept following the blood trace until he noticed more blood on the floor than before.

Edgar: 'He must have gotten tired or reached his destination.'

Thought Edgar before quickly turning around the corner. The view before his eyes shocked him. It was an informed cave with uncountable crystals growing from each side of said cave. Many of the crystals were so long that they reached the other side of the cave forming some sort of bridges. In the middle of the cave, he saw 4 crystal monoliths lining up in square formation which formed some sort of arena.

Edgar: 'If this place was built of rock then it would be a colosseum.'

Edgar could have stayed still for hours admiring the beauty of this place, but he quickly brushed it off and looked around trying to find the imp he chased.

Unknown voices: 'Ahaha'

Edgar quickly turned around and saw multiple imps covering the exit of the cave. When he looked up he saw imps seating on the crystal bridges and in front of him, he could see an imp he chased. That little imp was trying to hide behind his comrade's backs but he was pushed forward with 3 other imps.

Edgar: 'Huh they use you as the bate…'

Without paying much attention to the 4 imps which were pushed in this ring he simply looked for the weakest spot.

Edgar was confused at first but then saw different stuff flying at him from all directions. Some chucked rocks, others choked crystals, some chunked mud or turd at his eyes.

Edgar: 'It will be problematic to get them off the pillars but at least I have a second wind. I can just kill all the imps at the bottom and then try and get them down.'

Edgar: '!!??'

He was about to sprint into the imp formation when he saw a sean which made him rage.

He saw Imps chucking rocks and hitting the other 4 imps.

Edgar: 'Why what's the point of hitting your own team with rocks.'

Slowly the 4 imps were pushed to Edgar.

Edgar: '...'

Momentarily Edgar rolled up and rolled at the four imps. In just seconds he shortened the distance between them and was about to crush into 1 wing imp. The imp couldn't react because of the blood loss and constant hits from the rocks. Even though he knew he couldn't dodge, he still tried to protect himself due to pure instinct. It hopped back and tried to use its legs to block the incoming hit. The little imp closed his eyes and prepared for the hit. But the hit never came and he just landed on his back. Even though he felt intolerable pain because of the hard landing on his wing. He still stood up and looked around. He heard screams from behind him and looked back only to see Edgar breaking one of the imps necks with his jaws.

Edgar didn't give time for other imps to turn to him and went on a rampage. Using his momentum from rolling he aimed his jaws at the neck or livers. It doesn't matter what damage stats you have when you land a deadly strike on any creature, because they will have a high chance of dying starting away. For example if a human can see a monster's core sticking out and he breaks it somehow, he will momentarily kill the beast.

Edgar showed no mercy to those who tried to flee from him. He didn't pay attention to rocks that were heating him all over the body.

Suddenly he turned around and started to roll at the big group of imps. They didn't run and just decided to attack him. Which was the biggest mistake they made because as soon as they tried to jump on Edgar his shield exploded and dealt massive damage to all the imps around him, nearly killing them.

Without giving them a second chance to get up he went starter for their necks.

Edgar: 'Only 14 including those for imps are left'

However, he had small problems. Those imps which were on crystal bridges just kept chucking rocks and getting to the will was quite a pain.

Edgar knew that his stamina was running out and he couldn't risk losing it all so he just started to dig down to hide from the incoming rain of stones and too slowly get to the. Using his present detection skills and his intuition he managed to get to the foundation of the crystal, it took him around 40 seconds to reach the point where all imps were.

Edgar broke through the wall and started to roll at the imps.

When Edgar got close to the first imp he increased his speed. The next moment everybody could see that imp flying off the crystal bridge.

Edgar: 'I don't need to kill you myself… Gravity will do it for me.'

All imps quickly understood that they were not safe and started to run at Edgar's tunnel which was made a few seconds ago.

Edgar: 'Like I would let you do so'

He quickly beat the first imp at its hoof and drugged him to himself. Edgar quickly turned around and yeeted that imp of the bridge.

Edgar continued the process until there were only 4 imps left

Edgar quickly got down and stood in front of the 4 remaining imps.

Edgar: 'Should I kill them or try to make them my subordinates? It would be nice if they followed me.'

They kept playing the staring game until 3 imps decided to run for it but to their disillusionment, Edgar was already ready to strike but before Edgar could make a move he heard a squeaky voice to his left.

He notices a one-winged imp trying to tell them something.

Edgar: 'This is getting interesting'
