Vampires are rarely found in the dungeon, they sometimes take the position of the dungeon master, yet some just live in the dungeon. Vampires are capable of using different types of high magic as well as astonishing superhuman strength, agility, mana pool, vision, regeneration and reaction. They only come out hunting at night and usually attack in dark areas to have an advantage in the fight. Vampires are arrogant creatures and view themself as a supreme race and nobles of cores, they usually view others as nothing but food.

technically Vampires have a subclass of succubus, however, no evidence of such a statement was found yet. They usually feed on human/monster blood or their mana/energy. Each vampire has a different taste in the blood therefore it's hard to predict who it will hunt for and how will they feel when they drink blood, but there were rumours that human blood is similar to alcohol or in some cases can even be aphrodisiac.

All Vampires possess inhuman fighting skills, however, they have 2 major weaknesses. The first and most obvious one is Sunlight. Vampires can't stand it and will die in a few seconds if they are weak, yet some vampires will be partly affected. They won't show any burn marks but will become weaker than humans and lose all their mana. The second weakness is light magic, vampires are counted as undead therefore light magic will have a high effect on them.

Vampires take the appearances of humanoid creatures(usually humans) with pale skin, red eyes and sharp fangs.

Edgar: 'This is getting interesting'

While imps were trying to come up with something Edgar patiently waited. He wasn't going to attack them yet and was thinking of taking them to Riku so they could communicate and then give them an offer of following him.

The one wing imp looked puzzled about Edgar's actions and worried about his kin and kept shouting at them.

Edgar: 'I guess they don't want to listen to him.'

*Kof, Kof, Kof*

Edgar tried to cough on purpose to attract the groups' attention, when they all looked at him they saw him staring at them. Edgar turned around and drew a line. He then went on the other side of the line and stood still.

All 4 imps were confused but then went back to arguing in their *language*. In the end, only 1 imp was convinced not to fight or run, however, the other 2 just still ignored what was said.

They quickly turned around and went for it.

Edgar: 'So only 2 decide to run… Or are they trying to fight me? Huff why am I even surprised.'

Edgar just waited for them without moving. Imps were getting closer and closer.

Edgar: 'So they are running, I guess they forgot that our small battle attracted other creatures. If my senses are correct there are 2 more creatures outside.

The 2 imps were only a few meters away from Edgar. When both of them were about to collide they jumped in different directions and went past him. To their surprise, he didn't move and they felt relieved but the next moment, one of the imps screamed in pain. The second imp didn't have time to react and suffered the same fate as the first one.

Edgar slightly tilted his head and looked back to see what creatures came after them.

Not far from the exit of the cave or 'crystal arena' as Edgar named it, he could see 2 lizard-like creatures. Those creatures had six legs, sharp blue scales, two eyes covered in skin and a long tail with multiple spikes growing through its back. They had sharp nails and teeth.

Edgar: 'Salamanders… They must have followed the blood marks on the floor.'

Salamanders finally killed both imps and started to come close to Edgar's direction. They started to walk in circles trying to catch Edgar's guard and swiftly finish him off.

Edgar: 'This will be a troublesome fight if they both decide to attack me'

Edgar: 'Which one should I fight first, the left one or right one.'

Edgar rolled up and grabbed some dust in his mouth, without giving any warning Edgar started to roll to one of the salamanders.

Compared to imps who mainly rely on their numbers, salamanders are capable of hunting on their own and the current Edgar move only provoked one salamander. The second salamander just went for the imps.

Edgar: 'I hope they can survive long enough... or should I help them?'

Edgar quickly glanced back and saw two imps picking up some small stones and dirt. When the salamander was about to bite them, they both jumped to different sides while flinging dirt with small stones at the salamander's eyes. It roared in pain and started to use its tail as a whip, however, the two imps just started to make distance with Salamandra.

Edgar: 'So they were more instalments than others, I guess it will be easier to communicate with them after I bring them to Riku.'

The next moment his instinct told him to dodge to the side. Without questioning his instinct he quickly rolled to the side avoiding a powerful bite.

Edgar: 'That was close.'

Edgar turned towards his opponent and, with a calm gaze, began to assess his enemy. He started to circle Salamandra thinking of the way to strike it

Edgar: 'Judging by its scale armour position, I could only see the two most open places. Firstly, his eyes are completely unprotected, so it won't be difficult to blind him, and secondly, the stomach and in general, the whole lower part, has weaker scales, but the most noticeable weakness is his neck, and I can assume that almost all monsters or creatures will have this weakness.'

Edgar: 'hmm, compared to those imps, this salamander is pretty stupid… There are many narrow passages, if I lead it into one of them, it will definitely get stuck or might as well kill itself.'

With this thought in his head, he rushed to the crystal thorns at the walls of the cave and the monolithic pillars. Believing that his prey was trying to escape, the salamander rushed after Edgar. Unaware that it has already stepped into Edgar's deadly trap. As soon as Edgar reached the monolithic pillar, he started looking for the perfect place to trap salamander.

Edgar: 'I guess this will do.'

He quickly stood up on his back legs and only slightly turned sideways to the still running salamander.

Edgar: 'Time for some acting.'

He crouched a little and began to pretend that he trembled in fear and in addition to this, he frantically began digging. The salamander considered that it won and started to slow down, but when it saw that Edgar started digging a tunnel for himself, he rushed at him like a mad bull.

Edgar: 'heh!'

Edgar quickly rolled to the side, past the salamander bite. Due to the tremendous speed, the salamander couldn't stop in time. Its front legs hit a small hole left by Edgar causing it to lose balance and fall on its belly, but the momentum did go anywhere and the salamander continued to slide along the floor until it crashed into the crystal spikes. Edgar could see its head penetrated by one of the multiple crystal spikes.

Edgar: 'So it's still alive.'

Edgar calmly approached the already half-dead salamander and quickly beat the salamander in Its neck. using all his strength he pulled down, allowing its head to fall from the crystal spike.

Edgar was going to get its monster core and then try it's meant to see if it tasted nice, but then remembered that there is another one which he needs to fight. without any hesitation, he dug straight at its chest. He quickly found the core and swallowed it.

Edgar instantly rolled out from behind the monolith, with the help of his skill he saw how the second Salamandra was trying to jump two imps, which managed to climb onto the crystal.

Edgar: 'I guess these salamanders aren't just stupid… they are actually brain dead.'

Curled up, Edgar rolled towards the salamander, he tried to keep in the blind zone of the Salamandra so that he could get close. Nevertheless, it somehow heard or felt Edgar's approach, the salamander turned around with enormous speed and rushed to Edgar with an open mouth, ready to swallow him. Тot bewildered, Edgar braked sharply and began to prepare for the jump, as soon as a huge salamander was a couple of steps away from him, he dived under its mouth and, bouncing off the ground, buried his jaw in its soft neck.

*crunch*

His jaw pierced the delicate skin of salamanders that led to a high cry of agony from the said salamander. It abruptly rolled onto its back and, using its 4 front paws, tried to tear the Edgard away from its throat.

But to its misfortune Edgard was not going to let his prey go so simply and continued to pound on the lizard's throat with even greater force, even though Edgar was terrible in biology(same as author), he roughly understood where he bit the lizard.

Edgar: 'If I remember correctly, I think I beat it at the windpipe. Or is it larynx?'

Edgar: 'I guess it doesn't matter anyway, I just need to aim my night at my opponent's neck then it's a win for me.'

After a while, the lizard completely lost its strength and its paws fell to the ground without life. Edgar quickly released its neck and drugged its chest, and as soon as he felt the core with his nose, he bit it and pulled it out. He quickly swallowed a small crystal and calmly looked at the two demons who were hiding on top of the crystal, thinking that Edgar wouldn't notice them. Edgar let out a soft growl in their direction trying to convey to them that he knew where they were.

However, none of the imps tried to jump from the crystal or show themselves to Edgar. He moved his head away from the imps and slowly stumbled to other imps' bodies.

It took him a few minutes to collect most monster cores. He carefully picked up two crystals and offered them to two demons, then turned around and went after the other two. As soon as he picked them up he went to the last two corpses. Edgar took more than a whole corpse of the imp and made a hole in his chest, he put 2 crystals there, after which he took out another one from the said corpse itself and another one from the neighbouring one. leaving him with 4 more cores which he was plunging to give to Riku. He then went and bit a lizard tail and started dragging it to the exit. pilling the imp corpse on to the lizard's belly he set off to his so cold home or base.

When he got to the halfway mark he gave a small smile

Edgar: 'So they are following me.'

Deciding to ignore two small *problems*, he continued on his way to his house.

Edgar: 'Thank god they decided to follow me because it would have been such a pain to go back and search for them'

He continued on his way and after an indefinite amount of time, he reached his home. going inside and dragging the corpse of a lizard, he saw Riku feeding himself on the mantis corpse or at least what was left from it.

Riku: 'Hey I see you went hunting again'

Edgar: 'Yes I did and can I ask you to do something?'

Riku: 'Sure'

Edgar: 'There are two imps outside of the cave. Can you chat to them and ask them to come into our humble home.'

Riku: 'Ok'

With such a simple reply Riku simply went out of the cave and by the sound, the imps made he was probably chatting to them.

Edgar: 'I guess, I have some stuff to do before I can go to sleep'
