Stinger Mos

Race - Mosquito/insect

Stinger Mos is the name given to this unique but deadly type of mosquito. Unlike the Earth once, the smallest being 3mm and largest up to 25mm, this spacious went through many evolution and mutations before becoming the biggest swamp horror. Its height varies between 60 to 100 cm, width 40 to 60 cm and length 50 to 80 cm. Its wingspan starts at 140 cm and could reach 200cm, this creature has 6 long, thin legs covered with many thick, sharp, hairs. In some cases, these hairs were reported to be covered in diseased water or poison. At the tip of each leg, a spear-like claw is located. Nearly all of the legs meet closer to the neck.

Its body is a bit unproportional, with its belly covered by a thick exoskeleton which will expand when it drinks the blood and organs of its victims. Its back is covered in a mixture of hundreds of different-sized hairs. Even though its exoskeleton is hard it has numerous gaps revealing its flesh. Many Adventurous fall into this trap, by trying to cut or stab those gaps. Those flesh areas are tightly compressed excessive fluids which will burst out in clouds of red-brownish mist when hit.

Many reports say that there shouldn't be any short-term effects, apart from target coughing or crying. The creature then retreats and hides. After an hour or two, the victim will collapse letting the Stinger Mos have a free meal. Here is where its head comes in or more specifically two areas, Eyes and mouth.

This mosquito has 8 eyes with two large compound eyes and 6 small ones, each eye may consist of thousands of ommatidia, which are tiny independent photoreception units.

Moving to its moth it consists of 4 sharp fangs and over 20 little teeth in addition to that devastating moth it has one long and thick proboscis covered in numerous bone-like spikes with the tip ending in a much thinner and sharper spear-like head, which can open up after penetrating its victim to start consuming their inner parts.

This hell of the creature can be found in some swampy areas however it's quite rare(Thank god) due to bullfrogs* feasting on them. It can reproduce once every two years. Their colouring will depend on the location and each may pose an element on top of that making it an apex predator.

The guild labelled these Insects as High B rank and recommended hunting at it with at least 6 party members not lower than C rank.

Bullfrog is a massive type of frog which is immune to the majority of poisons. (better description next chapter)

If you have a better name do suggest it

The human group reorganized themself and started to head for the exit, before they were able to even walk 5 meters, they heard a strange hissing sound and not long after a fireball was fired at their back.

"Shit, another one! "

Supporter yelled, before diving to the side, the projectile kept flying forward before hitting the ceiling of the cave next to the captain and wounded tank. yet neither of them received any damage.

"That abnormal trying to tire us out, Priest cast your heel on the tank."

"roger that"

"In the divine name of the goddess of light and healing, who breathes life into us all, I consecrate this orb as a gate for you dazzling grace, by Earth and Air, by Fire and Water, hear my prayer and heal the body and mind of the warrior before me."

"Goddess grace!"

Throughout his chant, different magic circles appeared indicating progress in the Priest spell, on the final line shape of a small angel appeared before it flew towards Tank, with its gentle touch his wounds quickly started to heal and previous pain disappeared, with newly strength and clear mind he quickly got up and took his shield from the captain and bolted towards an incoming wave of monsters.

"Well let's move out and watch where you stepping"

"Yes cap"

While the human group were making their way out, Riku kept bombarding Edgar with endless complaints, with the letter attempting to reply 'calmly' to Rikus' childish behaviour.

"I told you that we didn't need to dig those HOLES!!!"

"Yes we did, now keep quiet, let me focus!"

"We just wasted time! I want compensation!!"

"No we didn't and you are getting none!"

"YES We did, none of them even got to those traps!!"

"How many times do I have to repeat myself Riku!!"

"Edgar, humans,run,to,exit."

"Crap, follow me, Riku join us!"

"NO"

"Riku get your fu***** ass down here before I come up there and shove one of the crystals you know where"

"..."

"RIKU!"

"K, I'm coming down!"

"Finally, follow me"

With those words Edgars' group went up one of the dug-out tunnels until they reached a room shaped like a sphere with a small window, a gap in the floor with a couple of rocks next to it, there was also one big rock placed in another part of the room further behind and numerous bigger gups in which it could be pushed further on the right of it. Each hole was covered up by dirt at the bottom, with bones being its support to prevent dirt from falling through. At the bottom of each hole were fist-size gups for Edger to see where his enemies were.

" Imps when you see their frontline coming to the exit through these rocks at them, it probably won't do much to them but it will serve as a distraction"

"Riku there is another tunnel leading to the sidewall of the cave I covered it up with a thin layer of dirt and clay, your fireball should be able to penetrate it rather easily"

"Who do I aim at ?"

"There priest"

"I will drop the rock on the mage, who currently is carrying an archer and if we are lucky we might be able to kill two at once. After the rock falls Izbor you aim to kill one of them. Be quick, don't play with your prey. Margan, your job is to throw these rocks at the big guy with mace, aim at the back of the head."

"Sounds good."

"Though Edgar, may I ask a quick question?"

"I'm listening."

"Don't you find this type of fighting dishonorable?"

"Riku, do you see a ring?

"Huh?"

"Do you see a referee or jury to judge this fight? I don't, so why should I bother being honourable and fight by the rules?"

"..."

"Does this answer your question, if it doesn't I'll tell you a story later, maybe that will answer it."

"Sure."

"Edgar,human,come,soon."

"Got it, get ready! Izbor forgot about throwing rocks, just get in position now."

"Got it, boss. where do I aim"

"Aim at the neck this is the quickest and easiest way to kill majority of things, ohh and take this"

Said Edgar while dropping a crystal out of his mouth, the crystal was bitten in various areas to shape it into a poorly made knife. Izbor quickly picked it up and started to hop towards a designated area. Not long after they got ready the front of the human team showed up and were slowly pushing towards the exit of the cave. By the look of it, The big guy and their tank were extremely exhausted from the endless horde of monsters. They were out of breath and their movements were slow and sluggish, in such a state they wouldn't be able to make it out of the dungeon without a solid hour of rest.

"Co..me on Tank *haaa,haaa* , you're d-dd-doing a-a grrreat jobbb just *haaa,haaa* … a bit… morre and we're out *haaa,haaa*…of thisss cave *haaa,haaa*."

"Mage how are archer, priest and support doing"

"They are fine Cap *haaa, haaa* … but I can't say the same for myself."

"What?"

"I'm not made for caring things."

"Seriously, you found the best time to complain," said the priest

"Why don't you carry her then!" shouted the mage at his companion.

"Pass her over."

And with those words mage dropped the archer's body onto the priest's hands before stretching and happily hopping forward.

"If-ff you haave *haaa, haaa* so-o muchh eneRgy…*haaa, haaa* thenn HeLP uSss."

"Sure, wait a second, let me cast an earth shrapnel"

The mage positioned himself and brought his hand forward preparing to cast his spell, he got through the first part of the spell and was about to finish it when they heard a weird sound above them.

"what's that noise," asked their supporter who previously was firing at creatures

"Oh shit, mage doge!!"

"Huh"

But to their dismay mages aren't usually physically fit. Nor do they train their reaction and senses, they rely more on their skills which tends to be the main reason for their deaths. Just like Edgar predicted the rock fell through the ceiling. Squeezing The mage into a pile of flesh, the blood and organs of an unlucky fool, went over the walls and some team members. Their priest, after being covered by blood, was too shocked to notice a fireball flying toward him. Not long after an explosion occurred sending their supporters flying back, where Izbor, with his sharpened crystal, was patiently waiting for the opening.

"Shit my head, Huh, no…NO…Captain He-ee…"

Izbor remembered Edgar mentioning not to play with his prey and without hesitation shoved a crystal in supporters through before using his nails to squirt out humans eyes. Izbor quickly jumped up and used his leg power and hoofs to dent the supporter's chest. While Izbor was doing his work Riku came out of his hiding place and using his front legs gushed the archer's neck before jumping back into the tunnel. Just like that, in under ten seconds, four more members died. By the time Captain realized what happened his back line was killed.

"This… can't be true…" Mumbled Drake before trying to reach for the archer, only for a rock to fly at the back of his head. the moment he fell down his helmet came off, he tried to get up only for another rock to fall on his head. Margan kept throwing them until he could see that the big guy was no longer moving.

"What…*haaa, haaa* hepp--e-ndd…*haaa,haaa* backk there." Said tank weakly before turning back. He was too focused on monsters in front to notice what happened to his team.

"You're kidding right." The shock must have given him some adrenaline giving him a short burst of strength to say that. Before suddenly his leg was pulled underground, again. but this time instead of focusing just on the leg, Edgar jumped out and bit his neck. using his skill to snap it. *crunch* and just like that six out of seven had died only one was left

Only one man was standing, with a white whistle dangling on his neck and a spear in his arm. He looked at the monster who killed all his party.

Captain of the human party…

No. He was Captain no more

Just a simple man

Pissed off, man.
