168. Three Places

Anderson went to a small cupboard in his kitchen. He should have been sleeping a long time ago. His body was too tired. However, he still wasn't sleepy either. His mind was too full of things.

The man looked around slightly, then opened the cupboard. He took a small packet of gummy candy from there. Eating sweet foods at that time was not healthy, but he was confused about what to do to divert his mind. He doesn't drink or smoke.

Sitting on one of the chairs in the dining room, he unwrapped the candy and ate one of its contents. The chewy and sweet sensation of the strawberry flavour that he loved so much immediately filled his mouth.

He then opened the chat application on his cellphone. He asked if he could make a call to someone who used to be his partner in the police and was now in a reasonably high position.

After getting the answer yes, he immediately called the person. "Hi, Charles! How are you? Sorry to interrupt this late at night."
