169. Bonfire on the Distance

The journey of the four people continued in silence. No one spoke of the events of the war at the edge of the valley or of the bloody figures who met Tristan.

Evan didn't know how his best friend was feeling right now. He's still trying to deal with his own problems, with the image of Kara killing Mimi. Yes, again, he knew Kara did that to save him, but Mimi's death still lingered in Evan's head.

Evan looked up. The sky was getting dark, though no sun had set. He stopped in his tracks and looked at his travelling companions, who were following him.

"We should make a bonfire and rest." Evan suggested.

Although no one answered, they all stopped walking. Tristan put down the sack he was carrying, then took out a few pieces of wood and a pair of stones usually used to light a fire.
