Nele’s Letter

Randy used all his strength and raised his head to look at Marcus in surprise.

"You..."

He couldn't understand how this young man named Marcus could be so powerful!

"I was careless..."

Marcus slowly walked over and said calmly, "No, you weren't careless. It's just your strength."

After Randy heard this, he helplessly closed his eyes.

His body suddenly fell down, and he died and went to heaven.

No, it might not be heaven...

After Marcus confirmed that Randy was dead, he turned around and looked at the two seniors.

He saw the two elders supporting each other as they walked toward Marcus.

"Seniors," Marcus bowed and said to them respectfully, "Thank you for your guidance. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to use this kind of magic to defeat Randy."

Senior Gauss exhaled and said to Marcus, "I don't deserve it. Marcus, you are talented and intelligent. We just gave you our insights. This has nothing to do with us."

Senior Jed silently looked at Randy's body. "Sigh… If we took him under our tutelage, things might not have come to this. A lot of innocent lives would have been saved—"

"No." Marcus shook his head upon hearing that. "According to his character, how could he choose to hide in the forest after successfully learning what you taught him and taking revenge? He would definitely seek stronger magic. Human desire is like a rock on the peak of a mountain. Once it falls, it can never be stopped."

The two seniors nodded and said, "You are right. But, don't you also have desires?"

"Of course." Marcus laughed and said, "You should have them too. It's just that everyone's desires are different."

After conversing for a bit, the police arrived. Marcus indicated that he only needed to say his name. The reward for eliminating evil would be used to restore the temple.

Following that, Marcus bade them farewell.

At Ivy League Academy, in Marcus' dormitory...

"Marcus!" Durant knocked on Marcus' dormitory door.

"Why are you here? Please come in." Marcus was a little surprised by Durant's arrival.

"Hehe, guess what I brought for you?"

Durant's air of mystery attracted Marcus' interest.

"What did you bring for me? Could it be another girl's photo or information?"

"Sigh... Your guess almost hit bull's eye."

Durant handed Marcus a letter before taking a bag of gold coins out of his pocket.

"This is?" Marcus checked the letter and discovered that the sender was surprisingly Nele.

"Why did she write a letter?"

Marcus opened the letter and read it.

The gist of the letter was as such:

Nele's family was dreadfully regretful for behaving arrogant and impolite toward Marcus and Durant's family.

They gave 10,000 gold coins as compensation.

From now on, Marcus and Durant's family would have a seat in the Anderson family's pharmaceutical business.

Nele also knew that she was not worthy of Marcus, and she just hoped that Marcus would not pursue the matter from before.

"Hehe!" Marcus frowned and turned to tell Durant, "What do you make of this?"

do you think is the cause of this matter?"

Could it be that he had done something outrageous to Nele back then?

That was impossible. Marcus had never hit a woman.

So, this matter...

"It's all thanks to you, Marcus!" Durant slapped him on the shoulder.

Marcus was a little surprised. "Eh? Thanks to me?"

"Your potions!" remarked Durant. "It's your potions and your golems, to be exact. We achieved mass-producing them!

"Good gracious, our potion store had only advertised for a few days. When we opened our doors, there were quite a lot of people waiting outside. You're very powerful, Marcus!"

"Is that so?" Marcus chuckled and said, "I'm not that strong, right? You must be exaggerating, a little too much."

"That's because you haven't witnessed it yourself. I'll definitely take you to see it during the holidays," Durant said excitedly. "This time, our transformation was very successful. We even overstocked some of the old potion shops. From now on, Black Mountain City will be under our Leicester family's control!"

"That's great."

After Marcus received the big bag of money, 90,000 credits were also deposited to his student card. He only felt that his wallet had suddenly swollen up again,

Since there was nothing much to say, Durant gave Marcus some blessings on his cultivation path and life before leaving.

"System!"

Marcus was looking forward to whether his strength had reached a new level.
