Light Blue Eyes

The lingering moon hung in the night sky like a hook, and the Jackdaws cried a mournful tune.

The broken lights inside the room flickered along with the flames. On the palms of the man who stood last among the group of men were flaming hot fire. With his exceptional movements, he passed through the medium made by plants between the boy and him while burning the plants which were trying to penetrate him just like it did to his subordinates.

A vein from his head started to stick out as he tried. One of his hands placed in the back, the other in front, he walked forward.

When he arrived near the boy, the boy didn't react. The man just thought this boy must be astonished by his power.

He didn't really know who was the real culprit that killed his subordinate. It was that the only person he saw in the room by the time he came in was this short figure. The boy wore full black clothes and was also suspiciously covering half of his face only letting the color of his eyes to be seen through.

The man made his flames ignite more strongly before he threw it to the boy. It passed through, burning the strong thick veins of green plants and set the boy on fire. The man stopped defending since he felt there won't be any more veins coming to him.

He enjoyed the scene of the short figure being burned. The plants surrounded the boy as if it was helping the fire to die down but it made the situation worse.

"Don't mess with the black eagle gang you little brat! The man mocked the boy's sufferings.

All his dead subordinates on the floor were not as strong as him. It was now sure that they lost to a kid after he thought back about how strong and thick his plants were.

Suddenly, the burning figure disappeared, it turned into ashes in front of him. The man was startled, his flame never burned people this fast before? He couldn't think more not because he didn't want to but because he felt the pain of being stabbed, not in one place but in several.

His eyes widened and blood flowed from his mouth. The normal red color turned into black as the blood flowed. It indicated that the plants which stabbed him were poisoned. How? He clearly saw the boy died. He tried to use his flames to burn the plants penetrating his body but it was too late. It has damaged his core.

From a corner of the room, the sound of chuckling came out. It slowly became louder and louder, arriving near his position. In the midst of dizziness from being poisoned, the man tried hard to find the owner of the voice.

The area seen in his eyes cracked, it revealed the same boy he burned. The man bit his lips out of anger. He was tricked. He didn't think of the possibility of the boy possessing two elements.

There was a slight difference between the two boys. The one he burned didn't feel human to him anymore after he realized the second element the boy had. It must have been an illusion created by him.

He couldn't hold on to his life any longer. His eyes slowly closed. The last thing he noticed about the figure in front of him was his cold light blue eyes staring at him as if waiting for his death.

The last light inside the room completely went off.

In a dark room, there were only two sources of light left. One was the moonlight passing through the window and the other was the ball of light floating in the air inside the room. There was a thick smell of blood combined with a sharp smell of poison lingering inside.

Stood beside the ball of light was a figure, completely motionless, the clearly visible area being a pair of light blue eyes. After a second, he breathed in the air containing the smell. It satisfied him. A sense of accomplishment rose within him.

Under his shoes were two big leaves acting as a cover so as not to get bloodstained on them. With every step he took; giant leaves just like flowers had bloomed came out of thin air for him to walk on it.

When he reached near the entrance of the room, shadows came out swallowing into the space where First was watching his performance.

The leaves from before along with the other plants penetrating in the group of men on the floor turned smaller and smaller till it left no trace of the boy except the dead bodies.

"Splendid!", First softly clapped along with his praise.

Indeed splendid. Who on earth trained this boy? Of course, it was him! Even if he didn't his young master would have done something that will certainly impress him. After all, he's basically the master's son. It hadn't barely been a year since he got plant elements in his core.

The boy smirked at First's remark. His pride went up every time he heard it. It would be great if his dad could be more like First. He wasn't even surprised about him being compatible with two elements. It was as if he already knew.

The scenery seen from inside the shadow changed. The boy realized that they were going back.
