26. A Letter From Raymond

Victoria chuckled softly as she knit her brows. "Come on. We are friends. A friend may ask his friend's job, right?"

"I am a programmer," Raymond finally replied.

"Cool. You must be very rich."

"Not bad, but I can't show other people that I have that much money. I don't want people to notice me. The important thing is I can eat enough every day and have a house to shelter in. That's enough for me."

"East Coconut, right?" Victoria nodded slowly. "The houses there look very luxurious. I've been going to the house of my mother's patient there."

Raymond turned to her. "Oh, yeah? Is your mother a doctor?"

"Ye. She was a surgeon while I was a stupid kid who did not do well in school and ended up being a waiter at a cafe."

"I can't believe that you are stupid. You count your every move as you fight those thugs," Raymond said enthusiastically.

"Ray, please, forget about that incident, okay? I don't know how I can do that."

"You have a superpower that you are not aware of. I know that you are someone special. If I had that superpower, I would like to be able to defeat enemies and monsters."

Victoria chuckled. "There's no monster in this world, Ray."

"We never know. I've always felt that other creatures coexist with our world, it's just that we've never seen it," said Raymond seriously.

Victoria had seen one of them before, but Baron had disappeared and never returned. Maybe Baron was just in her imagination and he never existed in the real world.

Then what about that kiss? Was it all just hallucinations?

The day before, she had seen two strange people, one of whom was similar to Baron, but then they quickly disappeared. She also dreamed that someone was reading her diary book. She woke up and instead met a spider.

Victoria hates spiders very much. Maybe she has a spider phobia. During this time, she had learned to face his fear of spiders. Thank goodness she thought quickly about hitting the spider.

Various strange events occurred in his life during these few days. Even though she just wants to live a normal life. If Baron was just a hallucination, maybe she should open her heart to Raymond.

Indeed, Raymond was handsome, although not as handsome as Baron. Raymond looked real in her eyes. Everyone could see him. Courtney and Mariah even supported her to date him.

However, Victoria will give them a little time to get to know each other. She thought that was fair enough.

When they reached the front of Victoria's house, Raymond rested his hands on the railing and sighed.

"Thank you for allowing me to take you home," he said.

Victoria smiled. "I should be grateful that you bought me an orange juice and drove me home."

"I'll see you again tomorrow," Raymond promised her with a sweet smile.

"OK."

Raymond walked toward her and kissed her once on the cheek. Once again, the sweet smile raised on his face. Victoria gasped and unconsciously touched her flushed cheek.

"I respect your decision to make us just be friends first. I will make you fall in love with me."

"You're too confident."

Raymond chuckled. "No problem. I'm used to living with something difficult. You are the one that is difficult for me to get."

"Good luck then," said Victoria.

"Okay. Come inside. Goodbye, Vicky." Raymond waved his hand.

"Bye." Victoria opened the fence and then entered her house.

Raymond's kiss on her cheek had weakened Victoria. All her life she had been alone and if she had accepted Raymond right away, maybe they had kissed and held hands together.

Victoria threw herself on the sofa. She is alone in her house. Her mother texted her saying that her mother had an appendectomy tonight.

She removed the cardigan, then opened her bag to take out Raymond's flash disc. What exactly is in this flash disc?

Victoria walked into her room and put the flash disc on the table. She took off her clothes and took a shower. Suddenly she remembered Baron's kiss on her lips again. Instantly his lower body tingled.

She touched her body and suddenly felt arousal. She was shocked. And then, she turned off the tap water and took a towel to dried herself.

Wrapped in a towel, she walked into her room and turned on the laptop. Victoria took her favorite bunny pajamas and then got dressed. After that, she inserted the flash disk into the laptop.

She sat at her desk and clicked the screen with the touchpad. She frowned when she saw the folder containing photos of herself when she worked at the café.

All this time, Raymond was taking photos of her secretly. That's very impolite. Victoria wanted to be angry, but she stopped her mind when she saw that the picture was quite good.

In one of the photos, there is a face of her smiling at a customer. Her hair seemed to glow golden yellow in the sunlight. The photo looks like a painting on display in the room.

In other words, she looks beautiful in the photo. Raymond admired her from afar. Should she be happy or afraid? Raymond isn't a psychopath, is he? She had better watch out for him from now on unless she allowed herself to fall in love with Raymond.

Then there is a photo of the letter. Victoria clicked it.

"If you have opened this flash disc, I hope you will read this letter. I'm sorry I took your photo without permission. I've always watched you from afar. Since the first time I saw you, I have fallen in love with you. Too bad, I don't have the guts to approach you. Until finally I entered the café and you greeted me.

"I thought I had lost my mind for daring to speak directly to you. Besides, you came to save my life. I have to admit that my feelings for you are getting deeper.

"For the past few days, I have been thinking about you continuously. Then what happens if I confess my love for you? Hopefully, you are not surprised and even hate me. I am just a lonely man who is always looking forward to your love. With love, Raymond. "

Victoria chuckled, frowning. "What is this?"

Then there is another folder. She clicked on the folder and a message appeared on the screen asking for a password. Maybe this is the program, thought Victoria.

She turned off the laptop and then put the flash drive in her cupboard drawer. She was going down to the kitchen looking for food when she heard a voice coming behind the door leading to the garage.

Victoria stopped in her tracks and paused to listen more carefully.
