Chapter 73

When he walked out of the Palace of Purity, Li Ze didn't intend to go to his residence palace. Instead, he often found comfort sleeping in his concubine mother's former place. It was his concubine mother's personal courtyard that his imperial father had bestowed on her after being pregnant.

Li Ze walked slowly, deep in thought. But his steps didn't falter and some royal servants bowed towards him as respect when they encountered him midway on his journey.

Li Ze soon saw the building not too far away.

The courtyard was by far the largest in the whole palace's history. This was because the emperor had greatly favored Li Ze's concubine mother so much because she was pregnant with his first child back then.

The emperor didn't allow for anyone to spoil this courtyard and remove it as a form of remembrance. Later, when Li Ze asked for permission to reside there, he allowed it.
