Only you

"I'll be right back. I wanna get myself a quick cup of coffee." Taylor says to me on our way to Jaxon's room.

"But you're only fifteen."

She smiles slyly at me. "They don't have to know."

"Taylor!"

"Fine." She rolls her eyes. "I'll get a can of soda." She says and walks off the opposite direction.

I shake my head and continue walking to Jaxon's room.

When I got to the front of his room, I couldn't help but hover around the door to his room.

I was both excited and anxious to see him.

I don't know if he has changed his mind about dating after finding out he needs to lay off football, or he just wants to see how I'm coping.

I sigh for the hundredth time that evening and take a deep breath.

I counted one to three in my head before finding the courage to open the door and walk in.

"Mom I'm fine!" Jaxon groans.

They didn't notice when I walked in.

"You are not. You're my baby who needs resting."
