A night to remember

After a couple of days in the hospital with Jaxon, it's was new year's Eve. 

Of course we were both bumped about the idea of spending new year in the hospital, but it was a situation we couldn't control.

"This isn't how I planned we spend the new year." Jaxon mutters as he stares at his room window, watching the snow fall.

"At least we are spending it together." I say, trying to light up the mood.

He turns to me. "This isn't how I expected we spend our new year together." He completes and looks back at the window. 

He really looked bumped about the whole thing so an idea popped in my head.

I checked the time on my watch and it was still forty minutes before midnight.

"I'll be right back." I say to him and stand up from the chair.

"Don't be too long." He says, still looking at the falling snow.

I walk out of his room and went to meet the head nurse.

"Hey there." I greet her with a smile when I reach her desk.
