Recruiting 1

2 pods slowly opened their hatches in the underground pod facility.

Shaun slowly opened his eyes, adjusting himself to the real world.

As his eyes slowly adjusted his mind was working at 1 million miles per second, still trying to comprehend what he had happened.

He had really come back in time.

He knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and had to make the most of it.

Soon after he and Dan left the facility with the lead of the robot. They did not exchange any conversation, instead they were thinking about their future ahead and about all the information they were told..

They both understood that they will have to rethink their current plans their competitors were not ones they should take lightly.

And due to the addition of a previously unknown factor they now had to provide their guild with the resources to survive without them.

Well... not completely without them but they would not be allowed ack into that trial world again so they needed to set the foundation of the guild there early.

'2 months, huh' Shaun thought to himself.

If they did not do this right, the resources for their guild would be extremely poor. Even if they provided the necessary info, it would not feasible to rely on the guild members to do everything correctly.

This caused them to need to plan a road map, a guideline, that they based all future decisions on.

An most importantly.

Talents.

As Dan and Shaun walked out of the the doors of Heavens Tower, thy couldn't help but look back and appreciate it in its full splendour.

Once they finished, they scurried away from the building quickly, stretching there arms in the process.

They had allowed Era to take out some blood from their arms. They thought that it was only going to be a syringe full but took a 1 whole litre. They did not want to get on Era's bad side but 1 litre was too much blood to lose for a game character.

They felt a little light headed and weak so they decided to not waste time talking and admiring the New York views that they had come to know and love.

=====

Once Shaun and Dan got back to their university, they immediately crashed. Recuperating from that hell of an experience.

But what they forgot was-

[RING RING RING. Please wake up for school. It is currently 7:00] the Touchless spoke in both Shaun and Dan's head at the same time.

-They were in university.

Shaun and Dan, after being woken up in such an unruly manner really wanted to rip the touchless out of their brains.

"I guess we have our courses today. *SIGH* let's get them over with." Dan said dejectedly. He had already accepted his fate.

"Dan," Shaun said, his tone releasing a heavy pressure

"Yeah," Dan said in a depressed tone, not even feeling the pressure in his voice.

"Do you really think we have to go to school with our resources," Shaun questioned

Dan," -_-lll ."

"I am so very sorry, master of knowledge, TranquilStorm!" Dan bowed with reverence, causing both of them to laugh, " Though, there might be one reason for us to go to courses today" Dan said mysteriously.

"Now what would that be," Shaun said, following the breadcrumbs known as hints that Dan had left for him to follow.

Professor McConville, also known as Robert to his friends, was not a very lucky guy. He had a knack for business, but did not have the assets to start one.

He had tried being under another company, but that did not work out as after 20 years he hadn't received a single promotion, causing him to lose his prime time in his youth.

He then went on to quit, and started scurrying around the world spending all money he had inherited from his late parents and the money he had earned which was not very much comparing to the average salary of others his age.

These trips were not for leisure, instead he was looking for more ways to earn money easily and efficiently without making many losses.

He flew to Japan and took an expensive apprenticeship under a tech giant at the time.

(AN: Please bear in mind that this world is not based on real historic events and technological trees so some things may not make factual sense but this world has a mildly different history than to ours.)

He learnt about how they got the materials to build there products, the living conditions of their workers etc but he was shocked.

Poor facilities, no rest until they collapse due to build up of fatigue.

Merciless.

He flew to China to understand how so many products are made in so little time.

Hard living conditions, cheap facilities, no contact with family and press

Ruthless.

He travelled to Greece, expecting it to be more pleasant but he still got a whiff of the same dirty and retched smell of corruption and ruthlessness.

He travelled to many peaceful and war stricken countries but he still got a whiff of the same conditions everywhere.

His last stop was Russia.

He settled their in a homeless shelter for ten years, gaining the language and gaining connections and information from the bottom rungs of society

He adapted his lifestyle to be un-noticeable but prominent. He did not get arrogant but he did not take insults lying down.

He was a ghost in the underworld of Russia only learning, never doing anything. By the time he had learnt everything he could from you his tracks would be gone.

What he learnt changed his perspective on business in a hole.

Be cutthroat and merciless and reap every reward.

He learnt every dirty trick in the book, all his foundations in business were scrapped and set again with new ones.

Though he never really got to put that into practice because of the restriction of laws and whatnot in this business metropolis.

By the time he returned from his world trip, he was already 70.

Though he could of made a secure life in Russia, he did not, he wanted to go back to his roots and experience the joy of naivete once again, so he did.

He did not believe that his life of danger would be good for his health in the long run anyway.

He got a small job as a university professor, teaching business. He fond joy in preserving the innocence in these youngsters and tried his best to shield them from the true hard cold and merciless world that was life.

Recently after Era came to the world and healthcare services drastically improved, the average human lifespan increased to an average of 139.

Even with the increase in lifespan he did not desire to start a business.

That was until that faithful day.

What was supposed to be an Ordinary day, completely change his life's trajectory due to these two factors.

Two students

Two under achieving students.

Shaun and Dan.
