Shaun and Dan walked into Professor McConville's classroom with all books at hand.
They were giddy, two men on a mission.
Dan had heard about how Robert had flown all around the world and gained insights of business and was really inspired by it. But due to old age his potential was wasted.
But because of Limitless' ability to slow time down by 2 times he knew the Old man Robert would be able to a) live longer and b) Put all that experience to good use.
Yes, they wanted to recruit the old man.
Though they did not know what that experience entailed, they knew he had a great temperament, and they would not lose anything if they recruited him.
They sat down at the front of the auditorium, intensely staring at the Professor.
The professor, though old, still had his sixth sense for business.
He did not even need to be asked, he locked the double doors and pulled down the blinds to prevent anyone from peeking into the room.
He then walked to Dan and Shaun, who were mildly freaked out at the dramatic turn of events. But they held their ground, still looking at the old man with the same intense gaze.
Once the old man pulled up a chair and sat next to them, he asked,
"What business do you want with me?" His gaze abruptly turned cold. He knew that if he did not make it clear that he was no pushover, he would be trampled upon.
Dan and Shaun were surprised at this side of their usually cheery Business professor,
"Uh- um well we..." Dan stumbled over his words like a child. He had never faced a gaze so cold.
"We want you." Shaun bluntly said. He knew this gaze very well. He had faced countless gazes like this. This cold gaze was not meant to be very violent, but professional.
Professor McConville was very surprised at that answer.
'Two little boys had suddenly wanted this old man!'. He nearly laughed his head off.
Without waiting for his input, Shaun continued, "We have recently come across an opportunity, this opportunity can double your lifespan, and it can put your experience to good use.
If you agree to the contract that your touchless is about to send to you, we can tell you about this in greater detail.
Soon enough after mulling over his options, the professor accepted the excact same brutal contact Shaun and Dan had to sign. With the approval of the touchless, Shaun told the old man about Limitless, though leaving out anything to do with the main continent.
He did not want rumours of the main continent to leak into the world, as it would be detrimental for the others that were allowed to go there and it would put their family at risk.
"Ok, I think this will be a worthwhile investment, but what do you exactly want me to do inside the game." Professor McConville pondered. He smelled a big return from this and he was itching to use his dormant knowledge.
"Now, the reason that I want you is because of your experience in business. I do not know how to start up a business but I know you do. We want you to help us start our organisation in Limitless, though we would like to know what your experiences in business are." Dan, after regaining his composure, calmly told the Professor.
"Ok, but don't blame me for all the nightmares you might have hehe" The Professor said, in a icily calm voice.
He went over what he had learned over the years in scary detail, almost making Dan scream.
They new they had just played with fire and were about to get burnt!
"Ok... , you can help us, but not in the original way. We will take over the in game main guild but you will take over a 1st tier Vassal guild. You will be like our mafia, our eyes underground. I think you are more suited to that..." Dan nervously said.
He felt to nervous to properly talk to his Professor now that he understood his experiences.
"That will be fine, but is there going to be a skeleton for my chain of command I need to make sure my guild follows or do I just do make it myself?" The old man was very excited, drunk on the power he did not have yet!
"Yes, there will be, but we have to iron out the details first. You may choose some guild members that you know in the real world but make sure they are trustworthy. They will be allowed to play when the public is allowed to. Don't tell them about Limitless until then. We will give you some information some point from now until the designated day, for now figure out the name of your guild and the insignia.
Oh, yes I nearly forgot. Let me tell you about your salary. $100,000 a month. This will be the same for all the other 1st tier Vassal guild leaders. We will sign a contract officially once we've gathered everyone and ironed out the details then. That should be it!" Shaun said. They had already made a plan for the chain of command for their guild as they would not be able to do everything with one guild anyway.
They had decided to grade there guild like so:
Main guild
5 1st tier Vassal guilds
15 2nd tier Vassal Guilds
30 3rd tier Vassal guilds.
The first tiers Vassal guild would get 5 2nd tier vassal guilds under and the second tier Vassal guilds would get 2 third tier Vassal guilds under them.
They needed to think of better names for them but for just the rough sketch it was fine.
At the moment they were only going to implement the 1st tier but once they got more resources and power they would slowly add more guilds to their arsenal.
Once the business deals were over, it turned out it had been an hour, they shook hands in agreement and proceeded to walk to their original seats whilst the professor opened the blinds.
