The following Saturday morning Diane was in the kitchen baking cupcakes when the buzzer rang. She asks who it was and found out it was her sisters Diana and Dana. She opened the gate then went to the front door to wait for them. On reaching the door they greet her and she hugs Dana a bit longer before they all went into the kitchen. "How are you?" Diane asks as Dana sat at the counter. "I am okay, single, but okay, I still can't believe he did that, I sure know how to pick them." She said sadly.
"This wasn't your fault, that's what happens when the fathers for our children walk away from their responsibility, we end up with all kinds of perverts," Diane said angrily. "Except for Gabriel, he's one of a kind. How did you get him to forgive you for judging him like that?" Dana asks.
"I have my ways but he's so in love with me he can't stay angry at me for long and he said that the Bible says not to let the sun go down on your wrath so he made the choice to forgive me and let it go," Diane says with a proud smile.
"I hope you realize what a good man you have," Diana said putting a handful of peanuts in her mouth. "I do, trust me, I do." "So how's the pregnancy going?" Diana asks. "Okay so far I'm getting big but I'm alright." "Where's Gabriel?" Diana asks. "He's probably at church right now handing out the bags and he has a half-hour teaching session afterward not to mention he also have two meetings with his bus drivers today so I think he's going to be pretty busy for the rest of the day."
"So are you still worried that he will cheat on you?" Dana asks. "Well for the moment no, he says that he would never do anything to hurt me so I guess I'll just have to trust him." Diane shrugged. "Okay, I also remember you telling me that your clothes can't fit you anymore so I was thinking that we could do some shopping today," Dana adds. "Help me get my mind off things." She said twisting her fingers.
"But Gabriel doesn't want me to drive," Diane pouting her lips. "Well," Diana said pulling something from her handbag. "Thanks to your hot body Italian/ Greek husband I now have my driver's license." She said waving it around in front of them. 'You got your license, that's great!" Diane exclaimed happily. "Yes it is, so all you have to do is hand me the keys and point me in the right direction." She smiles mischievously.
"Okay, but I think I should call Gabriel first and ask him if it's okay for you to drive his vehicle." Diane took up her cell from the table and dialed Gabriel's number. He answered on the second ring. "Hi, baby boy." "Hi, beautiful are you okay?" "I'm fine, I'm sorry to disturb you but Diana and Dana are here and they want to take me shopping but you don't want me to drive, so I was wondering if Diana could drive your Escalade." "She got her license? That's great and of course, she can and for the record don't ever think that you're disturbing me; I'll always be available for you any time you need me and another thing; those vehicles are not mine anymore they're ours now okay baby." "Okay baby boy, I love you." "I love you more; be safe and remember; call me if you need me." "I'll baby, bye."
Diane ends the call and turns to her sisters with a bright smile. "He said it's okay. "Great," Dana clasps her hands together. "Grab your bag and let's go, where's Jasmine?" Dana asks and went off to find Jasmine and Diane went to get her handbag. Diane was just leaving her bedroom when Jasmine came running up to her.
"Mummy can I please take Lily with me?" "Oh dear, do we really have to?" Diane asks making a funny face. "Please mummy." "Okay fine, but please put her in the dog carrier that daddy bought." "Thank you, mummy." She shrieks as she ran back into her room to get the dog carrier. "We also need to get you some very nice church clothes; you need to look good besides that husband of yours because that guy sure knows how to dress," Dana suggests as they walk back downstairs.
Half an hour later they left the house and Diana turn to Diane as she drives through the gate and Diane closed it back behind them. "I noticed that the three vehicles are still there, did Gabriel take a ride with his friends?" "No, he's riding his newly reform bike today." "Oh my; a hot Italian stud muffin on a big black bike is it hot in here or is it just me?" Diana asks dreamily fanning herself. "Trust me it's just you, now get your mind off my husband and concentrate on where you're going." Diane rolled her eyes and shakes her head at her sister.
"Hey, we're all done here so I'm going to head out," Justin said patting Gabriel on his shoulder as he walks by. He had just finished his thirty minutes teaching session and he was about to head over to the Auto shop for his first meeting. Justin was almost to his car when Gabriel stops him.
"Hey wait up a minute; I need to talk to you about something," Gabriel said catching up to him. 'Alright now I know that you've been spending time with Alex; helping him in his transition from a sinner to a saint and I don't mind that at all but do me a favor and keep me out of your conversations okay." Gabriel said.
"I don't understand," Justin said sounding confused. "I know you've been telling Alex things about me like the note in Diane's bag, me buying the hotel, and about my morning sickness among other things." "Oh yeah sorry," Justin said in a nervous tone. "Thing is Alex and I will never be as close as we were before and I'm still been watched by the police because of him. I never thought that a day would come when I couldn't talk to Alex about my life but it is what it is.' Gabriel said with a sigh.
Sorry I didn't mean to upset you." Justin said scratching the back of his head. "I'm not upset, I still care about Alex; that's why I continue to help him out but as much as I care I still have to be cautious; know what I mean?" "Yeah I do, it won't happen again promise."
"Alright, then so where are you going anyway?" Gabriel asks raising his brow. "To meet my girl of course." "Things going well?" Gabriel asks. "O yeah very well; see you later dude." He laughs and opens his car door.
That Sunday like all the Sundays since he had found the note in Diane's bag he watched her handbag. When it was lunchtime for Jasmine she went outside to keep Jasmine's company while the child ate her lunch. A few minutes later Gabriel saw when Brother Michael went and sat down beside Diane's bag. He borrowed a pen from the girl that sat next to Diane and pretends to be asking her something as not to draw attention to himself as he slipped a note in the pocket of Diane's bag, then getting up he went back to his seat.
Gabriel smiled to himself; he finally had his answer. After church Gabriel went looking for Brother Michael but couldn't find him but while on his way to his vehicle Gabriel spot him in the parking lot talking on his cell. "Give me a few minutes baby girl I need to speak to Brother Michael before I leave."
He hand her the keys and as he walk towards Brother Michael he could feel the anger boiling inside him. Brother Michael saw him coming and turned to face him. "Well- well- well if it isn't Brother Maxwell, how is married life treating you, man?" Gabriel took a few deep breaths before saying anything.
"You know Brother Michael, it's people like you who make being a true child of God so hard." He began in a cold tone. "Whatever are you talking about?" Michael asks with a goofy grin on his face but when he saw the anger in Gabriel's eyes his smile faded and he took a step back from him.
"I have a very nasty temper Brother Michael and I'm the last person you want to mess with, if you go near my wife's bag again I'm going to report you to the pastor." "Report me to pastor, is he like my father or something?" Michael laughs. Gabriel took a step towards him and Michael took two steps back.
"The way I see it is; I have two choices, I can either report you to the pastor or break your ten fingers, whichever one works better for you, but since the Bible says to love those who hate you, I'm going to give you a bit of advice. If I heard correctly you got baptized long before Diane did, so I'm sure you didn't get baptized just to harass her, so here is the advice." Gabriel folds his fingers in a fist.
"Used this month of prayer to go back to the reason you got baptized in the first place, go back to the day you fell in love with God, rededicate your life to him, mind, body, and soul, and asks yourself this question; is harassing Diane worth your soul? Is spending all your time trying to cause problems between me and my wife going to be worth it in the end? And if the answer is no, then I expect you to stop acting like an ass and be the kind of person that God can be please with and proud to call his child. The choices are yours Brother Michael and for your sake, please make the right one."
Gabriel turned and walked away from him but from the moment he approaches her Diane could tell that something was very wrong. "Are you okay baby? What did Brother Michael do to upset you so much?" Diane asks as he helped her into the vehicle and got Jasmine settled in the back seat and then getting around the steering wheel he pulled out of the parking area and head for home. "Baby please talks to me, what happened?" "Look in the side of your bag," Gabriel said coldly. Diane looks in the pocket and seeing the note pulled it out and read it. It read; thank you for a wonderful evening, from your lover boy. "Did Brother Michael do this?" She asks in shock. "Yes and he was also the one who put the first note there, but trust me, if he knows what's good for him he won't do it again"
