Chapter 15 Helping hands

Diane wrapped the towel around her and stepped from the bathroom, it was now ten am Monday morning, Gabriel had brought her breakfast in bed earlier, they had then prayed before he took Jasmine to school, she had fallen back asleep after he left and had awakened half an hour ago. During the service, last night the pastor had announced that one of their church sister's house had burned down on Saturday.

She and her family had lost everything so they were pleading for help and of course, her husband offered his assistance. A donation was collected which would go towards rebuilding their house and Gabriel's contractor was the one overseeing the project. Last night after they had dinner and had put Jasmine to bed Gabriel had filled two garbage bags with some of his clothes, shoes, sheets, soap, and everything else he could stuff in the bags to donate to the family, he had taken the two bags with him this morning.

She had some things that she wanted to donate as well, so after she finished getting dressed she entered her closet and began taking stuff down. As she went through her things, her mind went back to the night she first saw Gabriel. She didn't know it at the time but when Gabriel walked into that church he had practically walked into her life, he had blond hair at the time and she remembered thinking that he looked like a movie star or one of those guys she usually sees in magazines and from the moment she had looked into his beautiful blue eyes she had fallen in love with him, not that she had ever told him that.

When he had begun courting her he treated her like she was the most precious thing God ever made, at first she thought it was an act and that he was only trying to impress her but then again why would a guy like him want to impress her. Whenever she saw guys like him they usually have tall, slim, model-looking white girls with long beautiful hair and fake boobs on their arms but certainly not girls that looked like her.

Diane stopped in front of the full-length mirror and looked at herself. She was about five feet, five inches tall with dark skin, a good enough shape; well at least she had a curvy figure before she gained all this baby weight, a round chubby face, brown eyes, and braids. Moving away from the mirror she went back to sorting through her things while smiling to herself. Gabriel was always telling her how much he loves her eyes.

Never in her wildest dreams did she ever thought that she would ever meet someone like him and she had convinced herself that after they got married he would stop fussing over her but she couldn't have been more wrong; not only did he gave her a fairy tale wedding but he had treated her like a princess every day after that, buying her expensive gifts for no reason and then even more expensive ones on her birthday, taking her to exotic places every chance he got and showering her with even more attention when mother's day came around, he even went as far as to line their bed with yellow and white roses on that very night.

She took in a deep breath as she remembered their lovemaking that followed. A few years ago she had all but gave up on love and now she was happily married, head over heels in love with her husband and pregnant with twins, and every morning that she woke up she prayed and thank God for all His wonderful blessings.

After she was finished in her closet she went downstairs and took the chicken out of the fridge, it was already seasoned so she put it in the sink to thaw out for a while. Her plan was to make baked chicken and sweet potato salad with vegetables for dinner because Gabriel loves sweet potato salad.

Heading to the fridge again she took out a tin of Supligen put a straw in it and head back upstairs, this time she went into Jasmine's closet and once again began removing some of the things that couldn't fit Jasmine anymore for the family's little girl. Her mind then drifts back to the sensual massage her husband gave her last night, the guy was amazing in bed; she had two orgasms before he actually had sex with her.

The buzzing of the gate drags her reluctantly back to reality. Walking to the intercom outside Jasmine's room she asks who it was, it was Diana and Dana; those two have way too much free time on their hands she thought as she opened the gate for them, then went downstairs to open the front door. Her sisters came inside and closed the door behind them, she hugs them then dragged them upstairs with her "What are you up to?" Dana asks looking at the bags on the floor.

"Before I answer that, how are you?" She asks Dana with concern. "I'm fine," Dana said opening the bag and looking in then frown when she saw the look of concern on Diane's face. "I'm angry and single not sick so stop looking at me as if I'm about to die." Dana snaps. "I'm just glad it came out, the thought of a child molester in my house with my children makes me sick. I think I'll stay single for a while." She snorts.

"So what's up with the bags?" She asks again. "I'm looking for things to donate to one of my church sisters, her house burned down and she and her family lost everything. They are staying with family while Gabriel helps to rebuild their house." Diane said examining a dress she just took down.

"Wow, that's a lot of stuff," Diana said also looking at the bag. "Well, they need them more than we do," Diane said as she put the last of the things in the bag. "So is Gabriel still drinking his Supligen and eggs?" Dana asks looking at the Supligen tin in Diane's hand. "Oh yes, he can't seem to get enough of that disgusting drink, yuck." Diane shivers with a disgusted look on her face as they walk back to her room. "Oh come on, it's not that bad, once I saw him put raw peanuts, oats, and almonds in it," Diana said laughing. "I don't care what he put in it, it's still disgusting." Diane snaps making a face; her sisters then helped her to tidy up; first her room than the rest of the house.

"Okay, that's enough cleaning for today lets go to the kitchen I need to make dinner." Diane head towards the kitchen and her sisters followed her. What are you making?" Dana asks. "I'm making baked chicken, sweet potato salad, and vegetables." "Okay I'll peel the potatoes, Dana you get the chicken, Diane you sit down and do the vegetables," Diana said over her shoulder as she moved towards the potatoes and pots.

"You know Diane I know that Gabriel helps you whenever he can but he has a busy life with his business, church and trying to attend all those events that he has been invited to and it's obvious that you can't manage by yourself anymore because carrying two babies are a lot more difficult than when you're carrying one and that's why Dana and I came up with a plan, we ran it by Doreen and Desreen and they agreed with us," Diana said turning on the stove and putting on the pot. "What kind of plan?" Diane asks "Well we were thinking that since Gabriel doesn't want a stranger working in his house; we could help you with the cleaning, washing, and ironing and also help you with the babies when they are born. How does that sound?" Diana asks.

Diane looks at her sisters in surprise. "You would do that for me?" "Of course we would Diane, do we need to remind you of everything you and Gabriel have done for us and he has made it quite clear that he isn't going to hire anyone because he doesn't trust them, not that I can blame him after what Treesia did," Diana said angrily then sighs heavily. "Since we're not working right now and we're over here almost every day any way why not?" Diana adds returning to the potatoes. "We just want to make things a little easier for you so that you can get the rest you need to bring two healthy babies into this world," Dana adds. "Thank you so much for doing this, I'm very grateful for all your help and I know Gabriel will be grateful too."

Two hours later Gabriel entered the kitchen carrying Jasmine's three bags while she ran and skipped behind him, she ran over to her mother and gave her a big hug and a kiss on her cheek. She then hugs her aunts and began telling them about her day's events. "Mummy I love my new school. They have all kinds of fun things to do. Thank you for signing me up for swimming it loads of fun, I love playing in the water. Tomorrow is tennis and Wednesday is karate, I love tennis and karate they are both fun but I love swimming the most. Daddy bought a burger meal for me so I'm not hungry right now. I'm going to look for lily. (Which is the name of the white Golden Retriever Gabriel had bought for her birthday) , mummy can you please help me with my homework later? "Sure honey." "kk." She said skipping from the kitchen.

Gabriel greets her sisters as Jasmine ran off to play with her dog lily. He then walks over and hugs his wife and kisses her gently on her lips. "How is my baby girl doing?" He asks against her lips. "I'm fine.' He then bends down and kisses her stomach. "Hi little ones, daddy is home, have you been good to mummy today?" He asks rubbing her stomach gently.

"Yes, they were." She said running her fingers through his hair as he kisses her stomach again. "That's good to hear." He smiles resting his cheek against her stomach. "But um…. Baby boy, my sisters and I was talking about the fact that you don't want any stranger working in your house and they want to help me with the housework if it's okay with you?" "Really? That would be wonderful, I would really appreciate your help but why would you want to do this?" He asks standing up. "Why wouldn't we? We're not working right now and we have all this free time on our hands so why not put it to good use and help our little sister." Diana said with a bright smile.

"Awww, you guys; you have no idea how hard I've prayed for a solution to this problem, thank you so much, I'm extremely grateful to both of you for doing this." He said hugging the both of them at once. "We're happy to help, whatever you guys need just ask." Dana smiles dreamily at him. "Okay, when can you guys start?" Gabriel asks with a big smile on his face. "How about right now?" Dana answered as she took Jasmine's three bags off the chair. "I'll go take care of these for you."

After Dana left the kitchen Gabriel turns to Diana. "So how are you planning on making this work?" "Well we will be here every morning from Monday to Friday; let's say from about eight to five. How does that sound?" Diana asks. 'Sounds like you're going to need a ride, so how about taking the Tundra. You can use it for as long as you need."

Diana jumps up and down then hugs Gabriel tightly. "Thank you….. Thank you. We were just thinking of taking the bus back and forth but this is even better and it will save a lot of time." "Then it's settled. Thank you again, I know I already said this but I really appreciate this." " Trust me, the pleasure is all ours," Diana said flashing him a bright smile.

It was nine pm, her sisters had left and Jasmine was asleep, she was relaxing in the hot tub with her husband. "Um, baby girl." "Hmm." "We didn't discuss payment with your sisters; I mean they both have families to feed and bills to pay, surely they can't help us for free." "No, I guess they can't. I guess we could pay them ten thousand dollars per week and supply them with gas, does that sound okay?"

"That sounds great, so tell me something, how are you feeling? Any discomforts?" He asks massaging her belly. "No, I feel fine but sometimes I'm afraid to go down the stairs especially when I'm carrying something in my hands not to mention the fact that I can no longer see my toes." She said massaging his erected rod.

"Then I guess it's time I installed the lift." He moans as he massages her full breasts. "Wait a second you're going to install an elevator?" Diane asks in shock. "Well, technically it's called a lift because it's not as big as those you find in hotels. It has been on my to-do list for a while now but I kept putting it off but I think it's time I get it done, for the safety of my wife and unborn children and my daughter who always think that it's fun to run down marble stairs." He laughs.

Turning around to face him she kissed him passionately. "Thank you so much for doing this for me baby." "Don't you know by now that I would do anything for you?" He whispers against her lips. "I'll call my contractor first thing tomorrow morning so he can get started on it right away."
