Karen sighs heavily as she switches positions for the hundredth time as she tried to get comfortable. Things weren't working out as she had planned. She had tried all of five times already to get inside of Gabriel's house by asking Diane if she could come over for lunch but no; there was always some reason why she couldn't and she couldn't understand why.
What was the big deal anyway; friends have lunch at each other's house all the time so what was the old up; and to make matters worst she had all but burst with excitement when Diane invited her to the guy's reception at no place other than at Gabriel's house.
Finally, she would get inside his house and if she had her way, she wouldn't be coming home tonight either. So with a fresh spring to her step, she dresses to really impress and head out to put her plan in action; she would fake an illness or something to make sure she ended up spending the night then she would find a way to get him in her room; why you would ask.
Well, Diane strikes her as an insecure person and if she could cause a rift between her and Gabriel then her plan would work so much better but again to her dismay no one was allowed inside; she sought out Diane to asks for a tour and she would have gotten one too if it wasn't for her sisters who dragged her off in another direction.
So she swore under her breath and put plan b into action and fake an illness just as Gabriel was saying goodbye to the last of the guests but instead of taking her inside he quickly put her in one of his doctor friend's cars and asks the woman to take her to the hospital and she gladly did.
Before she knew what was happening she was being driven to the hospital and even though she told the stupid woman that she was feeling better the woman still insisted and took her there and after an hour of being prodded and poked they discharged her and told her to go home and get some rest and what do you know the woman was still there and offered her a ride home; great; why not eager miss beaver.
Failed plan again but hey all wasn't lost; after that little display Diane put on earlier at the reception she was right about her being insecure and jealous and now it was up to her to find a way to use that bit of information to her own advantage. Sighing again she reaches across to her bedside table and took up her phone and for the tenth time since she came home, she watched the video of him dancing with his friends.
Diane was awakened the next morning by a strong feeling of shortness of breath, taking shallow breaths she tried to get her breathing back to normal, a few minutes later she swing her legs over the side of the bed and got up; Gabriel wasn't in bed and she wondered where he was; looking at the clock she saw that it was already ten am.
It had taken her almost an hour to give her husband the relief he needed last night or some of the release he needed she thought smiling as she remembered the way he behaved; he was twisting, turning, gripping the sheets, and moaning but what turns her on the most was the way he whispered her name; after freshening up she returns to the bedroom to see Gabriel placing the breakfast tray on the bedside table.
Then she heard the sounds coming from outside, walking to the window she looked down and realized that the cleaners were already there. Moving away from the window she went and sat on the bed beside him and once again his skin was wet. "Hi beautiful; feeling okay?" He asks taking a bite out of an apple. "Yes thank you; how are you feeling?" She asks smiling up at him. "Energized." "Good and how is your….you know?" She asks looking at the front of his sweat pants. "I don't have anything on me by that name but if you're referring to my rod it's a lot better than it was last night."
"That's good to hear; is Jasmine up yet?" "Yes, she's downstairs with my aunt, they're both keeping an eye on the cleaners for me. As he finishes the sentence he brought his lips down over hers in a breath-taking kiss; however, his kiss was cut short by the babies rapid movements. She could feel their little feet under her ribs and it hurt a lot.
He felt her body tense and pulls away from her. "What's wrong baby?" He asks in concern. "Get me one of those big pillows please." He put the pillow behind her and Diane leaned back on it but that didn't stop the discomfort than to make matters worst her shortness of breath was back. A feeling of panic came over her as she fights to catch her breath. "I can't breathe…baby boy I can't...breathe…..it hurts…baby….it hurts very bad." She stammers as sweat beads on her forehead
He remembered the technique the doctor showed him for her shortness of breath; she also showed him how to relax the babies whenever they get fussy. He opened her robe and began gently massaging her stomach while softly singing to the babies. "I need you to take deep breaths, baby girl." He said softly.
Closing her eyes she listens to the soft sound of his voice and within a few minutes the babies movements gradually slowed down and she was able to sit up, she smiled at him as she takes a deep relaxing breath. "Thank you baby boy; I feel a lot better now." "Ready for breakfast?" He asks. "Yes thank you." She sat in a comfortable position on the bed as Gabriel put the breakfast tray in front of her and sat beside her while she ate.
"Remember the doctor says that you're going to feel out of breath every once in a while but even if I'm not here with you, you've to remember to take deep breaths; the key to getting the babies to relax is by taking deep breaths, now I know it's a lot easier said than done but promise me you'll try okay." "I promise I will." She said with a big smile; she then put a piece of sausage between her teeth and offers it to him which he accepts without hesitation while kissing her passionately.
"I need you to stay right here, I've to go downstairs and check on the cleaners, but I'll be right back." "Okay." Gabriel was only gone for a few minutes when her cell rang, it was Desreen. "Hi, sis." "Hi, Diane is everything alright between you and your husband?"
"Yes he gave me breakfast in bed, but I think he's still horny because he won't stop kissing and touching me." She giggled. "So what did he say about last night?" Desreen asks eagerly. "Well, the only thing he said was that he forgave me." "Good, that's great, so did you get a chance to look at the papers in his pocket?" "Oh damn, I felt so bad about what I did to him, I didn't even remember to look."
"So where is he now?" Desreen asks. "He's downstairs checking on the cleaners." "So what are you waiting for? Go look at them now and call me back." Desreen urged her. "You don't have to tell me twice, I'll call you back in a few minutes."
She had just swung her legs over the side of the bed when he walks into the room and closing the door behind him he walks towards her. "Didn't I tell you not to move?" He asks pulling her into his arms and kissing her gently on her nose and cheeks. "That's from your daughter." He whispers against her lip and this is from me." Lowering his lips he covers hers with his in a deep passionate French kiss.
Laying her on the bed he opened her robe then her legs and positioned himself on his knees between them while massaging her private area. Diane moves her waist in rhythm with his hand. "That feels so good baby boy." She moans. "I want to ask you something." "Okay," She whispers while moaning and moving against his fingers. "What in the world possessed you to do what you did to me last night?"
"My stupid jealousy….that's what." One of his brows raised in surprise. "Jealousy? Come on baby, you didn't have to be jealous, don't you know by now that you're the only girl for me?" He asks in a soft tone while biting his lips. A soft gasp escaped her lips as he enters her with a gentle thrust.
"So you set my blood boiling because you were jealous? You are so crazy." He chuckles softly. "I'm sorry baby boy….. I ….I…I saw two little girls put four pieces of papers in your hands, you were….oh yes that feels good baby; so good." She purred. "You were about to read them but got distracted by….. Your friends, so I came over there and….." the sweet ecstasy coursing through her body prevents her from finishing her sentence, so he finishes it for her.
"You came over there and woke up a beast that has been sleeping for weeks." He stated. "I'm sorry…..I …. I didn't mean to do that." He settled into a steady back and forth rhythm which was slowly driving her out of her mind with ecstasy.
They made love for half an hour, after which they went and took a shower together. They were in the process of getting dressed when a question suddenly came to him. "So um...What exactly was written on those papers anyway?" Diane made a funny face before answering. "I don't know, they're still in your pocket." She pouts as he shakes his head and went into the bathroom and came back with his pants, which he gave to her.
She took the pants and pushing her hand into the pocket, took out the papers. She opened them one by one and read them. "Just as I thought they were numbers and messages from girls asking you to call them." She said in disgust. "Well seeing as though you're the only woman I need, you can destroy those." His phone rang and he answered it.
A few minutes later he ended the call and turn to her. "The cleaners are finished." "Okay, you go I'll be down in a few minutes." "I love you." He whispers against her lips. "I love you more baby boy."
Diane was straightening the sheets on the bed when her phone rang, it was Desreen again. "Hi, Desreen." She answered in a cheerful tone. "Don't you hi Desreen me, that's the longest few minutes I ever had to wait for anything; why didn't you call me back?" "I told you my husband was still horny, but anyway it's just like I suspected, they were phone numbers and little messages from girls asking him to call them."
"So where are the papers now?" Desreen asks. "I tore them to pieces." "Did he read them?" "No, he didn't even touch them." "I know I told you this before but I can't help saying it again, you have a really good man, hold onto him girl, there isn't a lot of them out there; I can't believe he didn't even look at them, are you sure he didn't look at them before bringing them to you?"
"I don't think he did, because he didn't even remember them until I mentioned them to him and then when he went for the pants in the bathroom it only took him like a second and I'm the one who took them out."
"Well he's either the most honest man I've ever met or he's the world's greatest liar but I think I'll go with honest; you go and be with that sexy hunk of yours, I'll pass the news on to the others." "Okay bye, I'll call you tomorrow," Diane said and ends the call.
Half an hour later Diane walks into the kitchen but there was no one there so she went outside. The lawn was spotless, she heard noises coming from the pool area so she heads in that direction. Gabriel and Jasmine were splashing around in the pool and Aunt Lisa was sitting in one of the lounge chair watching them. Jasmine saw her mother and immediately demands her attention.
"Look at me mommy, I'm a good swimmer." Diane smiled at the child as she sits beside Aunt Lisa and greets the lady with a warm good morning. "Good, you're finally up, how are you feeling this morning?" Aunt Lisa asks. "I'm fine thank you." "That's even better, Gabriel said you were a little tired which is quite understandable, last night was very hectic for you, he also told me that the two of you work out your misunderstanding." Diane looks away from her as a feeling of embarrassment came over her.
"Yes we did, he forgave me." She mumbled. "That's good, he was a little puzzled as to why you were asking for that Karen girl though." Diane didn't dare answer that question because she couldn't tell his Aunt that she thought her husband was somewhere relieving his sexual tension with another woman and of all the girls that were hanging around him last night Karen was in fact her biggest threat.
"Mummy; mummy look what I can do," Jasmine shouts drawing her away from the thoughts that were running through her mind. Jasmine kept them occupied at the pool for another half hour after which they dried off and went inside to have lunch. They were all sitting around the table on the patio about to have lunch when Aunt Lisa suggests a short prayer session before they eat and since she and Gabriel didn't get to do it earlier they agreed.
After Aunt Lisa left; Diane helps Jasmine with her bath, then the three of them curled up on the sofa in the movie theater and watched a movie; Jasmine fell asleep during the movie and Gabriel took her to her room.
He then went back to the theater and sat back down beside Diane who turns to him as soon as he did. "You know baby, I didn't come over and kissed you last night because of the papers that were in your pocket. I also came over there because you were totally ignoring me." She said with another pout.
"Excuse me? He asks puzzled. "When was I ignoring you?" He asks again. "When you were dancing with your friends; they were laughing and making funny faces at their wives but you didn't even look my way." "Really? Well, I'm sorry I didn't mean to ignore you." He said pulling her to him. "Where did you learn to dance?" She asks.
"Nowhere really, I just picked up stuff as I go along." He said kissing her forehead. "You're really good." "Thank you." He whispers leaning his cheek against her stomach. "How come you're not as jealous of me as I am of you?" She asks.
"Love of my life say what now?" He laughs. "You're not; you don't even act jealous when you see other men talking to me." She said sounding hurt. "That's because I trust you one hundred percent and I am willing to bet my life on the fact that you would never do anything to hurt me." He said kissing her neck.
"Are you saying I don't trust you?" She asks with a giggle. "Do you?" He asks. "Of course I do." "Then why do you get so angry every time a woman comes near me?" "Because I know they all want to sleep with you." "Do you think that I want to sleep with them?" "Well no but then again you could be tempted." She said taking a sip of her water.
"Do you really think that I would risk losing you and my kids for a few hours of meaningless sex? Diane I once lost everyone that I loved and honestly if it wasn't for Alex I probably wouldn't be here right now because I honestly never thought any of this was in the cards for me." He sighs.
"At one point I didn't even believe in God and I just wanted to end my life and make the pain go away and even though I didn't believe in him at that point he probably was the one that sends Alex into that room at that exact moment and now that he has saved me and given my life new meaning and have given me this incredible family; you really think that I would risk doing anything to lose you guys are you crazy woman?" He asks shaking his head.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that; it's just that sometimes I wonder if you don't love me enough to be jealous over me." She said softly and she felt a shudder ran through his body.
"Gracious heavenly father." He said and close his eyes and after taking a few deep breaths he opens them again and looks at her and the pure love and devotion that she saw in his eyes took her breath away rendering her completely speechless.
"Diane Elizabeth Maxwell; I love you so damn much that if I didn't learn to control all the love that is bubbling inside me for you; it will literally consume me. If I see a man pushing up on you I don't even have to say anything to him; just one look from me and he knows that he should step off and I know you know what I'm talking about; you have seen it." He said.
"Yes, I have." She said snuggling closer to him. "I love you so much that I'm tempted to wrap you in bubble wrap and put you in one of these closets just to keep you safe and with me forever. Just the thought of losing you and my kids like I lost my parents and my brother is enough to send me over the edge and it's with daily prayer and guidance from God that keeps me from going insane with worry." He said hugging her closer.
"It took me a long time to let go and let God take control of my family. Everything I'm now or will be in the future depends upon him and only him. You and these kids are my heartbeat Diane please don't ever forget that." He said kissing her lips gently. He then switches off the massive television and taking her by the hand he led her to their bedroom where he lays her gently on the bed and showers her with gentle kisses.
They then decided to do a little bible study and after they prayed he held her in his arms until she fell asleep; he then went to his study to catch up on some work.
Two hours later he took a break and went to check on Jasmine but she wasn't in her room, he then checked their bedroom and found Jasmine asleep next to her mother; he went over and kiss each of them on their cheeks and pull the covers up to their shoulders then smiling to himself he went back to his study.
