Chapter 36 Luxury suites

"God damn, you drive me crazy sometimes, you know that? But I love the fact that you're jealous of me and you have my permission to crush any woman that tries to come between us." He whispers as he pulls her into his arms. "Thanks but I think you're harsh enough for both of us." She said with her head down.

"You bet I am." He chuckles; slipping his fingers under her chin he brought her lips up to his and covers them in a deep passionate kiss. "You're a very jealous woman my sweet beautiful wife but I love you with all my heart." He whispers against her lips.

Jasmine enters the kitchen just in time to see her dad kissing her mom. "Ewe, not over the food!" she shrieks in disgust. He chuckles again as he pulls away from her. "Sorry pumpkin but I really love kissing your mom." Jasmine rolls her eyes at him. "I know, I know and that's why I don't come into your room when the door is closed because I really don't want to see that." She said scrunching up her nose. "Any way Lily wants to go play outside so I was wondering if we could have lunch by the pool."

"Sure we can do that." He answers clearing his throat. "Thanks, daddy; Lily and I will be waiting for you and mummy outside. Diane felt uncomfortable as she looks at Gabriel. "I guess we're going to have to be more careful." She said. "Yeah we need to be; I sometimes forget just how smart she is." "Yeah, seven going on seventeen as they would say." She adds putting the bowls on a tray so she could carry them outside. "Ain't that the truth?" He chuckled following her outside with the other tray.

The next morning Gabriel took Jasmine to school and came back with his contractor; Diane sat with them as Gabriel explain to his contractor what he wanted to accomplish within the next two weeks, he told his contractor that because of the recent parties he wanted his entire yard sprayed for insects, and since his house hadn't been painted in four years he wanted it painted inside and out.

The contractor agreed and after he left Gabriel told her that he also wanted to have the windows and drapes, sofas and carpets cleaned. He then took her by the hand and led her into the kitchen where her sisters were. "Hi ladies." "Hi, again Gabriel." "I need to talk to you ladies about something. Since it seems that Diane will be going the full nine months or very close; we have decided to use that time to take on a little beautification project." He said pouring himself a glass of milk.

"We'll be spraying the yard, painting, and cleaning, unfortunately, that means we won't be able to stay in the house, spray fumes and paint fumes could be harmful to the babies; so we have decided to check into a hotel for a few weeks." "Oh okay; so what would you like us to do?" Dana asks.

"Well after I take Jasmine to school in the mornings I'll have to come here to keep an eye on things and make sure they do exactly what we have in mind but I don't think Diane should be alone because she could go into labor anytime now so I was wondering if you ladies could come to the hotel in the mornings instead of coming here? Or maybe one of you could come here and one to the house; something along that line." He explains. "I'll go to the house," Dana said eagerly. "Nope I don't think so; I'll go to the house," Diana said hands on her hips. "Alright you ladies work it out and let me know alright but I think I'm going to need one of you here." He laughs. "Don't worry we'll have an answer for you within the hour," Dana said clearing her throat.

"But won't that be very expensive?" Diana asks. "Well yeah, but I can afford it."He said with a smile. "We know you can but since Alex has left the country; wouldn't it be easier if you guys just stay at his house?" Diana suggests. "That didn't even cross our mind but it would make it easier for Gabriel to check on the workmen than if we were at a hotel; what do you think baby boy?" Diane asks.

"Well his house is empty and there're three bedrooms and it's not too far from here but I don't know if you'll be comfortable there Diane." He adds in concern. "Well I'm willing to give it a try; if it doesn't work out then we can still go to the hotel." She said. "Okay then, let's give it a try; I'll call Alex and let him know; I have a meeting in an hour so could you ladies please help Diane pack all the stuff we'll need. The men will begin working in the morning so we'll have to leave tonight."

'No problem, we'll get it done; do you want us to pick Jasmine up from school today?" Dana asks. "No that's okay I'll get her after she's finished her swimming lesson; you ladies already have enough on your hands." He kisses Diane gently on her lips before leaving.

She and her sisters had six suitcases packed by the time Gabriel and Jasmine came home and at Seven pm Diane went up to see if he was ready. She poked her head in before entering. "Um …baby boy, are you about ready to leave?" She asks. "Yeah just give me a few more minutes."

She then went back to their room to get a few more things and went back downstairs and Gabriel came down fifteen minutes later. He packs the suitcases in the back of the Escalade, puts Lily in the back seat beside Jasmine, closes up the house; sets the alarm, then left.

Half an hour later they pulled into Alex's garage; they enter the house and a few minutes later they settled Jasmine in one of the guest rooms and they took the other. Diane was tired so she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. It was now twelve-thirty am and he was still working on his laptop pausing every few minutes to smile at his sleeping wife.

Suddenly Diane began thrashing around in the bed and he jumps and almost drops the laptop off his lap. Setting it down quickly he turns to her and began shaking her gently. "Diane, Diane baby; wake up." She swung her hand through the air and it catches him square on his cheek. He tried holding her hands down but that only made matters worst.

She began screaming and sobbing while still thrashing around. "Get off me, Alex….. Get away from me….no… no... Stop it!.... Get away from me!" He knew he had to calm her down before she harms herself and the babies. "Diane! It's me, for God's sake wake up!" Her eyes shot open and she jerks away from him, then with tears running down her face she got up took up her clothes off the chair, and began getting dressed.

He walks over to her and pulled her gently against him, her entire body was shaking. "Shhh it's okay baby girl, it's alright, I guess it wasn't such a good idea to come here, after all, I should have known better."

She was crying even harder when she looked up at him. "I'm... I'm sorry baby boy but I can't stay here; I need to leave this house right now." "But it's after midnight." "I don't care, I need to leave now! Baby please, I don't want to stay here please I want to go home." She sobs.

"Do you remember the reason we left the house in the first place, Diane? I wanted you out of the house when the men began spraying tomorrow morning." He explains in a soft calm tone. "I know and I'll get up early and be out of there before they arrive." "I don't think it's a good idea; maybe we should head to the hotel instead." "No! I want to go home!"

"Diane; Jasmine is sleeping and I don't want to move her right now; now I realized it was a very bad idea to come here but you said you were willing to give it a try, so couldn't we at least try and stick it out for the rest of the night?" Diane's dark brown eyes blazed with anger as she stared at him. "I can't believe you would ask me to stay here after what just happened."

"I'm not trying to be insensitive baby; I just thought we could…." "Gabriel, if you do not take me home right now, I'll drive that damn car myself." She said cutting him off before he could finish. "Calm down baby girl, all I was suggesting was that we could….." "Now Gabriel!" She said cutting him off again. He sighs heavily and threw his hands up in the air. "Alright, fine I'll take you home."

The next morning he got out of bed, took a shower, read his daily morning chapter, and prayed. He then went into Jasmine's room with the intention of waking her up and getting her ready for school but the child kept moaning that she was tired so he let her sleep.

He then went back into their bedroom to wake Diane but she also just moaned and pull the covers tighter around her, unsure of what to do next he sighs heavily; running his fingers through his hair he picked up his cell and called her sisters; he then calls the hotel and books one of their royal luxury suites with an adjoining suite for his daughter; he then went into the kitchen and began preparing breakfast for his two sleeping girls.

Diane's sisters arrived at the house an hour after he called them. He let them in and they met him in the kitchen. "Good morning ladies." "Good morning Gabriel; what are you guys doing back here?" Diana asks. "Diane had a horrible nightmare last night while at Alex's; she dreamed he was attacking her again." "Oh no, she must have freaked," Dana said with a wide-eyed expression on her face.

"Trust me that's putting it mildly." He stated indicating to the red mark on his face where her hand hit him the night before. "I tried talking her into sticking it out for the night but that didn't go so well." "She hit you?" Dana asks in shock. "Not intentionally, she was still sleeping; she didn't even know she hit me until we got here last night."

"So you had to bring everyone home again; dog and all?" Diana asks with a laugh. "Yep, now unfortunately for me neither of them can wake up and the spray men are on their way which is exactly what I didn't want to happen." He said with a loud sigh. "Well it was our bright idea that she go there in the first place, so since we help create this mess we may as well help clean it up; I'll go wait for the spray men and tell them to begin spraying around the back; Dana you go wake up Jasmine, she'll have to skip school today and Gabriel you go get Diane out of bed."

"Oh man; I really wish I didn't have to wake her up right now." He said running his hands over his face. "I know, she needs all the rest she can get but she can't be around the spray so we don't have a choice; just be gentle." Diana laughs.

"Aren't I always?' He asks giving Diana a warm smile which made her knees turn to jelly. Taking a deep breath to steady her nerves she went outside welcoming the fresh cool breeze on her hot flushed face. As he ran up the stairs he was trying to come up with the best way to wake his very pregnant wife.
