Ashton watched Cara as she confidently make her opening speech. She is undoubtedly getting better with it. She needs this skill as the Sakalam as she is the destined one to lead her kind. Ashton smiled as he is one proud servant for the Sakalam.
"This woman, I can't get enough of her… I like her so much it feels like the word like itself is an understatement." Ashton's thoughts focused on Cara. Even with the current situation; the spell stopping him from loving Cara; it makes a negligible difference to him. Cara is already taking an enormous part of his life of his heart. "If this isn't what you call love, I don't know what is." He chuckled to himself as he took a deep sigh at his realization. Ashton is even saying cliché lines like this without cringing.
Cara looked at him and smiled sweetly after her speech. Ashton's heart instantly melts upon seeing her smile. "Is this normal? How can this woman do this to me? She just kissed me last night and now I think I am going crazy." Ashton's internal monologue is in a fiasco.
They stepped out of stage and walked towards the view deck nearby where they will have dinner with Percy's family.
"Love? Are you okay? You seem out of it." Cara asked as she anchored her arm in Ashton's arms.
Ashton kissed Cara's head. "I was just thinking of someone beautiful." He whispered to Cara's ears.
Cara moved her head away from Ashton and raised her eyebrows. "Don't tell me you spotted a beauty while your wife is busy on stage." She sneered at him.
"How did you know? God, you must be a psychic!" Ashton mocked Cara.
"Heh, you are not such a loyal servant. You need to be punished." Cara whispered to Ashton. Though she meant it literally, the message it sent to Ashton took a different turn.
"Oh please, babe I can't wait to be punished again like last night." He firmly placed his hand on her hips and pulled her closer to him.
Cara coughed at his reaction. "No, Ashton, I mean punish as in punish, not like that punish." She barely made her case sensible. It made her curious what she did to Ashton last night, but she is afraid to ask, scared of the answer.
Ashton laughed at Cara's reaction, but with his admission of checking out other girls made her upset. She kept quiet until they reached the view deck.
"Hey Cara, I'd like you to meet my family." Percy excitedly introduced her entire family. This is something Cara never experienced before, but finally knowing people she belongs with is enough for the hole it left on her.
They ate lunch together and shared stories like they knew each other for a long time already. Ashton was feeling restless he can sense a witch hunter nearby but he can't locate it. He warned Cara and Percy. He also called Barry to make sure there are no gate crashers.
"Stay in groups Percy, it would be safer for you." Ashton advised Percy and her family. She nodded and accepted his request.
"Okay, don't worry they can't harm us when we are together. We are stronger than them. Why don't you two fix your problem that stench from the Sakalam's face is unbearable." Percy laughed at Ashton and tapped his shoulders.
Cara glared at Percy. "What do you mean? I'm okay. In fact, I will go to the beach later to check out hot guys." She said in sarcasm. Percy and Ashton laughed at her again. It made Cara feel more frustrated. She walked out on them.
Ashton followed her "Babe, wait for me!" He shouted trying to catch up with Cara. They rode in the elevator, and there are other people in there. They acted normally and smiled to other people who are obviously in awe when they saw them up close and personal.
Ashton is still amused by Cara's reaction. He likes what he sees in her. The reeking jealousy from her is an affirmation to Ashton.
As soon as they entered their room, Cara rummaged through the suitcase their staff prepared for her. She got a couple of clothes in her hand and went straight to the toilet, the only closed area in this big honeymoon suite. Ashton did the same and changed his clothes right next to the toilet door.
"What the heck is this?" Cara exclaimed, while looking at the small pieces of clothes she's inspecting. Ashton's staff packed skimpy swimsuits for Cara. The type she would not normally wear.
Cara slapped her forehead "I'm fuc*ed up. I can't go out there looking like a loser." She took a deep breath and tried on the first one she got her hand on.
It is a black triangle push up bikini top and a black bottom with golden rings on the sides. As much as she hates to admit it, she feels good about herself in this swimsuit.
"Okay, I'm good with this." She said, and then exhaled heavily before she opened the toilet door.
It surprised her that Ashton was standing directly at the door. He heard the door open up. He instantly moved to make way for Cara. But his soul almost left his body at the sight of his sexy wife. Not like she's trying to be seductive, but her appeal to Ashton is undeniable.
She saw Ashton's eyes gleamed at the sight of her; it satisfied her. However, that is just the first step. She still has not punished him enough.
She went to the bathroom where the sink and mirror were. The bathroom surprisingly feels cozy because of the warm floor even if the bare glass walls make your privacy non-existent.
Cara fixed her hair in a high ponytail, in her peripheral vision, she saw Ashton walking closer toward her. She pretended not to mind him standing too close at her even if she can now fully see his reflection in the mirror.
He took off the black and white Hawaiian floral polo he is wearing. Cara's eyes widened. Seeing him take off his top, her heart almost fell to the ground. She can't lose her grip just yet. His washboard abs and broad chest cannot make her forget everything just yet.
She immediately faced him. "What are you doing?" Cara confronted Ashton, speaking to him for the first time in a while.
"Wear this." He said, putting on his shirt on Cara.
"What? No!" Cara made it clear that she does not want it. "Are you pushing that machismo rape mentality on me?" She further reiterated.
Ashton knows Cara is right, but that was not the reason why he wanted to cover her. He wants this alluring side of Cara all to himself. But he can't claim his wife. Their hearts do not belong together and will never be.
"Okay then, if you decide to do this then, I will go out wearing these board shorts only." He blurted out.
"The hell I care about how you dress?" Cara answered him right away. Ashton.
Ashton raised his hand in surrender and gestured to seal his mouth.
Cara wore her sunglasses and took her wide-brimmed hat, and then she also tied a white shoal to her hips. Inwardly Ashton smiled as he felt he won this battle over Cara.
Side by side, they went downstairs to the beach area. Ashton again picked up a witch hunter's scent. He looked around and saw Theo.
"Cara!" Theo shouted out Cara's name and hurriedly walked up to her.
"Oh my God, Theo! I did not expect to see you here." Cara hugged Theo tight. Ashton's heart was shattered into pieces when he picked up Cara's happy scent.
It is the first time in a long time that he saw and smelled her happiness. And it is never with him, it's always because of Theo.
He looked down, not wanting to disturb Cara and Theo. Out of his mind, he did not realize that Cara and Theo continued walking; he looked around but he can't see where Cara is and he can't smell Theo anymore.
"What the fu*k I let the Sakalam be with a witch hunter." He raked his hair in disbelief at how he easily let go of Cara like that.
He started looking for them, relying on the traces of Theo's scent. His chest is feeling tighter, which is making it harder for him to breathe. The effect of being away from Cara is donning on him. It hasn't been that long yet he firmly believes he can manage to find Cara soon.

Cara was too elated to see Theo who wanted to show her his new boat without realizing she left Ashton behind. She turned around. And he's nowhere near. "Where's Ashton?" Cara asked Theo.
Theo shrugged his shoulder. He also did not notice that he was not following them anymore.
"I'm sure he is okay, let's just ride my boat and come back in a few minutes."
Cara is worried for Ashton. He will die without her. "I'm sorry, Theo. I can't just leave without my husband." She said to Theo and ran back to where she last saw Ashton. Her heart is beating so fast feeling worried sick for her husband.
"Ashton, please be okay… please, please."
