Living in pain

Anthony just arrived in the kingdom of Etona after he managed to conquer the wizarding kingdom.

A throbbing feeling crept into his mind as he lay down on his bed.

As if something was wrong, like a very big sadness and a deep sense of disappointment that seemed to swirl around his feelings at this time.

"Airin..." Anthony muttered quietly, he closed his eyes and tried to find the reflection of Airin's face but he still couldn't find it.

"I did all this for you. Please don't punish me like this." Anthony started crying emotionally as if his heart was fitting once again.

All he did to the wizarding kingdom was so that he could become king, he just wanted to find the killer of Airin and his emotions got out of control when he saw the witch, he recalled how Airin was always depressed by her burden as a moon goddess so Anthony didn't hesitate to hurt them, but why did Airin seem angry with him?

"You shouldn't treat me like this, Airin." Anthony's anger rose again and screamed in frustration.

"Even when you die, you will rise again and come to me."

The curse he pinned on Airin suddenly reached his ear, Anthony instantly woke up.

"I hope my curse brings you back to me." Anthony talks like he's been desperate. His deep love for Airin drives him crazy.

"Anthony..."

Anthony turned to hear the sound, then turned his face when he saw his father enter his room.

"You don't use your crown, why you fight for that position?" Arthur said when he saw Anthony's crown on the floor.

"It is mine, I have the right to treat it at all costs."

Arthur sighs, he steps up to Anthony and stands right next to him.

"Are you feeling better now?"

Anthony turned around, he looked at Arthur because he didn't understand what he was saying.

"When you're still feeling restless even though you've got what you want, there may be something wrong with the way you got it."

Anthony laughs quietly at what his father has to say.

"You told me to do it, your highness," Anthony said as if mocking.

"I haven't heard you call me dad for a long time." Arthur looks down sad because he and Anthony used to be very close.

"It's been a long time before I've finally realized that you never loved me."

"The universe knows how much I love you."

"More than you love Alexander?"

"Anthony, I never distinguished you!"

Anthony laughs at Arthur's words and in an instant his laughter disappears, turning into a sharp, hateful stare.

"Then why did you come here and tell me I've done the wrong thing. If you love me as much as Alexander, you shouldn't mind if I become king someday!"

"You just don't understand, Anthony. The power you have is terrifying and slowly overwhelms you."

"You who have never understood how I feel all this time, your Highness." Anthony's rebuttal, he held back his tears that pushed out because his heart was so sore as his father increasingly showed that he had never been loved all this time.

"I just don't want you to turn into a monster, my son."

"Then you should have taught me how to control it instead of trying to get rid of me."

Anthony was so angry, he leaves Arthur in his room and even deliberately kicks the crown he just received when he arrived earlier.

"I have no one but you, so I beg you to come back to me Airin. Come back to me!" Anthon screamed as he banged on the wall until it cracked.

Usually, this castle tower is always a place that makes his mind calm if he feels depressed but this time he feels increasingly squeezed and can not breathe.

"Please come back to me, Airin..."

Airin awoke from her sleep in shock, the strange dream came again, about a man she could not see his face but his voice always sounded sad and after that, she must have felt a deep sadness as if she had lost something very precious in her life.

Sometimes she dreams of being in a strange place but feels very warm with a man who embraces her tightly, a man who he realizes always comes into his dream since he was a child until she was twenty years old now and the man remains the same only his face was always covered by dark shadows.

"Who is he?" Airin massages her temple, the more she thinks about it the more she doesn't find the answer and makes her feel crazier and crazier because of the feelings that make her feel like she was heartbroken even though she never experienced it maybe her life in this world was too scared that she craves somewhere else to be happy.

Yes, this place was so scary, as if the whole world was destined to hurt her so that Airin always feels pain, living with adoptive parents who don't care about her and make her just as a public image while her two adoptive brothers and sister half-dead hate her until they don't hesitate to beat her to the point that her whole body feels crushed and no one defends her.

They say it was appropriate for her to accept because she is just a child who is not clear who her parents are, banished from infancy, and worthless.

Sometimes she feels like dying, but many times she feels dying, he will still be alive even this second.

Airin could only sigh deeply, there was nothing she could do but accept everything and hoped there was a miracle that she would make it away from this place that felt like hell.

"Hey, lazy bitch wake up!"

The sound of screaming shocked Airin when Amanda opened the door of her room violently, a door that couldn't be locked because she wasn't living in a room but a shed on the roof of the house.

"Until when do you want to sleep? Do you want to get our family caught on purpose?" Amanda comes up with an angry face, she scolds Airin and pulls her from the top of her bed to make Airin fall.

Today there was a team of supervisors comes to see her condition, it has been six years since she was adopted by the Temandric family and the supervisory team always comes every end of the year to see her condition.

"Wait a minute Amanda, my legs hurt." Ask Airin begged. Her leg was still bleeding as she stepped on the shards of the broken plate because the plate she was carrying fell and as punishment for the mistake Airin had to walk on the broken plate. It's been two days but the wound has never healed because it was never healed.

"So you're going to walk limply when the superintendent comes?" Amanda screams again, she's a year above Airin but she has the same bad temper as her parents and her older brother.

"That's not it, I mean don't drag me..."

"So you want me to lead you carefully as soon as my dear sister?"

Airin waa getting more and more frightened, usually when Amanda starts to be nice then next she will get a new wound.

"Don't dream!" Amanda without hesitation pushes Airin to make Airin fall.

"If you don't come down in five minutes then I'll make sure the dogs outside will bite you until we lose your leg!" Threaten Amanda before she finally leaves Airin's room.

All Airin can do is cry, she used to think getting a new family meant new happiness but she was wrong, the new family meant a new wound that was more sick and painful

and her body that had been injured so many times made her so weak she couldn't fight back.

In the end, Airin stayed out despite the limp, the cloth covering the wound on the soles of his feet looked wet because of Airin's blood that kept coming out, his face very pale. She holds on to the stairs and turns to Rafael who looks happy to see her in pain as if he were deliberately standing on the stairs just to see her in pain while walking.

"Wouldn't it be better if you died, you wouldn't feel any more pain?" Rafael laughs, he accidentally bumps into Airin's shoulder until Airin almost falls if only Airin doesn't hold on then he has rolled down the stairs.

All Airin can do just look at Rafael hatefully because Rafael always asks her to die but when she was starting to recover, he always teases her which sometimes makes Airin feel afraid if at any time Rafael will sneak into her room.

Airin arrives below where Tamara was waiting for her, her adoptive mother puts on an irritating face that is irresistible and impatiently pulls Airin who she thinks was very long-running.

"You deliberately stalled so that the officers came to see you like this?" Shout Tamara.

Airin shook her head and cried, "No mama, my legs just hurt so much."

"That's why you have to work properly!" Instead of feeling sorry, Tamara instead pushed Airin's head with her hands. "Stupid girl! Stop crying and come with me!"
