VIERUNDZWANZIG

I went outside to find the Master-Servant, who was reading a newspaper. He bowed and greeted me as soon as he saw me. "Can I call Theodore?" I politely inquired. He replied, "Of course, My Lady," and I thanked him.

Is he still employed? I will not bother him if he is busy, so I sighed and began walking back upstairs. I dialed Theodore's number. He picked up the phone after it rang twice. "Why are you still up late, Mei?" he inquired as soon as he received his response. "I have a meeting tomorrow," I said, and there was silence on the other side as if an angel had passed by.

"And who are you meeting with?" he asked monotonously. "It's someone who wants to make an acquaintance with me, I guess it'd be a good start for me," he sighed on the other end of the line.

"Just be careful, Mei, and take the carriage there," he advised. "Thank you; I'll be leaving at 8:00," he said as he hung up the phone. I was sleepy afterward, so I jumped into bed as soon as I got out of the shower.
