Cupid

After doing her daily night routine, ZouMi adjust the curtains at the walk-through window in her room, when she sensed someone near. She grabbed a blanket and walked to the small pound in the garden.

As expected, a certain someone was sitting on the bench and staring at nothing. ZouMi with little soft light steps walked towards the bench and placed the blanket on her shoulder to cover her.

"Why are you up?" ZouMi asked, while wrapping the blanket close to that person.

"Simply."

"Hmm... You need no reason to sleep, while a simple reason to stay awake." ZouMi sat down beside her. YangYang placed her head on her sister's shoulder, while the latter placed her hand on her shoulder and embrace her tightly.

"What it is that is disturbing you?" ZouMi asked.

She waited patiently for her sister's answer.

After a long silence she finally said,

"Zu.."

"Hmm."

"I don't know what to do? My experience tells me not to trust anyone, while my heart is willing to submit."

"Submit to whom?"

"Submit to the love being shown, submit to the peace which calms me, submit to the eyes, which trust me."

Listening to her sister, ZouMi had got what was disturbing her, so she took a deep breath and said, "Look, for one's mistake you don't have to destroy your life. That dog wasn't worthy of you and the best thing is that, you escaped from him. And what's the best example better than me, of not letting other's mistakes ruin your life. Faith gives you two chances and what dad taught us? 'First chance would be best for one who is good, but life gives second chance, which is great, to the one who is excellent.' And look life gave you a second chance." Stopping for a while she continued, "Brain alone can't lead you to live a life, heart has its own share. When there is a debate between heart and brain you first need to calm down and question yourself, 'at this situation do you need your heart to work or your brain?' If the answer is still confusing look for the things that make you happy and go for it."

YangYang chuckled, realizing something, "You cupid! You already knew that MaoHo loves me that's why you didn't beat him like you did to others, right?"

ZouMi stuck her tongue out, when she got caught, "I want my sister to have the best and, MaoHo is good. I didn't find any reason to brush him off, when I saw he genuinely makes you happy." She said, what was on her mind.

"So, you think I should give him a chance?"

"Deep in you, you already gave him a chance. Rather you accepted him, but you're scared to open up, scared of the pain that was left in your heart."

"How can you read me like a book? How can you see through my emotions, while I, myself is confused?" YangYang was surprised.

ZouMi chuckled and creased her shoulder, choose to say nothing. Of course, she could see through her emotions, how can she not? ZouMi herself has gone from this phase, while YangYang had in love life and the latter, with her life. The dilemma is, in living with the pain for the rest of the live or to just end it at once and that's painful.

Both the humans, embraced each other while their mind drifted in their own world.

ZouMi affectionately creased her sister's hair and said, "Sleep, tomorrow is the start of a new phase in your life, leaving the past behind."

"Zu, does our past, really leave us?" YangYang asked innocently.

"It's up to you, if you hold on to it, it'll haunt you. If you choose to leave it, it won't bother you."

"When are you going to apply your words on your own life?" She looked at her younger sister, who aged very soon.

"Some things are not in our hand, I choose to leave my past, but it's not easy to erase my part of existence, is it? Anyway that won't affect me, after all, I've you all." ZouMi lied through her teeth.

How can she not be affected? How can she erase that memory of those lust full eyes, dirty hands on her body roaming? How can she erase that ruffling sound of herself underneath a hand, the pain in her throat? More over, how can she forget those eyes of people she meet showing displease, when she moves around smiling, trying hard to be normal, when they just want to prove, she isn't?

Yet, she chose to live, a life which is worse than death. A life in which, you've to erase yourself for lust of others. A life, in which people judge you and treat you like you're nothing.

There is a saying, 'Don't judge a book by its cover', and, 'You'll never understand the depth of the situation, until you're in it.'

But, people choose to ignore these sayings, and do as they like, even if it hurts someone.

Both the sisters, just sat there embracing each other, when ZouMi was in her own world she felt the steady breaths of her sister on her shoulder.

"Sigh... This girl." ZouMi shake her head and held her sister's hand on her neck, then placed a hand underneath her sister's thigh and one hand at the back. Swiftly, she carried her in a bridal way, like her weight was nothing. This was the result of her intense training from, the past four years. Moving up towards her sister room, ZouMi placed her on her bed, sat there for a while and gently kissed her sister forehead and murmured to herself, "Even if I get nothing, I want you all, to get everything. And I promise that." ZouMi walked out of her sister's room, when she has to cross her parents room. From the last four years, she had been avoiding to come upstairs just, so she doesn't need to pass by that room.

'Dad, the plan of your revenge has started, I want them to go crazy, turn around for help, like mad. Let them feel this torturer to an extreme level, they would never think of. All you've to do is wake up and sit on the throne, which belongs to you.'
